  • The program uses a low-to-moderate amount of system resources and includes a user manual with tutorials. It did not freeze or crash during our tests. However, some functions do not work properly (e.g. images are not properly displayed when you are capturing a button) and output files have watermarks. Otherwise, we strongly recommend HyperSnap-DX to all users.

  • When basic screen capture tools won't cut it, HyperSnap-DX is ready to serve. Freeware with similar capabilities is available, so be sure to shop around. But HyperSnap-DX has a lot going for it.

  • HyperSnap is an extremely versatile screen capture tool that includes an array of essential features. It's impressive, versatile and easy-to-use.

HyperSnap is a very simple software that was developed by Hyperionics to perform image captures from your Windows screen in the exact moment. The software is available for all versions of Windows and can be downloaded from the website.

    Pros :

    • The strength of Hypersnap is to allow the user to easily create screenshots in manera quick and immediate.
    • The convenience of using Hypersnap is to use a single application to make over the capture of your screen even at the same time to make detailed changes to the captured images
    • It's very easy to use, can be used to include in the tutorial images, create training material, in explicative guides, computer tutorials, create user manuals, etc. ..
    • It can also be used to share the display system errors or messages on the screen at a given time by the programs etc.
    • It is, therefore, a very simple software but easy to use as the basis users who do not have much experience with computers.
    • You can also create and assign shortcuts directly from your keyboard to speed up the use of the software.
    • By HyperSnap is not mandatory to capture the entire screen, but you can make a Region Capture (can register rounded, rectangular and elliptical), a Pan Last Region (this allows you to make another snap based on the size of the previous snap without having well set back the size), a Windows screen (with this feature we can perform Snap a single Window, Active Window and finally a classic FullScreen capture.
    • We can also change various settings to our liking some of these very useful as the shape of the snap, size, whether to include or exclude the slider to set a delay before the capture, set a background color for snap and the level of opacity, etc..
    • Very comfortable also made the list of snap on the left of the workspace.

    Cons :

    • The user interface is a bit too old style, is similar to Microsoft Paint, even the skilled graphic changes to your Snap are quite limited in terms of graphics.andnbsp; andnbsp;

Despite the fact that exists a dozen of screen capture tools available, Hypersnap remains one of the best solutions for the pros. Who do I mean under "the pros"? First of all the people who need to make thousands and thousands screen captures. They are the computer book authors, the manual writers, the software writers etc. Unlike many other screen capture tools, Hypersnap does its job very quickly and without superfluous questions. The user needs to configure it only once; then the software silently sits in the tray, makes captures and saves them to the predefined place. Hypersnap may automatically save the files in one of the popular formats giving the names like "snap 001", "snap002" etc. There are a lot of options available. For example, there are a lot of hotkeys to capture active window, whole screen, just one button or menu bar, selected area. My favorites hotkey is CTRL+SHIFT+M, which stands for Multi Region Capture. With this keys, you can capture several independent areas of the desktop. Every new area is just added to the previous ones. One of the options that may be very useful when you make screen captures for the book that is to be printed is "Turn off font smoothing for capture". The program makes it automatically, so if the editor demands to turn off the font smoothing you may rely on Hypersnap. It also can help if you need to capture some window or the interface element that quickly fades away from the screen. Just pick up the delay time before the capture and you got it!

    Pros :

    • Can save images to PDF files.
    • 64-bit version is available.
    • Unique TextSnap feature that helps to capture the editable text from almost anywhere on the screen.

    Cons :

    • No automatic download to the web server.
    • You can't record videos with it.
    • No free version.
