  • I've always had reasons in the past to stay away from Spotify, due to one irritating issue or another. This version of Spotify for iPhone is a huge improvement and shakes off most of my past complaints. Minus a few small quirks, Spotify did a great job this time around. I only wish the same could be said about the iPad app.

  • Spotify is still the undisputed king of streaming, and its reign doesn't look like ending soon with these recent updates.

  • One thing I really like about Spotify is that it makes it easy to music surf.Add to that, regardless of whether you intend to integrate other applications with it, Spotify by itself has a lot to offer, especially in the Premium version.

    Spotify is an amazing way to listen to music. You have access to a huge database of music, can build your own playlists or listen to other people's, and follow what your friends and favorite artists are listening to. There are different subscription levels to choose from - the free option includes ads every few songs, whereas with the paid version there are no ads, and with the premium version there are no ads, also you can download songs to listen to offline too.andnbsp;

    Pros :

    • It's quick and easy to find the music you're looking for, and add songs to your playlists or queue them to play next. You can share playlists with other people, or collaborate on playlists together. There are plenty of genres and playlists users can listen to, depending on what mood you're in. You can also follow your mates to see what they're listening to. The interface is clean and easy to use.
    • With the premium edition, you can download playlists and albums to listen to offline.
    • One of the best features is discovery. Spotify uses the music you currently listen to suggest other songs you might like. It's actually really good - I enjoy the suggestions and have discovered some really great artists this way! There's also a 'radio' option that plays specific genres .
    • The multi-device capabilities are also slick and work well - you can easily switch between phone and laptop, etc. You can also listen to local files through Spotify, and add them to playlists alongside the music you're streaming.andnbsp;
    • The service is reliable, quick, and easy to use.

    Cons :

    • Not all music is available on Spotify - some high profile artists have chosen to not make their music available for streaming on this platform.
    • As it's a streaming service, if you cancel your account you lose access to the music.

I love Spotify! It's so easy to discover new music, create playlists for every conceivable situation, share music with friends, get alerts when your favorite artists are doing something new, and just fall into a rabbit hole of finding and listening to new things. The paid version is one hundred percent worth the ten dollars a month.

    Pros :

    • Sharing and collaborative playlists: I use this feature all the time. Especially if I'm, for instance, going on a trip with a bunch of people-- I'll create a playlist, invite everyone to participate, and easily create a huge stack of music that everyone likes.
    • I can't believe how accurate Discover Weekly has been. I've found tons of new artists I like, but Spotify has also dug up old bands I used to love in high school and have since forgotten about. I don't know how they do it, but it's great.
    • Spotify radio is my new favorite way to discover new music. It doesn't work that well with my Sonos speakers, but it's gotten better in the last year or so. It's also fun to be able to browse through public playlists from total strangers
    • Making playlists available offline is a huge plus.
    • My phone has terrible memory, so I can't just keep all of my playlists with me at all times, but it's definitely enough music to last me for a long time.
    • Gone are the days of painstakingly downloading music track by track. I enjoy the easy access to trivia and information about the music I'm listening to.

    Cons :

    • I'm still getting used to the new Songza-style Spotify-made playlists that just got added--they don't narrow down the genres enough for me to be sure I'll get something I don't hate.
    • It's great that I can get my favorite podcasts on Spotify, but the UI is kind of hard to figure out when I'm doing that through Sonos. (Generally, integration with Sonos still needs work, but the results are definitely worth the effort of learning how to get them to cooperate.)

I love the concept of Spotify. It's great to be able to pay just $5/10 dollars a month and have access to 90% of all the music out there. While I wish the sound quality were better, and Taylor Swift, Adele, etc., were on there, it's an amazing service for the low cost.

    Pros :

    • Being able to have a wide variety to an incredible amount of music.
    • Also being able to share and collaborate on playlists with friends is a huge plus.

    Cons :

    • CRASHING! Desktop and mobile this app crashes a bunch for me.

