  • All in all, Webroot SecureAnywhere Business Endpoint Protection can easily prove a good option for system administrators interested in keeping a large number of computers secure effortlessly. It features a lightweight endpoint tool, paired with an intuitive online administrative console, for increased convenience.

  • While Webroot didn't fair well in the independent testing, it handled our basic security tests pretty well. With its simple interface and lightning fast scans, it has a lot to offer if you are looking for something on the simple side. However, the lack of features like parental controls or camera security on the app might disappoint.

  • Webroot's suite has a nice interface, but the program needs to get better at detecting zero-day attacks and distinguishing between threats and nonthreats.

    Pros:

    • Little performance impact on PC.
    • Fast scans.
    • Price covers up to five PCs.

    Cons:

    • Poor zero-day malware detection.
    • Flags too many legitimate programs as threats.

Webroot’s SecureAnywhere Internet Security Plus 2013 isn’t a terrible program: it’s lightweight, quick, and okay at protecting your system. However, aside from its impressive speed, it didn’t stand out in any particular area.

  • Webroot has succeeded in creating a product that requires fewer resources to run than most business antivirus software. Commitment to the cloud is a radical step over prevailing hybrid approaches. Given the increasing volume of zero-day malware threats, however, perhaps wholesale commitment to cloud defense strategies will soon become the norm.

  • The product scored 4.0/6.0 in Usability, with a total of 27 false detections over the two months of the test. Perhaps most worrying, though, was its 2.0/6.0 under Protection, which measures its ability to protect against Malware. Although it did pretty well in detecting widespread threats, it averaged only 81 percent over two months with zero-day attacks, when many rival offerings were well into the 90s.

There's a lot that is good about Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete 2013, from its low hit on system resources, to its fast scanning and cloud-based updates. It includes a lot of the extras you expect in a complete suite, including 10GB of online backup storage, is easy-to-use, provides a lot of feedback and isn't the most expensive to buy. Unfortunately, it appears to be below average at repairing a systems after a malware attack, which is pretty fundamental.

  • Webroot SecureAnywhere Internet Security Complete is a powerful and lightweight suite that is more than suitable as an all-in-one security solution to users. While the various component parts could be found elsewhere at little to no cost, Webroot eliminates the need for multiple applications and services, rolling them all into one. When compared to free, it will probably justify its own cost for most potential users.

  • Webroot SecureAnywhere Internet Security Complete (2014) is a tiny powerhouse that offers the usual security protection plus password management, backup and sync, and more. As long as you don't need antispam or parental control it's a great choice.

Webroot offers extraordinarily lightweight protection and a powerful antivirus along with flexible online backup, password management, and more. It has earned an Editors' Choice slot alongside the two Norton suites.

Webroot SecureAnywhere Antivirus is tiny beyond belief, yet it achieved perfect scores across the board in my malware-blocking tests. It also did a very good job cleaning up malware-infested systems. This impressive product shares our Editor's Choice honor with Norton AntiVirus 2012.

    Pros:

-Installer and program are incredibly tiny.
    -Very fast scan.
-Perfect score in my malware-blocking test.
-Very good score in my malware removal test.

    Cons:

    -Bonus antiphishing protection less effective.
-Bonus security tools too advanced for the average user.

  • Webroot 2014 offers better than average protection, multi-platform support, and a generous online storage allowance. It may not be the best choice for a family – if parental control is required – and its system optimiser is a little single-minded, but it’s still a sound Internet security option at a good price.

The rather also-ran results from AV-Test put a question mark over Webroot SecureAnywhere Endpoint Protection 2012. They suggest there are some problems with attack remedies and possibly false positives that need addressing. Just glancing at the AV-Test results from the consumer version of the software, though, shows the same engine can perform better (13/18), so it may just be tweaks needed. In other respects, the software is very easy to administer and lives up to its claims of a low footprint and fast operation. The interface is a model of clarity and should be well within the scope of a busy small business person, who doesn’t have IT as his/her only responsibility.

  • Otherwise, I can highly recommend Webroot to MSPs and in fact to corporates as well who are looking for a excellent anti-malware solution.

  • Webroot SecureAnywhere did as well as its competitors in most of our tests, and was up to 10 times faster when it came to scanning. We like the the use of the cloud as virus signatures are kept up-to-date and the precision with which it lets you manage users makes it attractive. The eight reporting tools round off a set comprehensive features, which will be of use to IT admins.
