I really enjoy using HiTask, as there is literally a thousand different apps that are web based to help you manage your day, your personal to-do lists, things at work, your family chores, etc. I like that it is targeted for people who are on the go who want things down now or also you can write things down for the future just like a little notebook.It is very simple to use, track goals and they are constantly simplifying the process. I have a lot of friends in India that use this tool as well. I am not sure where the company is based out of, but it means it is a great company that can strive in many different industries and markets and it looks like it is not going to stop growing!
Pros : You can see your different tasks, what you write on your calendar and easy change or edit what you have down there. You also can do an option like copy and paste to edit a certain task.Like a few apps, I have they have a feature when you can group different things together. Kind of like on the iPhone where you can put an app inside another app and then you can name it.I really like that you can basically edit anything and then share the certain document or file with your colleagues or co-workers.This week at work I am leading some tips and tricks and organizational time management seminar and I think I am going to bring up HiTask and how crucial it is to our groups' success :)We use a lot of Google products at work, and this can sync up with your calendar meaning Google calendar and also your email meaning Gmail.
Cons : I wouldn't really say this in cost, but it does get expensive. For five people to actually is it, it is around ten dollars a month, and they also have a free trial and an every 6-month payment plan.It is limited in functionality, I wish we can combine many different apps and mold it all together. I also use Wunderlist. When I time management I have a daily tracker, then what I want to do now then and page for each topic. HiTask can do something similar, so I guess making it a little more customer will help :)
The main advice I would give any organization considering a project management platform is to make sure it will be adopted from the top down. Our company has struggled to maintain the excitement and momentum we had when first implementing because many of our leaders are not using it, therefore causing employees to slack off and move away from using the system. We have been using Redbooth for about a year in our Corporate Support Center. Our Marketing Department mainly uses it to manage creative requests from our nationally dispersed Client Support and Business Development teams. (We were previously using email/sticky notes). Redbooth has been a life-changing tool for our graphic designer. She is able to attach designed documents directly in Redbooth, get feedback, make adjustments, and resend — all without having to access email. In addition, our Client Managers can submit a request (and research the status of their requests) from anywhere. The interface itself is very intuitive. And, similar to Trello, the individual tasks can be very simple (name, owner, due date), or they can get really complex (description, attached documentation, etc.). Where it differs from Trello is that users have the ability to see their own tasks aggregated on the dashboard, rather than having to move project to project to see each one’s associated tasks. Perhaps our favorite feature is the video calling / screen sharing. We have GoToMeeting and use it frequently for meetings with clients, but we have switched many internal meetings over to Redbooth. In addition, for one-on-ones with remote team members, we are able to have a “face to face” meeting over the Internet! Redbooth also offers an iPhone app, but from my experience it is lacking. The app constantly needs “refreshed” to see the most up-to-date tasks, meaning it is not truly real-time.

I think Zoho Projects is an extremely powerful tool for managing projects. The wide range of useful and applicable tools it offers its users are both powerful but at the same time extremely simple to use and navigate. I believe that this web application would be useful for small businesses and project teams. Whether it can handle extremely large project teams is another issue but I think it could quite possibly do the job. Just like all the other applications Zoho offers, this tool has exceeded my expectations and I will quite happily use it in the future. This tool is a prime example of an Enterprise 2.0 tool because of the intergration of many web 2.0 features such as: status updates, RSS feeds, wikis, and so on.More about Zoho Projects

Zohoprojects looks good at first however there are some small bugs. More importantly there are MAJOR issues once everything is set up. Unfortunately we had to leave zohoprojects for privacy reasons. Within the project management system as it is currently developed every user can see every comment and task for every other user in the project. We contacted zoho and there is no way of changing this. Our setup currently is we have employees, contractors, managers and clients. As far as zoho is concerned though all of the above make no difference as zohoprojects lets every user even the contractors see EVERY detail of every conversation and tasks between managers and clients. Eventhough there are priviledge roles to prevent users from editing other users tasks they can still view EVERYTHING. Every login or message left, every detail, task, invoice etc generated for every other user. Therefore two completely independent contractors for example could view absolutely everything that is going on with eachother. Absolutely ludicrous. This is certainly a fundamental and very basic requirement which any project manager would expect out of the box. Zohoprojects however seems not to care about it. We contacted them many times about this issue to find a workaround however there is none. We got a nice apology from India but unfortunately that is not enough. This lack of functionality can not be omitted. It is essential. All it needs is a tick box within each project titled "Tick for Assigned users to be able to view tasks and milestones only" In summary: If you are intending to use zohoprojects to manage one or more contractors and employees for your business then DON´?¢T. You could do more damage to your business through this lack of privacy functionality than good if you do. As every project user can see EVERYTHING that everyone else is doing including any login or sensitive information that is posted. There is no way of making any message or task private. Also ALL client information can be viewed by EVERY user also. Zoho does have a solution to client information being visible to all the users which is to set up one project for clients and one for workers. Surely that negates the complete purpose of the system in the first place? All I can say is "It´?¢s a shame". Unless they fix it soon they will certainly lose huge amounts of customers and revenue just the same as they have now lost ours.More about Zoho Projects
