RestKit is a modern Objective-C framework for implementing RESTful web services client applications on iOS and Mac OS X. It provides a powerful object mapping engine that seamlessly integrates with Core Data and a simple set of networking primitives for mapping HTTP requests and responses built on top of AFNetworking. It has an elegant, carefully designed set of APIs that make accessing and modeling RESTful resources feel almost magical.
Development on RestKit v0.20.0 is progressing steadily. Over the last 8 months, we have painstakingly reviewed each and every API in the library for clarity, consistency, and elegance. The improvements over the 0.10.x series are massive. We are looking forward to the final release of 0.20.0 and the forthcoming 1.0 release, which we will be discussing in greater detail in the coming weeks.
Today we are proud to announce the immediate availability of RestKit v0.20.0-rc1, which is expected to be the final preview release. No further API changes are expected prior to the final release and the focus of the development team is now shifting toward documentation and example code.
