Wistia Use Cases and Deployment ScopeOur company and my consulting [practice] utilize Wistia in a couple of different ways. The company I currently work for uses the online video hosting platform for customer testimonials and product overviews. The marketing department is the main part of the company that uses the hosting platform. We use Wistia to send visual information via email marketing campaigns and product pages on the website. Our target market is largely male. Therefore, visual learning or visual retention of information is huge.
Pros : Excellent playback option.Good controls for embedding video on the web and email marketing platforms.Solid integration with HubSpot and Salesforce.com.
Cons : Make more learning videos in the "Learning Center" because I really really enjoy learning videos from the professionals.

Wistia Use Cases and Deployment ScopeWe are using Wisita for hosting our company videos. It provides us with analytics on our videos that we could not get with video services such as YouTube. It also allows for customization and call-to-actions with our videos which is incredibly useful.
Pros : Very easy to use.Nice customization capabilities.Excellent analytics.
Cons : Marketo integration. It's not as easy as some competitors like Vidyard.Missing the ability to block a range of IP addresses. Have to input each individually.

Wistia Use Cases and Deployment ScopeWe use Wistia internally to host all on-demand webinar recordings and any videos that we produce. Since it integrates with HubSpot, it is an extremely valuable tool for us and allows us to learn more about our contacts. We also use it for clients.
Pros : Each video you upload is fully customizable, from the color of the player to which "share" buttons you'd like to include. The HubSpot integration is key, and so easy to set up.The call-to-action option is great - you can create short copy and a link that appears on the ending frame of your video.

If you are creating great video content, why not leverage those videos to their greatest potential. Wistia has a full set of professional features to take your videos to the next level. Marketing integrates naturally into the wistia infrastructure.
Pros : -user friendly -reporting features are easy to understand -integrates with Hubspot and other marketing platforms -optimized fast streaming -ability to email gate videos or add CTA's to the end
Cons : -sometimes so many features that it is hard to use it to fullest potential -can be expensive for the casual user with lots of videos

The nice thing about Wistia is that it allows you to track which of your videos are actually seen, which parts of viewed (or skipped, or rewatched), and by whom (or at least by which IP locations). The statistical part means that you can use this tracking to make better videos that have a higher engagement or a better conversion ratio. Another great thing that I like, which I do not get with the Vimeo Pro account, and which is also not possible on YouTube, is the ability to have a turnstile embedded within the video. This allows you to collect somebody's contact info partway through the video to watch the rest. You can also embed nice looking calls-to-action within the video itself, which is helpful for doing any sort of Marketing Automation. All in all, it's a great service, especially for small business owners. The cost is affordable, and the value you gain is quite high.
Pros : Stats, stats and more stats! Able to have a Turnstile (to request a viewer's contact info) Can create a Call to Action Easy to Embed in a Website Affordable Lots of areas to customize
Cons : Cannot really think of any cons. It would be great if it were more seamlessly integrated into GetDrip. Another thing that I see with my ScreenFlow (screen capture software for Mac), is that I can click "Publish To" and send the rendered video directly to YouTube and Vimeo. It'd save me time if I could also publish directly to Wistia.
