  • Sprout Social has several handy features; however, the software stays out of the way and allows a business to engage itself with people and build relationships effectively. By using Sprout Social, a business can benefit from solutions for social media marketing, social media management, social customer service, and social media analytics. The tools provided by Sprout Social help businesses in managing their social media and social care efforts in an effective and efficient way.

    Love my Sprout!

I was an early beta tester so I've enjoyed watching it evolve. Sprout is a very powerful yet simple social tool for publishing and customer service. They were one of the first to offer geo-targeting in Twitter. Pricing has gone up in the past year but is still well under the price of other tools that are less powerful. Great for small teams or single users.

Pros : Simple interface Powerful features. Workflow, users, tasks

Cons : Might be a little light for larger teams in terms of user management or workflow.

Improves social management and publication productivity.

I had the pleasure of using Sprout Social at my previous job, spent the better amount of a 18 months using Sprout on a daily basis. This is one great app. Seriously, the things it does is perfect for someone managing a Facebook or Twitter community and having to schedule posts and analyze their performance.

Pros : What made me choose to sign up was the reporting functionality, simply beautiful and powerful. It gave me exactly the information I needed and let me export nice looking PDFs or CSVs. Besides that, the Sprout Queue feature was awesome. It would automatically pull from a "bucket" of approved posts and publish automatically at pre established times/dates. Very cool. The customer service team is also amazing. Really helpful.

Cons : Obviously, nothing is perfect. It would be great if they had YouTube posting/analytics functionality. The icing on the cake would be to add Instagram analysis in there as well.

  • What do you like best?

The incredibly clean UI makes this tool a breeze to use for daily social media monitoring. Up to 50 different channels can be added to the platform, making it very easy for a community manager to respond quickly for multiple brands. Teams also have the ability to "assign tasks" to others, so directing users to appropriate personnel is a breeze. The tool also provides a quick aggregated snapshot of your audience demographics, which is helpful.

    What do you dislike?

A few other reviewers mentioned that this tool good for social listening or larger conversation monitoring, but I disagree. This tool does not allow for heavy listening like Crimson or Radian, but it is not meant to be. The only real drawback I have with Sprout is that it does not integrate enough social platforms (for example, Instagram and YouTube), but hopefully these are added in the future.

    What do you like best?

Sprout puts all the latest social CRM tech in your hands for a very reasonable price. As marketers, we all know how incredibly important it is to listen to our customers, be able to maintain a relationship with them and deliver great content in their feeds. Sprout helps you accomplish all three with discovery (outreach), publishing (content), reporting (measuring) and brand monitoring.

    What do you dislike?

There isn't much that I dislike about Sprout. The only complaint I have is this: I work in Birmingham, Alabama and quite often I'll have conversations pop up from our friends that live in Birmingham across the Atlantic ocean. It's an annoyance, but nothing more.

    What do you like best?

If you're used to looking at web analytics a lot, I think that you'll see right away that Sprout Social offers something pretty unusual. As a dashboard for viewing social activity, assigning tasks, and reviewing analytics, the whole thing flows together nicely and creates a really easy-to-interpret, skimable snapshot of your brand's online activity. I also love that it integrates with Google Analytics--nothing wrong with making that data more readable.

    What do you dislike?

There are a lot of tools (Hootsuite is one) that does very similar stuff for the very reasonable price of free. With a base price of $39/month, Sprout Social is still very reasonable, but you might be able to do what you need to do with something that costs nothing at all.

  • Although SproutSocial comes with a great deal of fine tools for managing various social profiles, it seems to be lacking support for those outside of Twitter. The reporting aspects are a nice touch that some of the similar applications don't integrate without a subscription fee, but the cost of using the service is incredibly high compared to apps that offer the same thing. Since you do get a free 30-day free trial period, you lose nothing by investigating the app yourself.

  • In all, Sprout Social offers a robust set of social media management and CRM tools that are really ideal for groups of employees, corporations, agencies or simply a busy, on-the-go businessperson. If you are after a professional solution, this is the one for you.

  • Sprout Social combines a beautiful user interface with power social media and reporting tools for one of the best social media management tools out there. Their pricing is extremely affordable for both small and large operations.

  • The intuitive use of Sprout Social sets it apart from the competition. It's a simple, effective way to manage your social media efforts. However, every product is never without its short-comings. Google integration and publishing is NOT available on Sprout Social. So, posting to Google+ takes additional effort on the marketer's part to increase their social media gamut.
Sprout Social is not a be-all, end-all social media management system, but it is meant to conduct a good percentage of your efforts. With the reporting, messages, and publishing efforts of the platform, it's a great tool for social media ROI and engagement.

  • The fact is that if you're a business that people know about, or if you want to be that type of business, then you need to read between the social networking lines. That's where everyone talks now. That's where people share their opinions. You need to be able to gauge the buzz, and engage to create the buzz. Sprout Social in my opinion is the best tool available on the internet to do exactly that.

  • Sprout Social should be considered for enterprise-level companies who create and monitor a high-volume of social media - particularly in teams of 3 or more who focus primarily on Twitter. The integration of many different tools - content curation/scheduling, listening/monitoring and limiting - eliminate the need for multiple, disparate tools in favor of a turn-key solution. What it lacks in functionality, it makes up for in usability
