The user interface is mostly intuitive, and is attractive.Since we started using Workfront, visibility of project progress has been dramatically improved across our Professional Service teams. I traffic manage the workload of six teams, each with members distributed across the EMEA region and Workfront is the tool that has enabled me to manage this effectively, gradually improving processes, and hence efficiency.Document storage and Centralised communication have helped improve efficiency both within teams and across teams, and post-project reporting has helped refine processes.
Clarizen offers a complete project management solution for small to mid enterprises. It is a well-planned, well-built system with nominal quirks.
Working on the big projects is not an easy task. Therefore, the task management tool matters. Planio is the one that could be considered for project managers, for teams, and for start-ups. This tool promises no installation, no set-up costs and no long-term commitments. The good thing about it is that Planio supports a lot of task management models. In particular, agile projects with Scrum and Kanban or sequential planning using the Waterfall Model are supported. It is possible to build the roadmaps providing summary project information via a dashboard interface. Planio offers 14 separate apps in total, so everyone can choose the right one for the particular project. Apps could be activated at any time, so it is possible to keep the things simple. Here you will find very good bug tracker. However, there are no default values. The user needs to define a lot of details, e.g. components, statuses, priorities. You can set the milestones and work with the auto-generated Gantt Chart. There is also files, calendar and wiki support. There is also Google Calendar integration. Planio is deeply integrated with GitHub. It is possible to specify that the commit is connected to the bug or even to close the bug with the commit. It is possible to view the file tree and the commit history for every bug. The manager can assign a role for each team member. The roles are highly configurable, so every team member could have his own responsibilities. The time spent on projects is also tracked. The user can use the stopwatch for tracking the time and enter some comments about time spent on the particular issue.

ActiveCollab is different from many of the other software listed as it is ONLY available as a stand alone install, meaning you purchase a license, download and install on a server, and work on it yourself. This is good for a number of reasons, and may cause some concerns.More about Active Collab

Ease-of-useThe ease of use for timesheet input for employees was so-so. The ease of use for billing/invoicing was very difficult.FunctionalityIt met our needs for for time tracking. It didn't for invoicing/using overhead rates, etc.Product QualityIf you are in IT, it's probably good. I'm very disappointed in anaconda version not meeting our needs.Customer SupportIt was great when they were charging us an extra fee per year for support. After that, even if we found a bug (and we found a lot), it was very difficult getting answers quickly; it took days of back and forth.Likes BestI like that it's cloud-based.Likes LeastIt's difficult to get set up, but it's geared more for IT/software than for professional service/engineering. They increased our annual renewal rate by 700% and gave us less than 2 week notice to renew. You can't see the budget hours easily when viewing the tasks or logging time. Yes it is project management but the way licensing works along with a lack of customization (I just want to see the tasks I am assigned) make this tool the most convoluted and stressful part of my job. Why can't I receive an email when I have a new task? I can't pin open the sidebar navigation so i am constantly opening it to figure out what I need to go to.
