Cloudswave Score for SurveyMonkey
Rating based on 154 Critic Reviews
We had been using a much more expensive survey tool for our monthly Net Promoter Score survey. We wanted to switch to something more user-friendly and less expensive. We compared several survey apps that could: a) reduce our monthly costs b) be customized to our brand and needs and c) Import the data results in an easy way. SurveyMonkey met all of our needs and we decided to go with the Gold Plan. It's very easy to use, intuitive and responsive. It has allowed us to customize the survey and the email collector to fit our business brand and saved us a a lot of money!
Pros : -Pricing -User-friendly -Great Reporting tool -Clean and easy way to see results
Cons : -Support can be a bit slow -If using the email collector, must know basic HTML to customize the look of the email to your brand

Easy-to-use tool for crowdsourcing from our community on co-creation of features and product enhancements. Yes, at times the response from our users has helped us come out with innovative features in our product.
Pros : It is very easy to use and our plan let's us customize certain aspects of the survey such as theme and colors to match our brand guidelines. The pre-built templates are also useful at times. They have a variety of question types to suit the genre of the survey.
Cons : The refresh is slow at times. The edit screen tends to hang. Other than that I am satisfied with what we are getting from this tool.
I have plenty of survey companies before. When you want to get the opinion of your employees you usually have to jump through hoops to get anything. Using surveymonkey this makes this challenge so much easier and sort of fun of the users. You can make any type of survey you need, short and to the point or long and drawn out but still simple to use. The customer service always wants to help when you need them. They are quick, supportive and extremly helpful.
Pros : Ease of use quick customer service fantastic
Cons : I cant find anything other then price, who doesnt want to save a buck or two

SurveyMonkey Use Cases and Deployment ScopeWhen we have very simple surveys -- limited skips, short, etc. -- where we don't have to go to an outside supplier's web site, we set it up on our company web site with Survey Monkey.
Pros : Cost is very reasonableVery easy to program surveys -- no high level training/learning curve requiredThe survey format is very attractive and easy for respondents to fill out
Cons : Does not work well with more complex surveys with complicated skip patternsInability to include graphics or video into surveyWe can only use it when we have email addresses for target respondents or we have to contact them via phone, letter, etc. and ask them to come to our site. This requires that we have sufficient sample to allow for non-respondents.

SurveyMonkey Use Cases and Deployment ScopeMy change management team uses SurveyMonkey for various internal surveys - both from project team members (e.g. project health check, after action review surveys, etc.) as well as end-users (e.g. training evaluation, baseline, etc.). It helps us collect valuable feedback to gauge the effectiveness of our work, and improve in the future.
Pros : Provides features I need, like page logic and a variety of question format types.Provides "Question Bank" with standard questions/answers to use.Export options.
Cons : Customization in terms of theming and branding - options are restricted for logo placement and size.Options to incorporate images/visuals within the survey questions/responses are very limited.Page Description edit box is too small.Ability to add HTML code in text editor would be nice.
