  • I really like SlideShare because there are so many categories and interesting content available for free. SlideShare provides information to users very easily in its great interface looks good and acts good too. The app is fast, and there aren’t any annoying ads to clutter things up.

  • SlideShare is a useful service for storing, sharing and studying presentations. The ability to convert to the Flash format is fantastic when people need to share presentations with others and don't want to worry whether they have the compatible software to view it. The ability to embed presentations into a blog or site is also a very nice. Businesses, educators and entrepreneurs are all target-users for this application.

  • I can now upload my presentation that I think might be of interest, or presentation that someone has seen that they have requested me to upload, and make them available to anyone who can access SlideShare.net. In fact, I can even update the presentations that I upload to ensure that they stay as current as I can possibly keep them. When they do become truly out of date, I can mark them as so or just delete them from the SlideShare.net web site. From a presenters point of view, or better yet, my point of view, what could be better for those I am trying to get this information out to.

Slideshare is a good option to upload your homework and documents when you want to share it or specific people to see it. I've used this mostly to upload my works and documents from college in general and also to share documents with people on my job. It's stable and show your documents in a decent way, also it's pretty popular among students so it's full of useful resources like resumes examples, guides and more. It's a fast platform taking in count the high traffic of users and uploads.

    Pros :

Somethings that I think slideshare is doing well:

    • Uploading: Slideshare is fast when you want to upload a file, I've used mostly with PDF files and it has work without problems even in heavy files.
    • Privacy: One of the things that are important to me in this kind of platforms is privacy because there are some documents that you don't want to show to everybody, and in order to make this possible you can select a document as private, you can also make it public if you want everybody to see it. Also I know slideshare is pretty secure because there are a couple of important organizations using suck as Dell, White House, NASA, so it means it has to be secure.
    • Embedding: Surprisingly it's really easy to embed in other websites so it's great to upload public files and share with people in your website or blog. Also it's really common to see LinkedIn profiles embedding curriculums from slideshare.
    • Social impact: I think slideshare has the potential to make ideas and projects grow based on presentations and creativity, the fact that you can share documents in an easy way is perfect to target users and networks in different sites.

    Cons :

    • I think slideshare is good but the way they use to show the slides is too crude, it feels like if some presentations are a little low quality, they could add some kind of simple transition between documents maybe. After saying this I don't really think andnbsp;any of these things are deal breakers, I'd definitely recommend you to use it and I'll keep using it for sure.

An exclusive and a different conceptual company or service rather that offers a web based slide hosting service that enables users to upload files in a manner that can be secured to themselves or it can further be for public purposes. It allows users to easily view through the topics and theories, about various products, companies, studies researches and many more documents. Technically it can be termed as the youtube for slides where when can have the visual model of the idea, project, product or service. It serves as a wide platform in providing education and references for students studying all across the globe in various schools and colleges. The more connections they are making the more users are involved that can further help in more sharing of the information. Apart from serving only for the educational purposes the site is also serving well in the entertainment industry and providing various topics for people to enjoy and chill.

    Pros :

    • It has provided an exclusive source for various topics that I had always been looking forward for my various projects and thesis work.It has provided me with enough of information that I could grab from the internet related to any particular topic.
    • The data is vast with detailed description of each topic covering almost all its aspects. Spam and fake profiles are less as compared to other same websites.
    • Realizing the fact of uploading the data it has given me access to upload not only slides but also Word documents, Microsoft excel files and other formats too.
    • The Sharing of audio and video being its added feature has helped one to get stuck with this site as for educational as well as entertainment purposes.

    Cons :

    • There is no access to edit the data which is not correct or improper, this lead to improper data to remain always on the cloud server and creating unnecessary problems in surfing for useful data over the site.
    • Apart from this there is great problem observed while uploading videos and this problem is being faced all throughout the country.
    • The technical team is supporting the issue but the problem is not yet solved.

SlideShare is a simple and easy method to share and read content from subject matter experts. If you are a thought leader, you can also publish your own content in just a matter of minutes for others to view. The platform is really easy to use, intuitive and makes information readily available and presents content in a digestible format. You can choose to break up large chunks of content into multiple slides to create targeted presentations on key topics.

    Pros :

Similar to PowerPoint, SlideShare provides an easy to use outlet for sharing and viewing content. You can implement infographics, images, PDFs, documents, videos, animation and much more. SlideShare allows you to bring your content to life in a visual format, increasing the likelihood that others will read it. SlideShare is an excellent way to share content with a wider audience, such as press releases, product announcements, bylined articles, white papers and case studies. Unlike PowerPoint, SlideShare presentations are available for free for others to view them online, making it crucial to select an interesting title with keywords to ensure the right people can find it. Additionally, you can include tags throughout your presentation, allowing those to be searchable as well. SlideShare is very easy to use and user-friendly. In addition to including a PDF in a presentation, you can also break up the content from a PDF onto multiple slides. If you plan to use SlideShare frequently, you can create a custom business page with information about yourself and your company to make you page even more credible. SlideShare also enables you to track the number of viewers for each presentation. You can also use SlideShare as part of your lead generation program.

    Cons :

The only con is that there are sometimes limitations to the size of presentations you can upload. Files cannot be larger than 20 MB, which can be challenging, depending on your goal.

