3dcart Use Cases and Deployment ScopeWe used 3dcart as our website and shopping cart. It served as a marketing tool as well.
Pros : Strong shopping cart capabilities, with all types of promotions and discounting capabilities. Easy to set up the promotion and implement the campaign.Integration with our email provider to be able to segment buyers based on timing of purchase.Easy to use blog, was able to set up each post simply and create SEO/Meta tags associated with each post.Products set up was easy and there are options for categories and classes to make setting up the store easy.Easy to use for someone with no programming
Cons : Using images on the site and in the blog was a cumbersome process. The upload was easy enough, but finding and using the image after upload was terrible. The navigation of the images was difficult and there were no sort functions. For a simple site without the need for a log in admin or shipping, these functions and capabilities were not easily hidden or removed. You needed to have a programmer go into the code to remove them. For a tool like 3dcart, it seemed to be something they could have

3dcart offers most of the tools you need to sell your products online. As you can see in this review, it does have a few drawbacks compared to other platforms such as BigCommerce and Shopify. One advantage 3dcart does have over other competitors is the fact that the platform is very easy for everyone to use, while still offering more advanced features for those designers who need these.

Having now spent the week with 3dcart, I should have a good idea what type of person would take to it’s endless array of features. The only true standout feature I experienced was the technical support. 3dcart includes a reporting feature, page full ofSEO tools, and even a lightweight CRM. But none of them are particularly well executed. Given that 3dcart has been around for 15 years, and reminds me of Microsoft Office. I picture both products starting out with a small set of critical features that are easily accessible. But with each version, comes more complexity and advanced features. Over time, the product becomes less accessible and caters to a smaller niche of customers.

Between the clunky admin and bland templates, I wasn’t very impressed by 3dcart. I think they have ton of built-in features, but the interface just isn’t very clean or user friendly, in my opinion. The complaints about customer support worried me as well, since support is one of the most important features when it comes to shopping carts. Especially when your cart isn’t very easy to use.

3dcart is a solid choice for an eCommerce software solution. The tools are effective and packaged in a neat, easy-to-use system. You'll want to consider your bandwidth needs and the number of products you intend to offer while choosing a plan, but overall, 3dcart is a good way to go.

3dcart offers all the tools you need to sell your products online. Whether you are just starting out as a new business owner or if you are a seasoned veteran doesn’t matter, they will have something for everyone. What makes it great is the fact that the solution is easy enough for everyone to be able to use it from the get-go, and still offering more advanced options for those who wan to implement their own code. I recommend that you simply sign up for the 15-day free trial and test it out yourself.

For customers who are looking for very easy-to-use software and are happy with basic tools and functionality at reasonable prices, then 3dCart is a strong option that can be used to design a completely functional online store.
Jon Gregoire, on CPC Strategy Blog
3dcart is a decent shopping cart that many smaller retailers will enjoy using because of its ease of use. There are better solutions that exist if you’re looking for more a highly functional, robust solution and there are platforms that provide better customer service. The ecommerce platform will provide a very run-of-the-mill, conventional experience for retailers.
