Cloudswave Score for Chrometa
Rating based on 17 Critic Reviews
Love the product. It pays for itself with that one email or call made on the fly that you forget to log or forget how much time it took. I find that they busier I am that my exposure to lost income increases as manually tracking time logs is very challenging. This product helps me realize all of the income I work hard to generate. Plus it help legitimize your time to the client and eliminates doubt from them perspective.
Pros : Tracks my time better than I can, legitimizes my invoices

This is an easy to use, nearly invisible app. It does a great job tracking my time. One feature I particularly like is the ability to track my time in Word Perfect, because other tracking programs only seem to recognize Word. This app has already paid for itself.

I was always hesitant to use Chrometa due to the price, but then I figured all of the other programs I had pieced together to accomplish some of the same things. The best features are the Android app (finally I can catch and bill for text messages) and the Outlook add-in - I spend 60% to 80% of my day in email, and I was losing so much income because I would get frustrated figuring my time, and just bill clients a tenth of an hour no matter how much time I would spend emailing them.
Pros : Integrations with a number of programs, ability to further automate by setting rules
Cons : None that I have found!

Chrometa is an exceptional tool for time tracking, and will automatically create and sync time entries for computer-based activities as well as calls on mobile devices. The invoicing function is very basic, but the interface with outside applications makes it possible to use other applications for client invoicing.

Chrometa is a sweet application. I highly recommend you take it for a spin and see how much time you’re spending on unbillable tasks or how you’ve been under-billing on client work. This simple, but elegant, tool is a dream for anyone who sells their time and wants to get paid for it, all of it.

Chrometa is a great program if you need to track your time and you've been looking for a program to do this with ease. It's an outstanding program so long as you don't mind entering the information into your billing or invoicing software. It's perfect for freelancers, consultants, lawyers, and anyone who spends time at a computer and bills by the hour (or who wants to track how his time is spent on various projects).

Overall, Chrometa is a very nice tool. It would be better if there was a free version, rather than just 30-day trial, but if your time is valuable, then Chrometa will be priceless.

Chrometa is quite powerful. It doesn’t track your time using timer, which is a real hassle way to track your billable hours or analyze your productivity. All you need to do is to focus on your work and project, and let Chrometa runs in the background for you to check out later.

Overall, Chrometa seems very promising. As a former user of RescueTime, I find Chrometa’s interface much friendlier and simpler. RescueTime’s reporting is a bit schmancier, especially with its attempts to automatically categorize and analyze your activity, but I think I prefer Chrometa’s no-frills approach that lets you set up your summaries and logs in a way that’s meaningful to you.
From Time Management Software
Chrometa is an application that tracks web sites visited and applications used on your computer. This has application for some individuals, however it’s cumbersome to use and requires a lot of time to organize the information that is produced. So it doesn’t overall help you with your time management.
Brad McCarty, on The Next Web
Why try Chrometa? Simply put, we like the reports and we like the depth of them. So far, we’ve seen very few options that provide as much information about how you spend your time and for that alone Chrometa is worth a look.
Jared D. Correia, on American Bar Association
Chrometa passes the scratch-and-sniff test. It’s easy to use, right out of the box, with a really intuitive interface. Separate panels for Active Time and Away Time, a calendar widget, options tabs, and category folders all look very familiar and operate as you expect they would.