Spotify is one of the top and the best music streaming apps, and is an excellent companion for work, running, exercising, parties, working around the house, cleaning the garage, and basically any other activity that people do. The catalog of music is expansive, often including almost every album that artists have released, including many newly released albums and tracks. It's extremely easy to use, even for the most critically technology challenged person. Playlists are easily assembled with a simple drag and drop, and then can be accessed on the run. Spotify’s already assembled playlists are almost a never-ending solution to finding new music and exploring new artists. The Spotify Premium costs the same as two lattes per month, but then I don’t have to hear the advertisements. Instead, I can stream music anytime, which is a game changer for road trips. Overall, Spotify is an awesome music app.

    Pros :

    • Spotify is easy to use, easy to access, and is one of the top music streaming apps.
    • One of the pros is the ability to listen to an entire album. When other music streaming apps may only play popular songs or their top hits through a “radio” feature, I appreciate how with Spotify I can listen to the entire album.
    • Another pro is how users can share music with their friends through social media. I can easily allow others including my Facebook friends, to see what I am listening to, and I can see what they are listening to as well.
    • Such an easy way to explore new music and share artists.

    Cons :

    • One of the cons is the ads. They are not too frequent, but they come on especially during the play mode from a mobile device. But having some ads is easy to deal with when one can listen to millions of songs.

There was sometimes when people used to tune the radio to listen to songs which were the talk of town. Then came iPod when people inserted hands-free on their iPod shuffle to listen to them which was followed by the sensational YouTube allowing us to view the breath-taking songs before our very eyes. The next 'big thing' is definitely Spotify giving the thumbs up to mobile radio. We have to only download the application, run it, subscribe and listen to the endless high-quality audio. My experience was a tad different. I was a little bit shy when it came to giving away my credit card details to anyone especially online. My friends suggested me Spotify so I went down the road asking strangers whether they heard of Spotify or not. All replied in the affirmative, so I myself gave it a shot. I was amazed and relieved to find out that only those rates mentioned were deduced, and now I became assured that it was safe. Spotify is amazing as a sound guru. I am a music enthusiast, and I find it providing top notch quality and great acoustics. Spotify breathed life into my playlist providing the best songs from varying genres. Spotify had previews of songs so you could gather what type of music the song provides. We also have the ability to let it observe the on playing song at any place such as the train station or even at a party, requiring nothing but internet access. The interface is catchy with the lime green and matte black colors and the songs perfectly adjusted to it. One major drawback, there are continuous ads unless you subscribe to remove them which to some might be expensive. There is a radio which we can tune upon as well.

    Pros :

    • Great Interface.
    • Top quality sound.

    Cons :

    • Ads might irritate the free listeners.

For a music enthusiast, nothing beats Spotify. Its depth in terms of content and selection are quite exquisite. Anyone can easily search for any song they might have heard over on the radio over and over again until he hates it. The searching options are quite simple and handy as well. The service is remarkable although to some it may seem expensive. Spotify does not only provide music, but it shows us our choice, our taste, our type of music in accordance to which songs do we listen to. Whether it's Taylor Swift or Michael Jackson, almost all the songs are present. There is a free version present too, but you can only listen to selected songs and not search and play songs to your desire although on the desktop version, you can skip as many songs as you like.

    Pros :

    • Categorized.
    • You can find categories such as pop 100.
    • Vast library.
    • Simplistic and clean UI.

    Cons :

    • Sometimes buggy.
    • Certain songs are missing.
    • Ads.
    • Expensive.

Very good for streaming the music on-the-go when on a computer but as one uses the mobile, the ability to search is lost. A decent amount of artists is available although a much greater artists could be saved as is the case with other more popular streaming applications. Talking about sound quality, no other can come close to its might. It could be made better and has a lot of potentials to wipe away the probable threats completely. Spotify already has a large enough audience, and all it needs to do is keep them satisfied. The ads too can be annoying for free subscribers.

    Pros :

    • The GUI is simple and straight-forward which enables easy surfing.
    • The sound quality beats any other application available. Available cross-platform.

    Cons :

    • Not very vast library although almost all major artists are present.
    • The ads can be annoying.

