  • I've only been using Influitive for a few weeks, but my experience with the company and the product thus far has been exceptional. It has been very well-received by our customers!

    Pros : The on-boarding process in particular has been a pleasure. My Advocacy Coach has been very helpful, and is always available to answer questions. The platform is relatively intuitive and easy to use, and they are constantly improving it. It has been very well-received by our customers!

    Cons : Some aspects are a little hard to navigate the first time (examples: getting to badges/levels management, creating groups), but as I've mentioned, they are very helpful, are always looking for ways to improve their product, and it is a robust platform, so some navigation/complexity for certain aspects is to be expected.

    I love the Influitive AdvocateHub! It's a great way to create a social network and some buzz around your particular product, a great way to identify super-users and evangelists of your product, and a great way to generate some honest customer feedback. The best use of Influitive I have seen was when Salesforce purchased Exact Target. The new Salesforce Marketing Cloud created an Influitive Hub to increase branding awareness, create buzz, and to engage with users.

    You use Influitive by creating tasks, simple or complex, for your user base. They can be functionality-related and very outcome specific, or they can be open-ended and conversational. They can also be unrelated to your product and simply social and fun. Some examples might be:

    1) Tell us how you're feeling about this particular aspect of our product and why

    2) Watch this video of 10 ways to make your day more productive

    3) Write a review of our product.

    4) Are you planning on coming to our next roadshow? Tell us what you look forward to.

    ...and so on...

    The tasks are validated by some sort of activity like a quiz, and points are assigned to each task. A rewards program tied to the points keeps users engaged, and Influitive hosts can set up any rewards they wish -- Amazon gift cards, donations to charity, etc. For your users who are motivated by competition, there is an option in the dashboard for a scoreboard of users, ranked by points.

    Pros :

    • This application was thoughtfully designed with good UX and makes it simple for users to engage.
    • Multiple methods are available to drive.

    • Multiple methods are available to drive engagement, and it seems that the sky is the limit in terms of creativity.
    • Email notifications allow Influitive hosts to send out special time-sensitive contests and offers, making it more interesting engagement and it seems that the sky is the limit in terms of creativity.

    Cons :

    • The only downside I'm seeing is that you will need dedicated editorial/content/community staff to build this out and manage it.
    • For decent results, you will need someone to spend some significant planning/brainstorming time to come up with regular activities that are meaningful in terms of return/engagement and meaningful/fun for users. Definitely an investment.
