Moz Use Cases and Deployment ScopeMoz is currently used to manage aspects of our SEO program that we feel are more readily updated directly by our team instead of waiting for an outside vendor to get to it. We like the accuracy of the data and options for moving forward.
Pros : One big strength of Moz is that you do not need to go to an off-site training session to get up to speed. The quality of the on-line tutorial videos is very good and they allow us to add new features as we need them. The alerts force us to update any issues immediately. It is a great way to maintain control over your SEO program.
Cons : We feel there needs to be more on SEO 101 to get beginners up to speed. As we add to our team I'd like Moz to teach them the basics, not requiring me to do that function.

Moz Use Cases and Deployment ScopeWe use Moz as a key resource for our SEO strategy. The tools in Moz Pro allow us to keep track of duplicate content, broken links, and areas of opportunity in SEO.
Pros : Wide variety of tools that can solve/answer almost any SEO problem.Very user friendly. Anyone can use the tools with little to no training.
Cons : I wish they had better dashboards/summary views. There is so much information that Moz provides, that it would be really helpful when I logged in to see high priority issues and areas of excellence like, "This is what you need to fix right now" and "This is what you're doing great"

Moz Use Cases and Deployment ScopeWe use Moz for our clients, we manage their seo optimization strategy, keyword research, link building and analytics.
Pros : Create complete SEO reportsIdeal for digital agenciesDeep keyword research
Cons : Multi language weak
I've used Moz across several roles in the last 4 years and found it to be very useful. My favourite tool from Moz has to be Open Site Explorer, which is great for getting a quick overview of the authority of a website, with data to back this up which mainly comes from backlink profile and social shares. This tools allows me to dig into my backlinks, checking the authority at domain level & page level, along with a spam score which is useful when looking to identify low quality links. it can also be used to compare link metrics with other websites, which is great for discovering new links. I have to say, I've never been a huge fan of using Moz for SEO campaigns, as a lot of the suggestions that were being made to optimise my pages were very basic. However, it looks like they have made a lot of changes since I last used it, providing more of a dashboard approach which is good for getting an overview of a website.
Pros : Access to Mos's suit of tools to help with the main aspects of online marketing Great for getting a snapshot of website performance Good for identifying new opportunities for links & Keywords OSE is a great tool which provides a snapshot of your link profile with many great features Nice custom reports Access to a number of discounts or exclusive free trials through Moz's 'Perks'
Cons : OSE doesn't discover as many links as some of the other SEO tools that I use

Moz encompasses such a robust set of tools with so many different features and capabilities, this review has really only scratched the surface of how you can use it for monitoring and improving your SEO and marketing efforts.

Of all the link building tools I looked at and reviewed in SEOmoz PRO, the Open Site Explorer was the best. With its clean interface and above average filtering options, the OSE is a good back link analysis tool for the serious link builder.

One of my criticisms of the SEOmoz tools has always been that they felt a bit style over substance. Moz analytics is still a beta product so I’m not going to be too harsh here but the toolset does to me still feel a bit empty and I’m not convinced there’s much of an improvement over the old Pro dashboard which Moz Analytics will replace. However some of the tools are excellent and the content is really useful for keeping you up to date.

I love the Moz approach and pretty much everything Moz puts out. With that being said, I think what Moz values - and predictably, the capabilities of the tools Moz builds - makes a lot of sense for patient, serious internet marketers who get (or maybe just believe) that they're building something over time, brick by brick. Process matters to these people. They want results like anyone else, but they want to understand what's driving those results. They use phrases like 'path to purchase'. They optimize for outcomes, not for keyword rankings. (That's a Lee Oddenism, not something I made up.) These aren't tools for the quick-fix types. That's SENuke, Rank Checker, keyword density calculations, and some magic meta tag formula which will fix everything.

Well, we don’t expect to be using Moz Analytics every day and for every client, but some of its metrics are really great and with the future possibility of custom reports and exports to PDF, I will certainly be showing some of its useful data visualisations to clients.

If I have a need for the tools and services that MOZ provides in the future, I’ll certainly go there first, but probably won’t extend the trial because I don’t want to focus my life on Online Performance (I know that’s a losing battle). But I also want to be clear that I make that decision (not to focus on performance) because I want to build something new. and when your building new things, you can’t worry too much at how they will perform (you don’t know yet). I’m also more interested in education and community (which MOZ has a lot of), so if I kept MOZ, it would be mainly for that.

As you can tell, there is a ton here in Moz. But one of my favorite tools is theKeyword Analysis. It lets me study a word or term to find out how difficult it is to rank for it. The score is based on the top 10 competitor sites that currently rank for that same term or phrase. It isn’t very often that I dig into a tool and love it. But I have to say that I love Moz. It is perfect for any business owner or executive that has to figure out how to make their website perform better. Moz provided a long media trial for me to evaluate the many tools in its suite. Frankly, they did it because I’m pretty slow, even after years of reviewing software and hardware stuff. They offer a free 30-day trial on the paid tools, so you can dig in and see how it can help your marketing on a trial basis.
