  • Box is great for company file sharing

I started using Box when my company used it. We shared files internally and with external stakeholders it was great to know your files were safe. The editing in app function didn't work so well, due to perhaps my company's hardware or operating system, but regardless, few in our org were able to edit within the app. We got around this by editing in Word and then re uploading. The collaborating was great because we could control who had the file open and who could see it. For individuals, Dropbox is probably fine. For larger orgs, Box is great.

Pros : Intuitive interface for basic functions like uploading Access it anywhere Useful mobile app

Cons : Hard to access and navigate folders Non intuitive search function Hard to get the editing within the app function working

    Great service, great app.

Box is a great cloud storage system. It works well with automation of tasks and works unnoticed in the background until I need to use it. Then it's there, easy to access and fast.

Pros : Solid platform, it's been around a long time and is easy to use.

    Cloud storage done better

I enjoy using box to share files. It is incredibly user friendly and a great value for the price. It includes apps for all devices and the sync works well on my mac. Most other business services I use integrate with Box.

Pros : -easy to use interface -strong security -file sharing product_urls -permissions at file and folder level -versatile API

Cons : -UX problems in spots -preview is slow -sync can be slower than other cloud based storage options

  • Overall, it’s not the cheapest file sharing program out there, but it offers a lot for the money. While it’s pricier than others, it offers a lot of storage, unlimited machines and a high rating to prove that it’s worth the money. But take this with a grain of salt: Box is still a solution for business and enterprises. I wouldn’t recommend it for small business owners or freelancers.

  • Box features impressive file-sharing capabilities that are easy to use, even if you are new to the service. Box allows you to set folder permissions, giving you complete control over what other users can do with your shared files. Though Box’s storage plans aren’t as competitive as others, this cloud storage provider’s file-sharing capabilities make this web service worth your consideration.

  • With better pricing and a range of enhancements, Box.com has become more versatile. A great service that scales up well from individuals to large teams.

If you’re looking for a cloud-storage service that can double up as a workflow platform for small teams, then Box is the one to beat.

  • What do you like best?

Simplicity, templates, and tracking. It is simple to quickly build a quality proposal by selecting pre-loaded blocks of content. We have several templates that allow us to customize proposals depending on the needs of the prospect and can include a mix of mediums; text, video, graphics, etc. And finally, we can track when and how our prospects interact with the content we include. This insight allows us to time and deliver meaningful follow up that drives business through the pipeline.

    What do you dislike?

WYSIWYG editor. I've had issues with how the editor loads on my screen and it's not as intuitive as Word for processing page breaks, indentations, and other basic editing functionality.

    What do you like best?

The thing I like best about Tinderbox is the ability to deliver fantastic looking quotes FAST and EASY. Not only that, but the quotes can be easily customized on a per-customer basis, and offer enough flexibility to build & organize them how you like, from a design and structured standpoint.

    What do you dislike?

I wish the Access Code field could be disabled entirely. Some of my clients get hung up about that part, and accidentally click "Approve" for the quote when they want to view it from a mobile device. That caused confusion on my end when I thought the order was confirmed, and the customer said that they just wanted to view it online.

    What do you like best?

The ability to deliver our customers and prospects branded, professional looking proposals with minimal technical and design effort on our end makes this a no brainer product for our use case (mainly 5 figure multi option industrial equipment proposals)

    What do you dislike?

The library. While having a library of content is a huge time saver, making small tweaks to a piece of content during editing doesnt allow for the new version to be saved to the library. You have to resave and delete the last iteration. The whole library setup and process could be more seamless.

  • The Box service will undoubtedly satisfy some users, but due to a few major flaws such as constricting file size limits and slow upload speeds I cannot recommend it when there are superior options available within the same price range. If you are someone looking to store small sized files and don't mind dealing with slow upload speeds then sign up and give it a try, you have nothing to lose. If you are looking to store files that are larger than 1GB then you should steer clear and look for a better alternative.
