Although I don’t think Line2 is a good solution for a business line with multiple devices, it might be good for someone looking to have a second phone number and only use the service on one device. Just beware of the customer service and go into it realizing that if you have an issue it might not get resolved.

Line2 offers techical support with "real people" who can help you on the phone--its included. That's a big plus. That is one more reason I recommend this product. If you are looking for a great way to add another line, definitely check this one. They offer a free trial, so you don't have anything to loose by giving it a try.

Are there cheaper ways to make calls with your iPad? Definitely. But I think Line2 is a solid option for businesses that want to appear--and sound--professional. And its rates are certainly lower than traditional landline solutions.

I’ve been using Line2 for almost a year now as my main business line, and it’s been wonderful. It’s so nice to know that I can carry around my iPhone and conduct business over the phone, yet it’s a separate number from my personal line and my conversations aren’t using up any minutes. I also appreciate having business texts and voicemail in its own app as well as the emailed voicemails.

Line2 offers plenty of business-related features. Line2 offers a very flexible VoIP solution for business iPhones, including the ability to have a second number on your phone.
We'd advise business customers choose the simpler Line2 for its elegance, even though it costs more.

Toktumi Line2 is a polished, well-delivered service for small businesses and consumers. It allows the iPhone to double as a second phone by giving it a unique number and enables the iPod touch/iPad to function as a VoIP phone. The service is $14.95/month for unlimited U.S./Canada calling and low-cost international; this is a fair price, though this service is more practical for iPhone users simply because they can access it anywhere; iPad/iPod touch users must have a Wi-Fi connection.
I have no reservations recommending this service to iPhone users looking to integrate their business and personal lives on one device.

For business users, Line2 adds a lot of value to mobile VoIP, especially the full-featured and easy-to-configure PBX. It might be overkill for personal users however, who are unlikely to use half the features. It seems ideally suited to a de-centralized, online enterprise that is spread all over with dozens of staff and several departments.
