  • Zoho Books is smart accounting for growing businesses. It won our Great User Experience and Useful Free Trial Awards for 2016. It is an intuitive accounting solution designed for small businesses to handle their finances and to remain on top of their cash flow. It is a simple, easy-to-use accounting solution to help you handle your business, the smart way.

    Pros :

    Cons :

  • I am working as wholesaler, zoho books helped me in decision making very useful and easy to use but need some improvement in inventory management.thanks to cloud basis I am using this app from different locations and devices.

Pros : Accounting, reports and contacts management are excellent.

Cons : Inventory management need some improvements

  • Zoho Books may not have the name recognition of Intuit's QuickBooks or Xero, but it's superior to both of them in terms of its depth, capabilities, and customization. Only the lack of integrated payroll keeps it from getting a solo Editor's Choice.

    Eric Poulin

We are a small business. When looking for an accounting package after being completely frustrated with QuickBooks and looking for a cloud solution, we compared with about 5 other online packages including QuickBooks online. Zoho Books was the most full-featured package with great ease of use and something that we could adopt without a professional bookkeeper. While it's not the common QuickBooks that many small businesses are used to, Zoho offers a beautiful upgrade from Quickbooks with an intuitive web interface. Payment gateways are available so payments can be made directly in the app. Integration with bank accounts and PayPal accounts are easy to setup.

    Pros :

    • Shared access, sign up whoever needs access to the company.
    • The mobile app is useful for submitting expenses and photos of the receipts.
    • Mobile also gives a quick snapshot of where your company books are at and to create an invoice on the spot. Integrated with other Zoho suite apps.
    • Easy of use and webinars/online help is well documented and readily available.
    • Bank account feed connection was very easy to setup.
    • Great price.
    • Customers can be granted access and login to see their account history and make payments.
    • Also, there is a timer function that allows you to track time spent against client accounts at a fixed rate and that time is automatically added to the next invoice... a function crucial for people like me who charge hourly for certain aspects of project work.

    Cons :

    • There is no direct credit card processing built in without a 3rd party payment gateway that you need a separate subscription for.
    • We're still trying to figure out how to enter a deposit before the transaction shows up in the back feed, and then correlate them afterwards.
    • Ideally, a payment gateway would be available built into the platform, but I understand that this is not possible at the low price point.
