I’m really glad that Sage One Accounting is now using the same code base as the U.K., as this iteration is so much better than the previous one. If you’re a professional services business, this is a viable choice.
From SMB Reviews
Sage One is a simply use and friendly online account software for freelancers and small businesses looking to access an easy way to invoice clients, time track, and in some cases collaborate
From The Accounting Reviews
We liked Sage One and we think for a very small business without much or any bookkeeping experience this would make a great package. However, we did question if it was too basic, we think that as soon as a user got to grips with basic bookkeeping that they would want much more from this accounting software.

Sage One Accounts is very suitable for a small business that wants a simple interface to day to day tasks such as entering invoices or payments whilst leaving the more complicated accounting tasks to their bookkeeper using the Accountants version. But if you are looking for a full featured cloud based accounts package then Sage One Accounts Extra is the one to go for.

This online accounting software is not cluttered with tools that freelancers and micro companies do not require. It is simple accounting software bundled with project tracking, task management, collaboration and payment processing. Sage One is a clever adaptation to traditional accounting software.

Sage One Accounts Extra is a versatile software package that is suitable for SMEs. It deserves credit for attempting to respond to the changing needs of UK businesses, especially for those with overseas aspects to their businesses, and those running more than one company. Sage One Accounts Extra affordable, accessible from any internet-connected computer, boasts a wealth of features that make it suitable for a range of businesses and business sizes.

Although the product is currently targeted at end users and not accountants (yet), we encourage you to stay tuned as this product builds out additional functionality within its integrated toolset over the coming months and years.

The way we operate with the SAGE One application is already proving successful with the business receiving multiple requests each day. We’ve found that is makes running a business a lot calmer and cuts down on administrative time.
We believe that it really offers greater efficiency and creates opportunities for company expansion.
Simon Handby, on Expert Reviews
An easy-to-use accounts service for business newcomers, but it's too simple for larger firms.
Alan Stevens, on Business Computing World
Sage One is worth looking at and could meet the accounting needs of a lot of small businesses and new start-ups. The emphasis in Sage One is very much on simplicity, with little or no assumption of either accounting knowledge or IT expertise.
