  • You can get ADP by either through your smartphone, filing a contact form online or use of email. This service has the required features and resources to handle your company’s payroll despite the size or the nature of your business. You too will benefit by taking advantage of its tax compliance and filing features to sit back as it calculates the tax you are obliged to remit. Since this ADP online payroll service has got more goods than the bad it is recommendable that you try it out and see the benefits it will bring your company.

  • No matter the size of your business, ADP online payroll services are equipped to handle your company payroll. Additionally, you'll be able to take advantage of its tax filing and compliance features, which can take away a lot of potential headaches down the road. Employers can pay their employees by check, direct deposit or pay card if they prefer. However, employers cannot print their own paychecks; ADP will do the printing for you.

  • What do you like best?

ADP provides me a platform to view, download in PDF Format of my Earning Statements, W2 Forms, Adjusted Earnings in one single screen. The security measures in place is also quite stringent yet doesn't cause any bottlenecks in seamless viewing of statements. As i understand, payment information remains available in ADP website for 3 years, that is quite a long term.

    What do you dislike?

The Registration process and password reset process is bit cumbersome, in terms of no of security protocols they follow, but in a way gives us protection towards un-authorized access. The features provided once logged in very well makes up for this.

When I worked at staffing agency that had about 100 employees and also staffed a few hundred employees, we used ADP payroll services as our main provider. Rather than handling the payroll yourself, especially if you are a small growing company it is very wise to allow a company that has a great name like ADP to take over.

ADP is pretty much for small to medium sized organizations, there are three essential services that you would use. The main program is something called ADP run that offers different payroll optins. You will have the ability to check out many different reports and even use it when you are not online. You probably will always use the feature to print the document, transfer into a different type of role, to sahre it some one, send it over to excel or store it away in another system.

For the most part, i am very impressed with using it. One of the main programs is something called ADP's eTimecard which is essentially self explanatory meaning that it can track all your employees directly entered hours for easier management of your payroll and also limits mistakes.andnbsp; Another favorite part of ADP is how well it manages your taxes. ADP will pay your payroll taxes.

    Pros :

    • Easy to use and looks nice, great for beginners.
    • Many different programs you can use.
    • You can enter hours, track time, track payroll, print checks, pay taxes, organize copies tax returns for a small fee, etc.
    • I can only speak to how ADP handles a small or a medium sized business, I can imagine it handle larger companies as well, but something with 100k employees may require a direct account executive from ADP to basically hand hold the payroll people in the organization not to get overwhelmed.

    Cons :

    • Matches up against the main competitors like Intuit, but probably not as forward thinking.
    • I have read some places that people are complaining about cluster service and working for the company is not the best thing.
    • More modern companies coming through with features that people actually want rather than need and also more payment plans are becoming much more attractive especially with tech start ups that are short on case.

ADP seems to age very poorly. It seems that it is very rarely updated and the software shows its age with the user website experience and layout. It is pretty difficult to account for variations a payroll clerk may encounter such as deductions, itemization of instances like an advance, and hourly vs salary employee time off requests and payroll. The software is in dire need of update and a support staff who knows the in’s and outs of the software to make the user experience more enjoyable.

    Pros :

    • The thing that ADP does particularly well is the fact that they train users very well.
    • The support team provides an in-depth course for users to take before submitting their first payroll through the platform, and they seem to really care that the admin is ready and comfortable to use the software without guidance.
    • The other thing they do very well is keep records organized and easy to access with the search feature, whereas services such as Paychex make specific inquiries very cumbersome.

    Cons :

    • Unfortunately, the cons far outweigh the pros in this software.
    • Support, in particular, is very annoying to deal with, and their lack of ability to notate an account where you may have a specific problem one agent is aware of, and you’d have to explain all over again to another agent is very annoying.
    • You better have a good connection when calling in and hope you’re not disconnected, because email support times are ghastly and rarely receive anything more than an automated suggested fix to an issue that may very well end up being entirely irrelevant to your situation.
    • As stated previously, the software shows its age and heaven forbid the software crash as you are entering in payroll information, because you will lose everything you have submitted before it does crash and be forced to account for it all over again.
    • This would seem like an easy fix, but support has said to me before that is important you are backing information up to an outside source to ensure it is “safe”…. That always irked me because no company wants to store sensitive payroll information in something like excel or word….

ADP is a Human Resources Information System or HRIS. It may be one of the oldest HRIS out there, and that has made it, even more, popular. In my recent experience, I would not recommend the software to any companies. I experienced extremely long delays with service request response time even on critical items. There is a community page for the ADP application, and there were many other companies with the same complaint across the board. I found ADP overall to be a confusing application. The terms used in the application are unclear and leave employees confused. The look and feel of ADP are very outdated. One of the largest issues with ADP is the failure of modules to speak with each other. For example the time and attendance module, eTime did not speak to the Payroll or HR modules. There is a long process to manually retrieve time information to bring it over to the payroll module. Other HRIS do not have manual processes to pull over vital information for payroll purposes. This can cause major issues if you depend on ADP information to flow over to each module.

The ADP application is very costly and has many add-ons to the applications. One add-on that is worth the cost is the biometric time clocks. This is a great feature that allows employees to punch using their fingerprints. I highly recommend implementing this if you have the software already. In comparison with other HRIS applications that I have used, I would not choose ADP. HR and Payroll are much too critical to depend on an application as antiquated as ADP. I wouldn’t wish the wait time for customer service upon anyone! It’s terribly long. There may be some modules that would work best for your company. I definitely recommend that you do your homework and have a technical support person assist in scouting a new application.

    Pros :

    • Some of the pros of this application are that they provide training before usage, and they also have a module available for users to access training.
    • The reporting module is also fairly easy to use compared to other Business Intelligence software out there.

    Cons :

    • Cons would include the lack of one assigned customer service agent. When you have an issue, you are subjected to long wait times even for payroll critical items.
    • Another con would be that the modules do not speak to each other. This was a major issue.
