AgileZen is a web-based collaboration and project management software. It is a simple and visual application that follows agile methodology through its color-coded, tab-based interface. By splitting projects into smaller, more manageable tasks, it allows users to easily track daily to-do items, while also seeing the workload of team members as well as the overall project status.
Visualize work simply – Work is organized visually based on the lean production principle of a kanban board or a visual card. Instead of a task list, a unit of work called a story is placed initially at the leftmost column. As actual work is done on the story, it moves through the different columns or phases of the kanban board until it reaches the rightmost column, indicating its completion. At any stage, a user can click on a story and view or edit the details.
Organize workflow flexibly – Each organization has a way of doing things. With this in mind, AgileZen project management software provides a basic workflow composed of three columns in the visual board, which can be customized and expanded by the users. It provides a customizable color coding scheme that can indicate urgency or a tagging system to indicate priority. Inviting and organizing team members by roles help project administrators control and manage information. Attaching project documents to a story also helps keep anything related organized centrally in one place.
Communicate and work efficiently – After team members have completed their required part in a story, they can mark it descriptively to notify others that the story is ready to proceed in the next phase as far as they are concerned. Or they can mark it in such a way to alert others that they are having a problem and unable to proceed without help. No superfluous conversations take place except for what is needed to move the story. Also, by setting a work-in-progress limit on any phase of the board, the maximum amount of effort is placed on a manageable number of items to keep things moving faster.

Rating based on 4 Critic Reviews
Jose Maria delos Santos, on Project Management
Agilezen project management software offers all the advantages of an agile methodology, a lean approach, and a visual kanban system in an online tool. It is simple and easy to use, but flexible and feature-rich enough to allow customizations and collaborations without giving users a difficult time in figuring out how to use the application. By using the software, work is easily seen and efficiently done by a team that can move quickly and focus effectively.

What do you like best?
What do you like best?
Ability to lay out projects into panels as a process flow. Easy to use, set up, and share with colleagues.
What do you dislike?
Not super flexible beyond its specific purpose. Cannot move tasks between boards. Feels very much like a startup with a piece of software that is still in its early stages. Does not live update if multiple people are looking at the same board.
Mike Foster, on AppAppeal
This app would go perfectly with a small team that needs to coordinate a number of tiny tasks and keep them all on a schedule. It’s also effective for larger teams working on bigger projects, thanks to its scalability and ease of use. Individuals may find use for it as well, though it’s not necessarily tailored for single-user creations.