Slideshare is a simple and easy way to share presentations online and widely used. I've used it to show off websites, apps and other visual things on my LinkedIn profile. Linkedin acquired the company probably for this purpose and since they audiences are both business users. The neat thing about Slideshare is you can use it to collect leads. You can select what you want: First Name, Last Name, Email, Company, State, and many other details, even your own custom fields. You can show when you want the lead form to show up. However you pay per lead, starting at a $4 per lead "introductory price". A little steep, but in reality pretty affordable in the per lead pricing realm. You can also go to Slideshare's homepage and view some really interesting presentations. It's in the very familiar linear presentation format, click click click to scroll through slides. That gives you time to absorb each slide at your own pace to think about the message being presented. It gives familiar functions for users: the ability to Comment, Share, Like and Download presentations. You can use a variety of formats to create presentations, not just Powerpoint, but Keynote, Google Slides, Skitch, and over 10 others. You can embed the slideshow, and share it on social media to get views. I don't know how, but I have 107 followers, I think they've come in mostly from connecting with Facebook, so that in itself is a good starting audience with which to share content.

    Pros :

    • Free, except when you want to pay for leads.
    • Pretty good for SEO too, to get ranked and you can have links within your presentation to your video, website, or social media page.

    Cons :

Slideshows are an OK way to share content, and people seem to much prefer single images, infographics or videos these days. Presentations are more for a business-oriented market.

SlideShare is the world’s largest community to share your presentation, docs, pdfs, videos and webinars. It allows anyone to view, download and comment on document of their interest. It offers a platform for businesses to share their thought leadership and even generate some leads as people who see or download their documents might be interested in them. With its acquisition by LinkedIn, people can add their Slideshare content to their LinkedIn profile. One can also create amazing decks from scratch on Slideshare using Haiku platform. One just needs to add text and select an image and visually stunning slide is ready. If you are looking for any slide deck or information on any other topics, there are very high chances that you will find something relevant on Slideshare for sure.

    Pros :

SlideShare is a key lead generation platform. Slideshare offers to create lead forms which can be inserted in between slides for maximum response. Now one can just chose a target audience along with a geographical location and start a lead form campaign. LinkedIn Autofill option is also present which can help capture information directly from the LinkedIn profile which will be of higher quality. With LinkedIn Autofill, the users are not required to fill the lead forms manually which means lead form conversions are also expected to be higher. With its integration with CRM solutions like Marketo and HubSpot, actionable leads can directly be imported into the HubSpot. One can chose to follow the influencers or someone whose content they like a lot. Each slide is also provided a permanent URL.

    Cons :

SlideShare cannot be used as your personal cloud storage for your documents. In other words, you cannot choose not to share your uploaded documents with anyone or cannot even put constraints on who can view the document. Everything uploaded to Slideshare is a public content. However, you can put a restriction so that users cannot download your content. URL shortener is missing which can make it easy to share SlideShare content links on twitter. There are certain limitations on the file size that can be uploaded. Files cannot be more than 20 MB in size.

SlideShare is a great place to read content from subject matter experts and, if you’re a thought leader, to self publish your own content in just a matter of minutes. It’s super easy to use and makes information readily available and easily digestible because you can break up content into multiple slides to form mini presentations on key topics.

Pros : I like that SlideShare provides another outlet for sharing content and allows you to do so with infographics, documents, videos and more. It’s a great way to make your content more visual, which is always more appealing to audiences. I’ve recommended SlideShare to clients as a way to generate additional exposure for content such as press releases, articles and white papers. Since it’s free for individuals to access these materials, it’s a great way to get more people to see the content. Make a catchy title for your presentation to ensure it’s searchable. I like that you can also use tags to highlight the key topics within your presentation and make it even more searchable. I really like how easy SlideShare is to use. It’s very user friendly and the flexibility in the types of content you can upload is great. You can add a pre-designed PDF to SlideShare or you can break up the content from one PDF page into multiple more digestible slides. The possibilities are truly endless. If you’re going to be using the platform a lot, you can create a customized business page to add even more credibility to your profile. You can track the number of followers you receive and the number of views on each presentation. You can even use SlideShare for lead generation.

Cons : So far I haven’t encountered anything that I dislike about this platform. It’s simple to use and another great tool for me and my firm’s clients.

Slideshare is a great tool to retain storyboard information, and then be able to publish that information in multiple places on the web. The popularity of infographics share a number of the attributes which I really like about SlideShare - you can tell your story, along with many facts with a number of statistics, without losing the impact of your presentation. Instead of sending a bulky PowerPoint file, you can embed a SlideShare presentation on your website, or as a social media post quickly. LinkedIn acquired SlideShare for many of these reasons.

Pros : - Powerful way to present a lot of information with statistics, research data and many bullet points - Provides marketers with an easy way to embed the content of a webinar presentation or contently like success story profiles, and make that data shareable via LinkedIn, or the SlideShare platform itself - Integration with marketing platforms like Hubspot and Marketo accelerates lead capture opportunities, as an alternative to whitepapers or long form text content which users may not want to read all the way through - Compelling way to share thought leadership in your domain, in a similar way to TedTalks

Cons : - SlideShare uses the Adobe Flash plugin, so most mobile devices won't be able to show it, and Google doesn't like Flash these days either. You likely will have to convert the SlideShare file to an iFrame before embedding into a website. - You can't track who has viewed your Slideshare presentation on the main hub, or how many views you have. - You have to author your content in a separate application like PowerPoint before uploading to SlideShare
