  • Real-time solution for cross functional presentations.

Adobe Connect Use Cases and Deployment ScopePresently Adobe Connect is used both to support cross functional marketing efforts and as a training tool.  It is not an enterprise based solutions at the present time.

Pros : Sharing applications, presentation and desktops in hi res.Surveying the audience for real-time feedback.Switching between presenters and sharing the admin role.

Cons : The VOIP function does not have the quality provided by an audio conference bridge.Local bandwidth issues make connections difficult or result in lost connections. Connect uses a lot of bandwidth.Sometime the recorded events are not readily available for replay.

Memories of Adobe Connect v8 for realtime and self-paced learning.

Adobe Connect Use Cases and Deployment ScopeConnect was used to provide just-in-time training to global employees in three topic areas - technical support, sales support and international sales support.  Connect Meeting was used to webcast SME presentations which were recorded for later viewing and connecting to Adobe Events with short quiz/evaluation objects.  Connect Training was also used for asynchronous lessons on product features and support.

Pros : At that time, Connect was the most accessible webcasting tool available due to the ubiquity of Adobe Flash. All other webcasting tools were very difficult for participants. The ability for web hosts to customize the screen layout.Meeting rooms persist and can be prepared in advanced and reused for webcasting a series of events.

Cons : I am concerned but also unaware of the future of Connect with regards to web browsers banning Adobe Flash.Connect Training in version 8 would have been better if there were a way to identify employee/supervisor relationships so that supervisors could monitor employee learning.Connect Training in version 8 could have used a better training summary for users to understand what training they needed to complete.

Adobe Connect is great for education

Adobe Connect Use Cases and Deployment ScopeOur organization uses Adobe Connect for two main purposes: delivering interactive educational webinarshosting meetings (internal and external to the organization)We find that the Adobe Connect platform is particularly stable for delivering video content so we use it over other platforms in meetings where multiple webcams (i.e. multiple presenters or having presenters and participants have webcams) and streaming video clips are needed. For our educators, Adobe Connect allows multiple layouts so we can switch from one screen layout with certain information to another screen layout with entirely different information flawlessly. We also utilize the Presenter Only area to allow a private chat between presenters and hosts to communicate event management issues (i.e. time keeping) and any other updates while the course is progressing that are invisible to participants. We have also utilized the breakout room feature that allows educators to break the group into smaller facilitated groups and then report back to the main room - just like what is done in an in-person workshop or course.

Pros : Adobe Connect handles streaming multiple videos (e.g. many different webcams or streaming a pre-recorded video) quite well with minimal issues.Adobe Connect allows for creation and switching between multiple screen layouts so that you can plan a course flow ahead of time and implement it flawlessly for participants. There is another key feature called Prepare Mode which allows the host to modify or prepare a different screen layout while everyone else remains in the last layout.Adobe Connect all

Cons : The steps to connect to the Adobe Connect meeting room are clunky. There are many things that - if not completed ahead of time - cause problems for users who click on the meeting room link thinking they can just login and go in (like other platforms). The login and connection experience seems to be different on different operating systems and web browsers.Troubleshooting is incredibly challenging for issues such as having trouble connecting, not hearing what is presented, not seeing content, mic

  • Adobe Connect boasts some of the most advanced customization and collaborative tools in the industry, earning them a reputation as one of the top web conferencing choices for small businesses and enterprises alike. The high price tag may be too much for those on a budget, however.

  • Connect is backed by software industry giant Adobe, and has a proven track record of stability and feature rich functionality. If you are looking for web conferencing software that does it all and then has some nice additions like mobile support (and you don’t mind paying for a quality product), then Adobe Connect is your safe bet.

  • What do you like best?

Adobe Connect is a web conferencing platform for web meetings, eLearning, and webinars. I've used it in my previous job and it was fairly easy to use. It had a nice interface and worked well with other adobe products. You can record your meetings and set your admin capabilities ( i.e Host/Presenter)

    What do you dislike?

I've had technical issues where I had to download numerous times a plugin.

    What do you like best?

Easy to use and totally compliant with Adobe presentations. SUPER easy to use.

    What do you dislike?

No dislikes. I have only used it a few times with webinars and internal content and loved it. Found it very easy to use - no set up like other webinar programs and the sessions I had were free.

    What do you like best?

Easy to use, plenty of admin capabilities, ability to record sessions, and simple login process without the slow downloading challenges that some platforms have.

    What do you dislike?

Nothing to dislike. You just have to get familiar with different layouts and functions that you may already be comfortable with.

  • Adobe Connect is a strong contender in the web conferencing category. The service has most of the features you need, but it misses the mark in some important categories.

  • Adobe Connect is the most capable, customizable web conferencing option available. While slightly more expensive than WebEx and GoToMeeting, Connect's $10/month premium is compensated for many times over in scalability.

  • Adobe Connect 8 is easier to use, offers better collaboration, richer audio and video experiences, improved access and extensibility, and increased security and support.

  • Adobe has set the web conferencing standard with Connect Pro, building on the strengths of its other multimedia software to provide a web conferencing suite that can be accessed and used by virtually anyone with an internet-connected computer. Adobe delivers a program that is seamless from beginning to end and is reinforced by expansive resources, help and support materials and portals.

Connect 9.2 offers every feature you can imagine for effective web-based seminars, and the new version of its webinar service makes the job easier than ever. Nevertheless, using this tool is cumbersome if you're unfamiliar with webinar services or computers in general. Despite its challenges, Adobe Connect is a top-tier webinar service. It has more options for users and hosts than almost any other product we tested, and its sleek feel makes it a truly professional option for your business or school. We highly recommend this service, especially if you need to present webinars of several different types.
