I connected to the world of internet when things were not much so advanced, and not everyone could have access to basic internet security. I remember Facebook coming in a year or two after I connected to Hotmail. I haven't been that kind of a person who had many emails, it was just one for nearly 7-8 years (started way back in '03) so having different passwords everywhere was not such a hefty thing. I heard news again and again about how so and so the server has been hacked so change your password, I was there like, meh it doesn't matter. It turns out, it is truly important to not repeat any password for any email account. My ID got hacked somehow and my heartbeat raised as I swarmed across the internet changing my password from each and every account. I have a different one for Facebook, one in outlook, one in Gmail, one in Apple cloud and so on, even a completely different one in here on cloudswave, It was then that I maintained a proper diary for all my passwords, but it still didn't feel secure enough.I have now switched to Sticky password as it is surely the best service out there. With so much features and even donating for endangered species, I am touch. Although on a more serious note, I find Sticky Password to be an amazing deal for everyone. The pro version isn't that expensive in at $29.99 a year and the best thing about it, it uses a personal cloud ( I mean it uses the local wifi to store passwords, so there is no danger of the passwords being exposed online). Also, it has the feature to allow us to swipe our fingers through there and allow access to only us. The biometric verification is quick and efficient, but it is really secure, so there are no worries at all when it comes to security,I am quite impressed with how intuitive it is as it is snappy and fast. Also, the directions are laid out easily, and we can lay down as many emails, passwords we like and dedicate them to as many accounts we like, again, all our choice.
For those users who care about the storing sensitive data in the cloud, Keeper offers a good compromise between convenience and security. Among the many software features is a direct sync of information between devices via Wi-Fi, bypassing the remote server. However, the free version of the service supports only local storage of passwords (e.g. no cloud sync and no Wi-Fi sync). Keeper has good support for a variety of devices. The desktop client is available for Windows, Linux, and Mac. Here is also the extension for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, mobile apps for iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Kindle and Nook tablets. Also, the service can be used through a web interface. With browser extension, you can automatically fill forms on web pages. Password generation tool is also included. To enhance the security while using Keeper you can manually define the duration of the session. Upon completion of the selected time period (default is 30 minutes), Keeper asks for the service authorization password. Another feature that can be useful for protecting the account is the two-factor authentication. Every time you log in Keeper may not only require to enter a password, but also sends SMS to the user specified mobile phone number. You get the code in it, enter it and then log in. Keeper is not able to automatically import data from browsers. But it supports importing from CSV files or other formats where commas or tabs are used as delimiters. And the data that is saved in the Keeper can be exported to PDF and text file.
