  • Unbounce Use Cases and Deployment ScopeWe use Unbounce so we can easily launch paid campaigns with new landing pages. We use it for everything from content promotion to SEM landing pages. It lets us move quickly and get tests out the door without having to rely on IT or another department for dev or technical implementations. It also lets our designers build a template once and then we can edit and revise without them taking time away from other important projects.

Pros : Landing page testing - easy to set up, easy to declare a winner, easy to move winners to other pages, etc.Landing page creation - easy for designers to set up one template and for us to run with the template for a variety of use cases.

Cons : We'd love to be able to host Unbounce landing pages on site and build SEO landing pages here.

  • What do you like best?

Very user-friendly. Robust capabilities. Drag & drop functionality. Many examples offered that can be mimicked. A/B variants included.

    What do you dislike?

They need to add more images and allow image colors to be manipulated, especially for "submit" buttons.

Very impressed with the platform. The Unbounce interface is easy to use. Their customer service is really responsive, and they have an excellent blog on creating landing pages and increasing conversion rates.

    Pros :

    • Integrations with third-party providers such as MailChimp, Constant Contact, Salesforce and Hubspot are very easy to set up.
    • Installing javascript and custom code takes seconds.
    • Mobile sites are easy to design.

    Cons :

    • Having to pay an additional $5/e for each domain name you add
    • I think the monthly pricing structure could also use some work, especially for some of my smaller clients who only have 1 site.

Landing pages are very important in online sales and marketing. It is important that a landing page is interesting enough to keep users on the website, and hopefully convert them into paying customers. Creating a decent landing page is no easy task, and a number of tools can be used to do so - one of which is Unbounce.

First of all, Unbounce has a user-friendly drag and drop builder that can be used to construct the landing page from beginning to end. There is no need to code in HTML and CSS, as the drag and drop builder allows the positioning of a wide array of form controls, including combo boxes, text boxes, radio buttons, check boxes, and many others. This, therefore, grants the flexibility of being able to capture any combination of information from users, as well as the ease of creating it without having to learn any programming languages or technologies.

Similarly, there is a wide selection of templates that can also be used, which are proven to have all necessary elements of a successful landing page. Once a landing page is created and deployed with Unbounce, a number of features can be used to assess the success of the respective landing page.

Numerous analytical tools are present, to indicate what the source of traffic to the landing page is, as well as monitoring the conversion rates, and other meaningful metrics. These are extremely important features for marketers. Besides this, multiple landing pages can be created, and their success can be compared and contrasted against each other so that the best landing page can be chosen. This is a form of A/B testing. Unbounce is, therefore, an excellent and highly recommended tool, which is feature-rich as well as user-friendly. The only downside is that it can be quite pricey; however, it is well worth the money.

    Pros :

    • Loads of form controls can be placed.
    • Many possibilities for monitoring conversions.
    • It is possible to test the success of multiple landing pages.
    • User-friendly.
    • Integrates with SalesForce, MailChimp and many other services.
    • Drag and drop builder.
    • Detailed analytics indicating traffic source.
    • Numerous templates to choose from.

    Cons :

    • Quite expensive to get the most features.

In general, Unbounce is a great tool to start building landing pages and to improve your online marketing efforts. You set up your account in no time and publish your first page within minutes.

    Pros :

    • The UI is very easy to understand; it's intuitive to start editing most parts of the built-in templates.
    • For more advanced users it has a lot of cool features under the hood like adding javascript, connecting to third party tools, etc.

    Cons :

    • Being able to choose from more templates would be cool, but there are a lot of resources available on sites like Themeforest.

After testing many landing page creators, Unbounce is the only one I use with my clients. It's easy to use, has killer (and not impossible to understand) analytics, A/B testing and great customer service –that I've rarely ever had to resort to. The free version is also a wonderful and efficient tool for smaller businesses who still want to look professional when generating leads. Creating a landing page is remarkably simple: choose a theme, and play around with it until you've changed every image, text, color, and format to your liking. Do the same with the mobile version (did I mention that's in most themes?). Create Thank You page and link to a mailing list in whatever mailing software you use. Create a second (or third, or fourth) version if you want to. Publish. Collect leads. It's that easy. Once you do it a couple of times, you get the hang of it, and it's a breeze from there. You can also create your landing page from scratch, and it allows for detailed analytics. However, my favorite part needs to be the ease of their A/B testing. The results are right there, and it gives you the possibility of habilitating or suppressing versions as needed, which in turn allows you to make sure that you're getting to your audience in the best possible way. This feature can double or triple the results I've gotten with similar tools. I recommend Unbounce to anyone interested in getting leads, and particularly to those who want to offer something (i.e. an e-book) in return. It makes the process easy, and the results can't be beaten. It's integration with mailing software is way above average, and the interface is so intuitive that none of my customers have ever had issues working with it. At most, it takes a couple tries to get the hang of it.

    Pros :

    • Intuitive interface.
    • Mailing software integration.
    • Easy landing page design.
    • Analytics.
    • A/B testing.
    • Free option (with branded bar at the bottom. Worth it if you're a smaller business).
    • File hosting Mobile version in most themes

    Cons :

    • Some categories are not in the same format as those in some mailing software, but you can easily modify them.

Unbounce is a great way to create beautiful looking landing pages for lead generation. The landing page design tool is about as easy as using Word, so it gives power to non-technical people. For those with technical (HTML/CSS) knowledge, you'll feel comfortable too as you can put that knowledge to use with pixels and the like. You can easily create pages, and then variants of those pages to test differences. You can then run traffic at them, and Unbounce will measure the conversion rate of each variation. Once you have a statistically important result, you can fix the winning page to get all of the traffic. It's because this is how you're meant to use the site, that they limit the plans and pricing based on the number of visitors to pages at each pricing level. One great feature is dynamic text replacement, which can grab the keyword from URL strings from Adwords and replace that in strategic places within the landing page, to make the landing page more relevant to the visitor and provide a higher quality score to lower CPC costs. My only gripe is that sometimes it's a little difficult to position things, but like with any system, once you figure out it's quirks, it's like riding a bike. Otherwise, the design and UI is really great and makes it a pleasure to use.

    Pros :

    • Free trial.
    • Relatively easy to use for anyone.
    • Easy to create variant pages for testing.

    Cons :

    • Sometimes positioning elements can be finicky.
