After using a couple of email marketing systems, we signed up with Constant Contact and love it! Generating emails that any email platform can resolve easily without broken code and graphics that display easily on machines and mobile devices is perfect. I've used constant contact on large 30K plus campaigns bi-weekly for several years, and the returns are fantastic. Customers will print those coupons and bring them into the store to redeem. They work! Generating reports is fast and easy, and I like that we can have reports automatically sent to us so that to keep us updated on our progress and see what is working and what needs improvement. Your support at Constant Contact is also top notch. They are willing to help you with anything you have questions with at the drop of a hat, and that is unheard of these days. Usually, companies will schedule a call with the only technician they have on staff but everyone at Constant Contact is very helpful at all levels. The ability to send out customer surveys fast and easy is a HUGE plus! Those surveys can also feature logic based questions which react to a customer's response by changing the direction of questions or asking for further detail. Ex: "Are you happy with your purchase?" if the customer answers " Yes" then it can move to the next question. If the customer answers "no" it can open a dialog box that asks for an explanation as to what occurred so we can improve our service and address any issues that may be trending with a particular product, store, or employee. The social media aspect of Constant Contact is also a fantastic feature for companies who sell products or services to users of social media. You can post the same survey to your social media accounts like Facebook, with ease!
I have used Mandrill for almost 2 months now and I got to say I'm very impressed. I came onboard in the middle of the MailChimp integration so I guess that now is only good if you use MailChimp as your email marketing provider.andnbsp;Set up is very easy (You may need to know a little bit of code to set it up) but didn't take me more than 50 minutes to put the key on the script, create the actions and make sure everything worked. After that, you might need to set up the templates. Thse are the same as the Mailchimp ones so again if you are a Mailchimp power user you can integrate with the templates you have available on your account or go ahead and copy paste/import the code no coding skills required.So far the emails always get to my costumers, and I barely need any kind of maintenance of any kind. This product has saved me a lot of manual remarketing, something that I was doing before deciding to make a purchase.Cost: The cost is included (At least for my tier) on the monthly payments I make to Mailchimp. These payments vary with the number of users you might have on your lists.andnbsp;Interface: Very user-friendly. For heavy users, the tags on the templates can be life savers.Team needed: I would say you need a developer to set everything up including the automation actions and a marketer/front end designer to set up all the campaign.Analytics: Mandrill does not have the best analytics suite, but they are decent to get an overview of the campaigns (Open rates, clicks, etc.) Overall, I would recommend this product if transactional emails are time-consuming in your organization. If you have Mailchimp paid, account muchandnbsp;better.
Constant Contact is your basic email sender. It's not an amazing platform and is more "microsoft" than creative.
Pros : It get's the emails where they need to go and gets them there fast.
Cons : The emails don't look near as good as Mailchimp created emails.

A great transactional email service is one you won't have to actually look at much, since it'll be running behind the scenes delivering emails automatically without you having to worry about that. Mandrill will do that job well, but it'll also entice you to check its app a bit more than you might with other services, with the wealth of other features it offers. All I can say, is try and fine a phone number of email address for technical support ANYWHERE. Your only contact is through the support form, which would be great if they didn't take 2 days to get back to you. 2 days is two days too long if you send out 12,000 emails and all of the links don't work as happened to us. When you use MailJet, they do some kind of redirecting, probably so they can capture analytics. At 10:44 we ran our final test and it worked. At 11:00 we launched 12,000 and every hyperlink was broke. First thing the next morning I ran a test again and the links worked on that. Been trying to get a hold of Mail Jet all morning while my customer if fielding angry emails and calls from the recipients. It's a huge embarrassment and frustration for all of us. Now ask me if the $7.50 per month price is a good deal or not? Oh, and this is not the first time we've needed help and gotten into this bind. We will be switching once we manage this emergency.More about Mailjet
