  • With one license you can protect three Windows machines for one year. The protection consists of real-time protection against malware, safety from identity theft and phishing, and secure online financial transactions. The software updates itself automatically with small updates that don’t bog your computer down. As soon as any PC in the Kaspersky network of users encounters a never-seen-before threat, the information goes to Kaspersky Lab, which places a signature of the threat into a cloud service that your installed copy of Kaspersky uses to identify what’s safe and what’s threatening. Unless you require 24/7 telephone or online chat access to technical support, there is no better antivirus for PC in terms of threat prevention, impact on system resources and usability.

  • Offering terrific protection against all types of malware, Kaspersky Anti-Virus (2015) rockets to the top of the chart for this year. Independent labs give it top marks across the board for usability and minimal impact on system resources, though a few reviewers aren't sure about that last part. Set up and use are relatively pain free, too.

  • Kaspersky Lab is a titan of the security industry, and its Anti-Virus 2015 packs the punch you'd expect: top-notch malware detection, a slick interface and a strong selection of security features. However, its interface, while aesthetically clean, doesn't prioritize the tools users most often need. Most importantly, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2015 also performed poorly in our system-impact tests, suggesting that the program might slow down your computer quite a bit when it's scanning.

At first approach, Kaspersky manager interface is really very slim and compact and emphasizes its antivirus functions, however, remain quite hidden other features related to security tools, for ex. all the different monitoring tools and advanced management (additional tools menu). This is (for an average user, or rather a novice user) just fine but if you want to "play" a little more, and you'll have to do a double shift. It offers all the classic scan types then: complete, personalized (if you want to choose or exclude something), fast, external devices, and task manager.

Like all Antivirus has available the quarantine tool that allows you to store all the infected files or deemed potentially dangerous. It's going to be up to us to decide what to do with these.

    Pros :

    • I've Always preferred its malware threat control features, I consider it one of the best and one of the most updated it has the settings / Schedule option, in this you can schedule periodic scans, and this is so useful (set to off by default). Instead, it enabled the automatic update of new malware definitions.
    • I found the reports tab very interesting, this allows you to monitor various executions of the scans, useful if you are analyzing why has arisen some abnormality or to go back to the time when the virus was infected.

    Cons :

    • The engine is not lightweight, just monitor how many resources used by the task manager (especially running) to realize this.
    • Difficult to interpret (for a novice user) is the functionality of the discovery of vulnerabilities, in practice, Kaspersky suggests autonomously what he said can be a problem in terms of safety.
    • It is also encouraging what have to fix and what does not (always according to him), this, in my opinion, can be confusing, but is rightly in the advanced tools panel.
    • It also provides different control functions of the various browsers, such as the blocking of pop-ups or privacy management or cookies, etc. I think that for an advanced user is pretty useless because it is not advisable to give this "task" to Kaspersky also to avoid further complicating the navigability.
