For a newer contender in the project management industry, Apollo certainly has a leg up on the competition with its fresh take on some features (my favorites being the timer and the option to integrate calendars). If this is their software after only a few years, then I am definitely looking forward to what they come up with in the future!
From Project Management Best Software
Apollo does not have the complexities of other comprehensive software suites (tasks dependencies, Gantt charts, Cost estimation), but its usability, calendar view and organization will entice the most casual project managers and even seasoned managers that are looking to streamline their PM practice with a hosted software that provides solutions to our fast paced environments. If you are a small or mid-size organization that manages project for customers, Apollo is a great option...

Elizabeth Harrin, on Girl’s Guide to Project Management
It isn’t full of features. It doesn’t have a good suite of reports. But it is easy to use, nicely put together and with the promise of more to come. For managing my projects, it works. I can organise tasks and projects, and work from a calendar of upcoming deadlines. I can schedule meetings, and set up reminders. All it needs is the email notification options to be a bit more developed, and for the option to colour-code my projects, and I’ll be very, very happy with it. I can, however, live without those extras. Because finally, I have found a project management software tool that I will actually use for my business.

I would like to recommend Apollo for small and start-up businesses needing project management and contact management, but who do not need a complex software program. The program seems that it would also be quite appropriate for freelancers and other individuals working on their own, often with multiple clients and customers, who need a more robust form of tracking projects and contacts than a program like Microsoft Outlook would be able to offer. Apollo could be the program for you if you meet any of these needs. It tests very well, and is one of the easier programs to use that I've reviewed.

There are honestly too many features to Apollo to really give you an in-depth review of each of them. Apollo has a series of screencasts that will walk you through many of them, but the best way to really be impressed by Apollo is to simply use it.
Apollo is a great and affordable alternative to the various paid project management applications out there on the market currently. Anyone who works in the software or development community will find great use in Apollo, or anyone who works in project management in general. Its web based nature lends itself quite well to development teams spread out over the world.
