Easy to get started with low-cost investment a small start-up business can get started for as little to nothing as long as they are willing to put in a few hours of work. Easy to view and organize interface to see a list of leads, contacts, and companies you are working with.Fairly easy to customize the module fields to input words that are specific to your industry as well as organize it in such a way to be easy to find fields. For example, I have a service based industry and custom fields can include clients, active prospects, non-active customer/prospects, vendors, and much much more. I regularly try to add more fields to sources of leads and clients because I have affiliates to link to. So very easy to customize. If you're just starting up, this is one of the best tools you can invest into, all it takes is some time and if you have some extra money to invest per month you can unlock quite a few more features.I'm in the marketing field, and I always recommend a CRM of sorts including Zoho to clients for a way to organize their customer and contact database, by doing so you can smoother operations, follow up with leads and clients, and easy access to a lot of online video tutorials. You can then grow with Zoho with many add-on services that easily integrates with the main CRM system.

Pros :

  • My biggest thing is that even on the free license plan you have access to their mobile app. That is huge for me and for small start-up businesses.
  • Customization features and modules are fairly easy to work with, but you don't have to be super technologically advanced to actually handle the customizations.
  • There are multiple apps for the multiple extensions that they have which help for when you are on the go.

Cons :

  • The only downside I would say is that not all the extensions can be accessed from the CRM system, but they do integrate with each other.

One would never need to update your address book by copying the information from email signatures. Evercontact is a service that helps keep your mail contacts (Gmail contacts, Outlook contacts, Office365 contacts and Outlook contacts) and your CRM contacts (Connectwise, Salesforce and Highrise) always updated by mining your email accounts to create and update contacts. It simply takes out the pain of manually trying to find updated contacts or digging into the mail archives to find the contact of a person who emailed you once. Evercontact works in the background and will never erase your existing contacts.

Pros : Evercontact works even retroactively. It offers a Flashback feature which can scan up to 5 year old mails and can create or update the contact list. It gives you full control on the changes made to your contact list. You can chose to manually confirm or reject the changes suggested or go for completely automated option. You can even chose to receive the updates daily, weekly or monthly. It saves a lot of time and no contact is ever lost. A chrome plugin if also on offering which can let you save contact details from any web page in the browser and directly save it to the address book. The plugin is automatically able to identify which information is of what type and then updates the correct field with the correct information in the address book.For business users, keeping all contacts intact and updated is very important especially in sales dominated organizations. Also, in case of people moving out of your organizations, lots of important contacts go away with that person. With Evercontact, one cane always keeps on scanning the emails so that no contact is ever lost.

Cons : Evercontact scans the email for contact information in the email signatures which means that all the emails are accessed by the Evernote. Although Evernote claims that only an automated computer program does all the process and the email copy is deleted after the contact information has been extracted, it is hard to trust when your life runs on your email account. There have been instances of companies claims of deleting user information have been found false.

Zoho CRM doesn’t look fancy when you use it, but it offers the same services you could pay up to 4x as much for with other software. You can track your sales, connect with your customers, and integrate your CRM account with other apps to expand it into a customized business solution. It even allows you to sync your account with Google Apps.
