Michael Milstead, on Site Builder Report
WebStarts offers an easy-to-use builder and a fair bit of customization for those hoping to stick with a free account. Unfortunately, it ends there. Too much control is given in unnecessary areas. Non-features and unclear premium incentives seem to exist only to seem competitive against other services who are more upfront with their pricing. With outdated themes and a struggling feature list to begin with, maybe even free isn’t such a great value in this case. I’d recommend skipping WebStarts and instead choosing a service that is more current in their design, thoughtful in execution, and upfront in pricing.
Webstarts is a multifunctional builder through which you can create any kind of site with least effort. It has a comprehensive collection of tools and features to help create and host a customized site.

While WebStarts prominently bills itself as a way for you to build your own free website, the free plan is quite limited in scope. You only get five webpages, you can’t use a custom domain, and there is only 10MB of storage. It is really only when you upgrade to the full Pro+ plan that you unlock many of the big features in WebStarts.
Even so, WebStarts is a great place to build a robust website, complete with hundreds of fonts and templates, and all without any need for technical expertise.
Daniel Threlfall, on CMS Critic
We like WebStarts, because it's a powerful CMS that is within reach of just about anyone. Business owners can create their own e-commerce site, and look great doing it. With the easy-to-use interface and customizability, WebStarts should be high on the consideration list for those who want a budget-friendly alternative to an agency site, and who want the accessibility of a drag-and-drop editor.
Shel Gatto, on AppAppeal
WebStarts is a valuable tool for anyone who wants to create a web page but has no experience or design knowledge. The application makes building attractive pages quick and hassle-free. Users can drop many elements onto pages, including functional items such as forms and slideshows. Three subscription plans offer access suitable for any purpose. Even the high end plan is economical for casual users and comes with many attractive features.

Webstarts has a lot of potential as a site builder, but there are things they absolutely need to take care of. First of all, an overwhelming number of users were hit with surprise fees, or mischarges, and have problems getting them refunded. Also way, way too many features cost. - See more at: http://www.websiteplanet.com/review/webstarts/#sthash.cy7a1T5I.dpuf
From Web Builders Guide
WebStarts comes across as a refreshing and fully dependable service, with its free and paid versions of its intuitive drag and drop styles website builder. Being a terrific blend of simplicity and customizability, WebStarts is easily among the most lucrative options for those looking to venture into eCommerce, or website management for other purposes. If you’re looking to solely depend on the free website builder, you might find yourself unable to explore the real powers of a website.
From Servers Review
Unless you want to spend years learning everything there is to know about building a website, WebStarts is a good place to go. WebStarts offers a staggering number of features and offers them at a very good price. If you have ever wanted to build a web page for any reason, using WebStarts is about the best way you can get started.
