What do all active web users have in common? Each of them has between 8 to 20 passwords to remember every day. There are a lot of services that help to manage the passwords, and PassPack is one of them. Here you can store your login credentials and also some secure notes and links to the web pages. To access your account you need to enter two passwords — the first one is usual, the second has to be a meaningful sentence. You can then add a button to the browser toolbar and begin adding login info from different websites. The list of accounts is organized using the tags and favorites. Unfortunately, the service lacks many of the features introduced by such apps as LastPass, which has a user client. In particular, PassPack is not able to obtain information about the new password and does not have an auto-generating passwords feature. On the other hand, this solution may be ideal for those who often works from the someone else's computers, changes computers often or does not have rights to install applications on the office computer. PassPack can help not to use the insecure passwords or write them on a piece of paper. The service even can help to disable all the previously created browser buttons. This can help if the user logged in on someone else's computer and forgot to delete the button. The passwords that are stored in the PassPack can be shared. This feature may be handy when the co-workers use the same login on the Facebok page, when your family members need the login info for the pizza site to order one for the dinner etc. Besides passwords sharing is necessary for the freelancers working on the contractor's projects. Of one needs to set up the client's account it is possible to share credentials with the client without requiring him to have a Passpack account.

Pros :

  • Password sharing.

Cons :

  • Customer support is not the best one.

I connected to the world of internet when things were not much so advanced, and not everyone could have access to basic internet security. I remember Facebook coming in a year or two after I connected to Hotmail. I haven't been that kind of a person who had many emails, it was just one for nearly 7-8 years (started way back in '03) so having different passwords everywhere was not such a hefty thing. I heard news again and again about how so and so the server has been hacked so change your password, I was there like, meh it doesn't matter. It turns out, it is truly important to not repeat any password for any email account. My ID got hacked somehow and my heartbeat raised as I swarmed across the internet changing my password from each and every account. I have a different one for Facebook, one in outlook, one in Gmail, one in Apple cloud and so on, even a completely different one in here on cloudswave, It was then that I maintained a proper diary for all my passwords, but it still didn't feel secure enough.I have now switched to Sticky password as it is surely the best service out there. With so much features and even donating for endangered species, I am touch. Although on a more serious note, I find Sticky Password to be an amazing deal for everyone. The pro version isn't that expensive in at $29.99 a year and the best thing about it, it uses a personal cloud ( I mean it uses the local wifi to store passwords, so there is no danger of the passwords being exposed online). Also, it has the feature to allow us to swipe our fingers through there and allow access to only us. The biometric verification is quick and efficient, but it is really secure, so there are no worries at all when it comes to security,I am quite impressed with how intuitive it is as it is snappy and fast. Also, the directions are laid out easily, and we can lay down as many emails, passwords we like and dedicate them to as many accounts we like, again, all our choice.

Pros :

  • Fast and highly secure and with the data being saved in our LAN, no one can access it over the internet.
  • the biometric verification eases the process of keeping them safe.
  • Great customer support too.
  • Just helped me move along, it was so intuitive.

Cons :

  • So far so good.

Passpack is a truly amazing service, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a strong, yet simple to use password manager. Being a web-based service, it allows the end-user to switch between computers with ease (the “cloud” concept that allows it to work on any OS that has a JavaScript enable web-browser), and also helps to alleviate the need to worry about backing up ones passwords. And, as I went over, the JavaScript bookmarklet makes using Passpack easier than entering even the most easy-to-remember and insecure password.
