Compared to other tools I have used, Acuity is much easier in terms of setting up your calendar and personalizing the appointments. I love the additional options, such as intake forms, payments and the confirmation emails. Every time I explore I find a new feature or tool. This is a tool build with the user experience in mind, to save time and simplify business. The only negative that I can compare to others is not being able to do a 2 way sync to my calendar (iCal). Hopefully testing in other formats will result in this being a future feature.
Pros : Easy to use, many options and extra tools. Love the cushion of time for before and after so you have time to wrap up after an appointment and prepare for the next, or travel in between.
Cons : Work on a 2 way sync for ical. Maybe an easier way to indicate things such as "I will call you at xxx phone #" or "dial in to a conference call".

My wife runs her business both from the home and other sites that have therapists working in them. She was previously managing all her clients through a manual booking process that was incredibly time consuming and involved multiple phone calls and back and forth between herself and prospective clients. Being a good husband and in the process of attempting to earn brownie points I decided to start looking for a scheduling solution that had all the features to support multiple sites but was also simple...since if it wasn't easy to use...those brownie points would quickly add up to a severe beating while I was sleeping. I was able to find Acuity through some quick research online and so far it seems to fir the bill.
Pros : Easy to set up Clean U.I. (User Interface) Intuitive Numerous integration's Multiple ways to schedule Ease of use for clients Notifications for appointments (Configurable for clients and business) Easy import of existing clients from Quick Books
Cons : Set up can be time consuming, but the software doesn't add any unnecessary steps. Another major con for me was that my wife was currently using ios Calendar for all her bookings and there was no way that I could quickly find to import her existing appointments into Acuity. I was able to import all her contacts from Quick Books, but manually entering three months of appointments into the new system was...painful.

When I initially began using Acuity it was several years ago and my business was just in the beginning phases. As employees came aboard the system updates weren't what I needed so I left. Of course I kept the free edition on the downlow, but then needed it for one thing so I made a small investment again. For this first time in my life I returned to a relationship, lol. I love the little messages that it gives you, the features, the ease, the many new possibilities seem to have made the difference that I needed. I am glad that I was open to giving them a shot again.
Pros : Very easy, other programs that I use are integrated
Cons : I haven't found an app for this :(
