  • Buffer saves time when you need it

For those who need to schedule their social media posts and are looking for a simple to use tool, Buffer is great. Don't expect any frills, just basic capabilities.

Pros : Very easy to use. Easy to sign in with your Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+ pages and instantly post updates to your social media platforms. Like the ability to schedule posts in advance so you can set yourself up for the day/week.

Cons : Analytics in the free version are a nice add-in but are very generic and are no more helpful than the built-in analytics in each social media platform. A way to preview .Gifs and videos would be nice to have before committing to post.

The antithesis of HootSuite - it's best quality!

I love using Buffer, both for personal use and for social media posts for our company. I had used Hootsuite in the past, and though it was handy to use, the interface was just. too. cluttered. Buffer was the answer to that problem, and I continue to love using it.

Pros : Simple interface, easy to post, easy to pair accounts. Most of all, the pictures you attach to tweets actually show up in the tweet, unlike Hootsuite. It's an all around great tool.

Cons : I wish Buffer offered support for Gifs that are attached to tweets -- I'm not able to schedule out tweets that contain animated GIFs for that reason. Small potatoes, but still would be nice to be able to do. Also, it would be cool for free users to attach more than one Twitter account, but I'll chalk that one up to wishful thinking :)

  • Buffer Use Cases and Deployment ScopeWe use Buffer across multiple departments. It allows us to EASILY schedule, monitor and measure our social media efforts in one place. We needed something that was both intuitive and cost-effective (they offer a very generous non-profit discount), and Buffer is working nicely for us. UPDATE: Still use and LOVE Buffer. But have re-subscribed to Sprout Social (just myself, not the entire team) for their Social Media "Inbox." Just can't live without it. Total cost is just $109 per month (Nonprofit rate for Buffer Team, plus one Sprout account for myself.) Bottom line: Get both!

Pros : Clean, intuitive interface.AWESOME mobile app for iPhone and Android!Customer service that's too good to be true, but is.Generous non-profit pricing.Ability to queue posts across multiple platforms at different times.

Cons : Would love to see a Unified Social media inbox, similar to Sprout Social (all comments, @replies, etc. in one newsfeed with the ability to reply back from the feed)Wish I could respond to Facebook comments via the mobile app.Wish canceling a queued message on one platform would cancel them all (versus having to go back and delete them individually).Wish the system suggested ideal posting times.

    Buffer Up

Buffer Use Cases and Deployment ScopeWe use Buffer not just for our personal accounts to schedule updates and blog posts but we also encourage and train clients on the use of Buffer to schedule their companies news, blog posts, events, or even company pictures. Working for an extremely busy agency or company doesn't allow for regular updates across different channels and pages. Buffer solves the problem by not only allowing us to post across multiple channels but also schedule it for the times WE want content to go live to maximize exposure. Additionally, the feature of adding suggested content is brilliant as it helps break up the monotony of simply posting *business* updates. And frankly, there are some great posts in the suggestion queue that I post because I want to read it later. Finally, it's free. My personal account has been a tremendous help in connecting with different people due to the content and times it is posted and if I want to use it as a team, well then we use the very affordable AWESOME upgrade.  It's a tool that allows cross promotion on multiple levels, time zones, content and is easy to navigate. What more could an agency, a client and a team want.

Pros : Scheduling: In social media it is critical to post regular updates but not become that annoying person or business that posts the days or even weeks updates back to back and appears spammy. Buffer allows users to pre-set times and dates in advance or on the spot for posts that are being placed in the feeder. For example: I have a new company blog I want to share. I open buffer queue and enter my status update. Then I can chose where I want to post it (FB, Twitter, G+ page, LI) and next I can pic

Cons : I personally wish they would integrate Tumblr and Google profiles. I understand there are limitations but I have hope they will overcome whatever is holding them back.Facebook suggestions is another hope I have. Currently they only offer content suggestions that can be posted for Twitter and LinkedIn.

Great for Scheduling and Managing Social Media Posts

Buffer Use Cases and Deployment ScopeWe use Buffer to schedule and manage posts across multiple social media platforms, and it's great for that; it also offers suggested content for posts.  The product copy has a lighthearted feel for a solid business tool, which is in the spirit of the technology and makes the product more engaging to use.  It offers very basic analytics on a post and platform basis, but it's not really designed for heavy-duty analytics - rather, it's a great addition to a suite of social media management tools. It's also highly intuitive and has a simple learning curve.  I would recommend it to others.