Spotify is the ultimate tool for listening to and discovering new music (unless you’re looking for Taylor Swift). It’s easy to use and has an abundance of well-known and yet-to-be-discovered artists. Apple Music simply can’t compare. The premium version is recommended if you’re going to be streaming music in an office setting to avoid commercials.

    Pros :

The user interface is simple to use and clean. Even without the premium version, you can play specific songs and skip an unlimited amount of times on the desktop version. You also have access to endless curated playlists, new releases and a library with every genre of music known to man. You can also create and share your own playlists easily. You can even make your playlists collaborative so that your friends can add songs as well. However, you also have the option to make a playlist private. You can build your own or use the numerous Spotify playlists for inspiration when building your own. It also has a new feature that recommends songs and artists for you based on what you’ve listened to. It really does everything for you. You can even find a playlist based on the day of the week, time of day and your mood. It also has a radio feature that doesn’t tie you down to a specific playlist. I use it every day in the office. Spotify makes it quick and easy to find the perfect song to complement the task I’m working on.

    Cons :

When compared to other platforms, Spotify does have an extensive library of artists. However, there are some who have pulled their music. Obviously, the ads can be quite annoying when you’re using the free version. On the mobile version, you don’t have the option of choosing a particular song to listen to, which isn’t ideal. There are also sometimes weird glitches where a song doesn't play, but you just have to restart the program.

Spotify took off with the social sharing of activity on Facebook: [your friend] is listening to [song title] on Spotify. This social aspect is still a part of the app, but definitely not the primary reason I use it. It has a full selection of songs and what makes it great, is the way it can continuously play music, like a customized radio station. You can continuously listen to a particular artist, genre, playlist or manually customize your own playlist. That's the real secret to what makes Spotify so popular. But the breaks in the continuous play for ads is what sucks. So they created a problem, and you got to pay to fix that problem. Fair enough. I used to be a premium member, more so to listen to Spotify on my mobile, but I just don't want to pay the $9.95/m, so I either listen to YouTube playlists, iTunes podcasts or listen til I get fed up with the ads. Another cool thing, is that SoundHound integrates with Spotify, Meaning you can use SoundHound to track down a song you're randomly listening to while out and about, then save that to your SoundHound Spotify playlist, and when you go back to Spotify on your computer or mobile, you can listen to all the neat new songs you found again! I like the dark interface, it's calming then a bright beaming interface. Music is relaxing, so it goes along with that feeling. You can also follow artists to be alerted to when new tracks of theirs are released on Spotify. One annoying thing is that you're often asked to restart Spotify because a new version has been released... this feels like it happens every time I open up Spotify. I just want to listen without interruption.

    Pros :

    • Vast selection of music.
    • Automaticcurated and manually created playlists.
    • Wide variety of ways to browse and find music.
    • Integration with SoundHound.

    Cons :

    • Ads.
    • Not all music is there, many good tracks are missing.

Spotify is a great product for listening to and discovering new music. I use it throughout each work day and would recommend it to anyone who’s looking to expand what they’re currently listening to or just wants to find their favorite tracks. A premium account would be great for a business if you’re looking to play music over a sound system or throughout an office.

Pros : I like that with Spotify, you can play songs without purchasing them and have access to curated playlists, new album releases and a large library of music with every genre imaginable. One of my favorite things is that you can create your own playlists and easily add songs to each different list. You can make the playlist collaborative so that your friends or people who follow your account can add songs themselves. Or, if you’d rather be the only person who can edit the playlist, people can simply follow your playlist or you can send them a link to listen. You can also find great playlists on spotify like “Road Trip Songs” or “90s Pop Hits” if you need some inspiration. Since Spotify has a mobile app, if you have a premium account you can listen to your playlists and control which songs you listen to on the go. If you don’t have a premium account, you can listen to the playlist but it will play on shuffle and with commercials.

Cons : Spotify has an extensive music library but there are some artists that have pulled their music from the platform or refuse to put some of their albums on it. You’ll hear commercials every couple of songs unless you upgrade to a Pro account. Spotify sometimes has weird glitches/quirks such as songs pausing or audio going out and you might have to restart it or update to the latest version if you’re experiencing any issues.
