  • My Social Media Tool

    I've been using it since they actually launched the app. I've had a pro account for 6 months. I strongly recommend it for managing +5 social media accounts.

    Pros : - Scheduling posts - Variety of Social Media included - Search feature

    Cons : - invoicing system usually charges you extra fees if you're not aware of invoicing cycles (but they solve it via support) - instagram feature was a hype launch but it's not as great as I expected - collaboration feature

    Works sometimes

    I have been using HootSuite for about 2 months. I have several teams and multiple social media profiles, but have found it to not be very intuitive and it just gets stuck and doesn't work sometimes.

    Pros : Integrates with everything

    Cons : Sluggish, hangs up, and is not user-friendly

    All the social media channels in one!

    I used Hootsuite to both my previous position. When my supervisor introduced me to Hootsuite, it took me only a bit to understand the software and its features. It is really simple and extremely user friendly. The design of the interface is not really the best but in the end of the day is the functionality that matters most. You can integrate all your different account from Twitter or Facebook and with the dashboard keep track of everything. I also find a very useful tool the column with the messages screen as you can keep track of your messages and reply directly. Last but not least, Hootsuite offers really useful webinars about social media strategies and on how to make your page interactive with users.

    Pros : The dashboard with its simplicity

  • Enterprising!

    Hootsuite Enterprise Use Cases and Deployment ScopeIt's being used by the corporate social media team along with the social media admins from our regional hospitals and service lines.

    Hootsuite enterprise for the everyday company

    Hootsuite Enterprise ProsAllowing others to manage Hootsuite with additional users. We have found that to be very useful allowing others to use it at the same time. We can assigned certain project to other strategist as well as post comments for them to read.The analytics are great, because you get to look at the links and where people are coming from. Offering you a greater insight into how your campaign is running while also providing you with the right information to provide to your clients to show them the results of your campaign.Being able to monitor what people are saying about you on the same screen as your post and news feed makes up for time management.

    "Hootsuite Enterprise Review: Spectrum Health"

    Hootsuite Enterprise Use Cases and Deployment ScopeAt Spectrum Health, we are currently using Hootsuite Enterprise within the System Communications and Marketing department. It is primarily used by the Social Media team; however, the Social Media team is in charge of managing others within the department who are using the tool. This addresses security, consistency, and ease of use.

    Pros : Customer Service: Hootsuite Enterprise customer support goes above and beyond. When we are interested in updates, have questions, or want to customize the tool, the team at Hootsuite is always fast and accommodating.Updates: Hootsuite Enterprise is consistently listening to its customers and clients and updating the tool. These updates are timely and trustworthy.Ease of Use: The Hootsuite Enterprise tool is 100% user friendly. It works with your business to do what works best for your needs.

    Cons : The Hootsuite mobile app would be much easier to use if the interface included a stream for favorites, new followers, and retweets.In order to allow for better cross-department planning, a draft feature that is open as public (public to team members) would be a great addition.

  • Many smaller businesses may find that Hootsuite offers more features than they need. Businesses that are interested interested in using the features will likely need to commit hours to the learn them.

    Still, just because Hootsuite provides many bells and whistles does not mean users have to use all of them. The platform performs well using only the basic functions.

  • 7 days a week of Seamless Twitter Post Scheduling

    What do you like best?

    I love that I can schedule endless tweets, Facebook posts, Google+ posts, and LinkedIn posts with just a few clicks. It makes it a lot easier for me to remain active on social media while I work on other (usually more important) things. I recently started using the auto schedule button for Hootsuite to decide the times that my posts will be seen by my followers. It seems to be working out quite well!

    What do you dislike?

    I wish there was a better way to track twitter parties. While you can track a hashtag in a separate stream it's a little difficult to respond quickly through the Hootsuite dashboard. And speed of reply is something that is essential for a Twitter party.

    Recommendations to others considering the product

    I would suggest trying out Hootsuite competitors with a trial, and compare what you get. Don't just listen to the which tool the popular marketers use. (They're usually given free accounts, and are basically walking and paid advertisements for these businesses.) Go with what you feel most benefits your business. For us Hootsuite does everything we need and more. It took a little while to get used to the dashboard, but functionally it is an essential part of our day-to-day social media marketing.

    What business problems are you solving? What benefits have you realized?

    I am trying to build the social media interactions of our social media monitoring business. I rely on Hootsuite to share out our recent content, and use it to track interactions with the posts that we make. I have been able to save quite a bit of time by scheduling tweets in advance, allowing people to stay aware of what our company does, without someone sitting by a computer manually tweeting every 30 min - 1 hr.

    Hootsuite - Automated Social Media Manager

    What do you like best?

    This software is absolutely awesome in its' ability to automate social media posts across multiple avenues (facebook, twitter, linkedin, etc). You can schedule a "campaign" or post for a certain time and date based on when you find the best times are to post for your particular needs, and never have to worry about forgetting to post it or having anything go wrong.

    What do you dislike?

    I am not fond of the fact that updating via Hootsuite does not allow the post to be different across the various platforms you are using. Having a twitter, linkedin, and facebook account all saying the same post constantly can come across as rather "sales-ish" and spam-like.

    I also do not like that without a pro account, you are rather limited (to I believe 3) platforms to update simultaneously.

    Recommendations to others considering the product

    Go for it! If you need more than 3 platforms to be updated simultaneously, you'll have to go "pro", but it might be worth it in the sense that a smaller to mid-size company could save having to retain a social media manager to post content constantly.

    This automation software removed the need to have someone actually log in to post a status change or update to profiles at hours that are largely inconvenient, and allowed them to be scheduled in advance so no one had to worry about them past the initial setup for the particular campaign.

  • HootSuite is an attractive, easy-to-use, and powerful social media manager. Its full suite of tools will likely prove too much for casual Facebook or Twitter users, but social media pros will appreciate all that it has to offer.

  • The free features of HootSuite allow users to create numerous social network streams and view them in a clean, friendly interface, dispatching messages to multiple networks simultaneously. But to get at much of the site's sophisticated reporting power, you'll have to open your wallet.