Pros : Schedule social media posts across platformsContent development suggestionsSocial media team collaboration

Cons : In-depth analyticsDetermining best posting timesAdditional platform support

  • Though I would like to see some more features in future like adding tweets from a feed, this will be really helpful for bloggers who post lots of posts in a day. This way they can tweet within limit in particular time set. Overall, I liked the idea of Bufferapp and I have been using it for last one month.

  • For anyone jumping into social media, I would highly recommend taking a look into Buffer before pursuing some of the other tools out there. I think starting with simplicity before jumping into the feature rich tools is a good start and you may realize that you really don’t require all the bells and whistles. For me, Buffer is a staple in my day-to-day use of the web and I look forward to seeing where they grow from here.

  • Buffer is an exceptionally easy app to use for keeping your status updates fresh and fluid. Although there are alternative solutions for social media management available on the Internet, this app does a terrific job for the available channels. With the inclusion of building a team environment, this app could greatly benefit any organization that needs a quick and easy method of adding momentum to social status updates.

  • If you’re a newbie, have small blog and don’t want to invest money now, Buffer App is available for free which will let you to connect up to 4 social media accounts and schedule up to 10 posts.
But, if you’re a successful blogger, internet marketer or company and want to boost your social media popularity and engagement then it is highly recommended to go for Awesome (Paid) plan which lets you to connect up to 12 social media accounts, add colleagues and set unlimited posts and tweets to your buffer account.

  • Buffer is a neatly organized service that makes it easy to keep multiple social media accounts up to date. I'm not convinced that it knows better than you about when you should post your content, but I'm willing to consider the possibility.

    Pros:

    Easy to use.
Free level is enough for personal accounts.

    Cons:

Can't tell when tweets are time-sensitive.

  • Efficient and Effective Social Media Management

    What do you like best?

I like that I can post on social media (Twitter, Facebook and Linked in my case) and track analytics from a central location. Additionally, it's very convenient to be able to queue up content. I find it more efficient to batch create social media posts rather than having to manage this during the day. Both the web and iOS interfaces are clean and simple.

    What do you dislike?

The lack of a unified view means that I have to click on individual services/accounts in order to see all upcoming posts and analytics. It would be nice if I had the option to see all of this in one place. Additionally, sometimes the analytics data that Buffer presents isn't accurate/up-to-date.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Buffer is a great choice if you want to centralize and automate your social media, but aren't willing to invest in the time and cost it takes for more in-depth social media management services.

What business problems are you solving? What benefits have you realized?

Being able to queue up content saves me time and helps me be strategic when communicating with people in my social media networks.

Great tool and easy to use.

    What do you like best?

Buffer is one of my favorite tools to use when managing a company's social media. I've consistently used the tool for various companies for the past several years. One of my favorite things about Buffer, other than being able to easily schedule tweets, is the ability to use the add-on feature through Google Chrome. If I find an article that I would like to post, I can click the add-on Buffer button in the top right-hand corner and add the page to my queue. I usually have several tabs open with potential articles, so this feature makes it easy to organize any articles I come by.

    What do you dislike?

If I had to say one thing that I dislike about Buffer, it would be that you can only add one picture to your Twitter updates.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Buffer has recently come out with a new tool called Pablo. They've made it easy and simple to find, create, and use images for social media. I would highly recommend using Pablo for your social media images!

What business problems are you solving? What benefits have you realized?

Buffer has worked very well for me and my colleagues. I've introduced Buffer to a few companies and they've had no problem learning how to use the social media tool. It's also nice to be able to see what everyone has added to the queue.

Best low cost social media manager

    What do you like best?

I love the queue ability to buffer from practically any web page and have it go into your predefined queue. The ability to drag and drop queue instances also makes it great for switching up your content types when necessary. Now that buffer has introduced "Pablo" the ability to make pictures containing information or quotes has become even easier! Being able to set up predefined posting schedules makes buffer a huge time saver when it comes to regular posting.

    What do you dislike?

No bulk upload feature and no way to see things like mentions and new followers. More integrations with other social media platforms would be good.

Recommendations to others considering the product

take full advantage of the system for maximum bang. make sure you have the chrome extension and the mobile apps, you never know where you might be when you stumble across that piece of genius you want to share!

What business problems are you solving? What benefits have you realized?

I was using HootSuite to manage my social media efforts, but I found buffers interface more user-friendly and the suggestions tab is awesome when you are having writers block for your content. It also allows you to post to groups on Facebook where as many other platforms do not.
