About OneDrive

Microsoft OneDrive is an online document storage that allows users to save and share photos, videos, documents, and more. Microsoft OneDrive is password-protected and asks for a Windows Live ID so as to sign up for its service. Users can then perform personal, shared, and public folders and determine who can enter and update the content in each folder.

  • Microsoft OneDrive is 1TB of online cloud storage that's bundled with a Microsoft Office 365 subscription, which means that you get access to three of the most used software applications on a PC – Word, Excel and PowerPoint. While the download speed was far below average, the upload speed was exceptional. The lack of encryption at the server level is a concern, but the two-step verification option is an excellent feature.

    Pros :

    Cons :

  • OneDrive's low prices are perfect for people that want to focus mainly on syncing and accessing their files across their devices and on the web. However, we would not recommend this service to double as users' online backup solution. It is a great service for on-the-go files access, but if you run into a computer catastrophe like a crash or theft, you may find yourself unready to restore your system if OneDrive is your one-stop shop.

    Pros :

    Cons :

  • The best cloud storage service for businesses standardising on Windows devices, with a lot of capacity for not much cash

    Microsoft OneDrive (before known as Sky Drive) is a cloud storage service by Microsoft. You can use it from your browser, your desktop app and also from your smartphone. One fundamental thing is that they offer you an initial 15 GB of storage space, that you can extend for how much you prefer.

    You can also use Office Online, so you can change and share your Office files directly from your browser. It's very comfortable, because you can use it for work without any sync problem.

    I think OneDrive is one of the best cloud storage services, thanks to its very easy way to manage it. One of the most significant items that make it good is to be able to get all the files you need also offline. It's very useful for me, mostly because, for example, I'm often traveling: this way, I don't need a wi-fi connection to work anymore.

    Pros :

    • You have all of your files in just one position.
    • To be able to get your desktop app, your smartphone app and also use it from your browser. This is a fundamental advantage if you need your photos or your files when you have not your laptop with you.
    • 15 GB of initial storage space. If you have only doc files that don't weight too much, I think you will never complete all the space :)
    • If you don't have Microsoft Office, you can use Office Online for free: it's included with OneDrive service.
    • When you use your camera, OneDrive creates an automatic backup, and it saves instantly your pictures in a folder.

    Cons :

    • Actually, I just have only one "complaint" for OneDrive. In fact, my desktop app sometimes doesn't work very well, and it doesn't update all the files instantly. For the rest, I'm sure I have to say that I'm totally satisfied with the product.andnbsp;
