I've been using this software for various SEO related tasks such as keyword research, SEO assessment, link building, SERP tracking (before it was discontinued) and other functions but mostly reporting. The interface used to be slow but it improved. It was very helpful in the beginning in creating really impressive reports and earning me leads with its page assessment. Occasionally I would find bugs but customer support would help. It's a very chaotic industry and providing help is important esp. for a low price compared to competitors.
Pros : Relatively cheap Fully featured Recent redesign/userfriendly
Cons : Bugs in reporting numbers SEO assessment needs update Facebook ads reporting Overall it needs to redefine itself, possibly rejecting features and focusing on what they do best
I have been using Raven now for around half a year. It is very comfortable to use and if you add the Raven-Toolbar to your browser you can add links that you discover in one click. This makes it easy to keep track of external links. What is extremely good about Raven is its reporting function. Every little detail is customizable and you can send automated reports on a regular basis to yourself or other team members or the client. Sometimes I have my doubts about the link researching tool. I think it doesn´?¢t capture always all the links. However, compared to other tools Raven still does a very good job here.
Pros : Reporting function Raven has a function where you can see the organic competitors of a given product_url. That´?¢s extraordinarily useful when you search for guest post prospects. New CRM function
Cons : Improvements in finding external links are possible Social Media functions are quite basic but Raven is a SEO tool and that´?¢s its strength

I haven’t quite decide whether Raven is really a site-specific browser or simply a better way to build a browser. Whatever it is, it’s a great and truly unique attempt to rethink the way we use the web. Raven is free, cool, attractive, useful; what are you waiting for? Go check it out and you just might turn to your old way of using web apps nevermore.

At this juncture, it seems Raven Tools is mostly suitable for SEO. It is a well-designed and easy-to-use product, so I can certainly recommend it for usability. But if you’re mostly looking to manage PPC, email, or social media, it probably isn’t worth the monthly fee. Anyone can try Raven free for 30 days. I recommend you do so to give it a test try. It will also give you a lot of insight into your keywords, traffic, and ideas to expand your efforts. Even if you don’t end up paying for the service, that information is a valuable resource.
Raven Tools is ideal for users who need to find an effective way to monitor their online marketing efforts. The application covers SEO and social media as well as general online advertising. Users who also have Google AdWords accounts can really appreciate the integration features.
I’ve been using Raven tools (aff) for about 6 months now and it’s fair to say that I love it. It’s probably best known for it’s link manager, and that’s understandable – I think for agencies or in-house SEO’s, it’s an incredibly useful way of storing site owner contacts and potential link targets. In truth, if you’re an SEO company that builds links, or if you manage a team of link builders, and you still use Excel spreadsheets to record all of the details – I’d suggest giving Raven a go, it’ll save you time. And if you are using Excel spreadsheets, Raven lets you easily import all of that data.

When we saw how good Raven SEO was at handling such a wide variety of tasks, we immediately had once concern: it was going to be too expensive. We were pleasantly surprised and happy to be proven wrong. Best of all, one does not have to jump up to different package levels, but they can add features a la carte if they so desire. A slick interface, more features than most people could ever use, and pricing made to please has us at a loss for finding points to complain about when it comes to Raven SEO.

For specialists, the Raven Tools dashboard might not provide the depth you need to dig deep into your analytics or manage several social media accounts, but it's great for do-it-yourself webmasters who need to keep tabs on several moving parts.
