Overall, TripIt offers a wonderful, unique service to travels, helping them get organized without really lifting a finger. It's also unique in that it doesn't have any noteworthy direct competitors, however, and I wonder if a little competition would actually put more pressure on the TripIt team to make some new headway and keep TripIt lively. The app does a fine job, but it has potential to do so much more and improve in a few areas. Download TripIt, use it for automatic itinerary organization, and let's all cross our fingers that it gets even better with age.

Overall, TripIt is a cleanly designed itinerary manager that deserves a look if you are planning a trip of any kind.

If you use a travel agent or similar service to plan and monitor all of your travel, perhaps you don't need TripIt. But if you don't already have someone else handling the grunt work for you, TripIt is an incredibly useful and free service and app. Every single time that I travel, I find myself using and appreciating this app.

If you travel frequently or find yourself overwhelmed with keeping track of flight information and reservations for vacations, TripIt is a must have. For those who travel constantly, TripIt makes mapping out your trips painless and is well worth the $49 a year price tag to track virtually everything you'd need as well as receive notifications on the go. Before planning your next vacation, definitely give TripIt a look when it comes time for keeping track of all those bookings and reservations.

I can only recommend Tripit if you have simple, common or garden-variety flight itineraries. It cannot handle complications.
The idea that Tripit wants me to poke around on my device, sometimes entering obscure airport codes, multiple legs and so on, in the promise of organizing my travel is bizarre. It needs to be automatic and universal. Otherwise, what's the point?

I've been using the free version of TripIt for years as a way to keep track of the reservation details of flights, hotels, and car rentals. It's brilliantly simple – you take the confirmation emails that you receive when you make your reservation and simply forward it to "firstname.lastname@example.org". It recognizes your sender email address and automatically parses out all of the information and builds an itinerary for your trip.

In summary, Tripit works exactly as advertised. The interface is clean and attractive; the app itself is functional and minimalistic in nature. I used TripIt for an entire month while I was on vacation, and during that time I did not feel the need to login to the website even once. I set up TripIt so it periodically scanned my Gmail inbox for new plans, and I didn’t even need to glance back at anything other than what was available from the app.

If you're constantly on the go - and in the air as often as on the ground - it's time to download TripIt. The app sets out to make travel plans feel more like an extra day of toes in the sand. Never again will you feel the horror that overcomes travelers as they scour their manila folder of confirmation receipts at the check-in desk.

If you travel for business, I highly recommend TripIt. It is easy to use and really simplifies managing your travel stuff. It is a solid work horse and does its job extremely well. That's why I love this app and that's why I wanted to share it with you! Let me know if you have other apps that make the life of a business travel easier.
