Tallie automates the entire expense capture, approval and reporting process, with features for employees, managers and accountants alike. The app lets employees gather expense data from a variety of sources - scan receipts, import receipt images from email, import credit card expenses or calculate mileage. Tallie then auto-categorizes expense items, merges duplicates, and checks for policy compliance.
Tallie uses expense data to aggregate expense reports which can be reviewed by employees prior to submission. The app sends notifications to employees of overdue, unsubmitted expenses not yet filed. Employees can then submit reports for approval online or from their mobile devices and they can then track the expense report's status as it moves through the approval chain.
Once the expense reports have been submitted, managers can review the scanned receipts, flagged duplicates, and policy compliance before approving them with one click. Tallie can then be used to map expense reports to the general ledger, accounting systems, payroll provider, bill pay and document storage systems, exporting individual or multiple reports to one or many external systems. Tallie also automatically populates itself with data pulled from QuickBooks and Bill.com, using this combination of data to create detailed, visual spend reports.
