  • In my business, I started using Microsoft's Office suite of products to manage my customer base. Then I started using QuickBook's customer center's system to manage client information, but neither of those solutions really helped. I then started looking online for systems that can handle my needs. I first signed up with HubSpot to use their CRM system and I loved their Sidekick program that allowed me to see who opened my emails that I sent them. But their CRM is limited and so I asked a number of clients, friends and family for recommendations on the CRM they use and many small businesses came back with Zoho's CRM platform. The system is great and has many add-on modules that are either inexpensive or free to add to your account helping with your business. From being able to see the social brand strength on your social networks to being able to monitor tickets and other essential business tools, Zoho has you covered.

    Pros : social monitoring tools, ease of use

    Cons : Getting started is not so easy

  • Zoho CRM Use Cases and Deployment ScopeI use zoho in all aspects of my organization and I love it. I use Zoho CRM, Books, Campaigns and Sites. I have also used zoho Project. I love the affordability and the massive amounts of functionality at the fingertips of small businesses like mine.

    Pros : Highly customizable. They let you change the CSS in zoho Sites! Zoho CRM is highly customizable and just has amazing functionality.zoho Systems integrate very well together so you can pick and choose which tools match your business needs and put them together.zoho is always rolling out new functionality. Just yesterday they rolled out integration of Zoho Books with Square as a payment receiving application. I am delighted.

    Cons : I can't see any weaknesses for the value for the money.

  • Zoho is a very comprehensive, easy to use and relatively inexpensive solution. It's a great solution for organizations that are serious about establishing a comprehensive process for tracking and managing all contact / client communications.

    Zoho was a great experience for my company and me. We were able to use almost all its capabilities. Zoho is a very reliable system, you hardly find it out of service. I developed my company from scratch using Zoho, so I used several components of the Zoho suite. Remember Zoho is free (some modules might have charges) and you can create a user really quick. Zoho has a very good customer service team behind you. Any questions or concerns, it is just a matter of raising them, and someone will be with you really quick.

    Configuring Zoho was really simple, If you follow the procedures and steps outlined in their help section, you can easily setup all the tools. Zoho allows you to track all your employees in its system, develop org chart and use those relationships for approval workflows whenever required.

    What I most like about zoho is that I can do it everything, develop my own ideas and flows and add the necessary interaction to make it happen. I really feel the architect of my company and can translate that into the system.

    Zoho interface is really simple, it has Google colors, so if you are familiar with Google, this system is for you. It has been a great experience using zoho, I really recommend the use of this tool to anybody that has a small or medium business. It is really helpful to monitor everything from there. You just use a Single Sign On login Id and with that ID you enter all the different modules of the tool, that is amazing! You don't have to guess passwords! You can also manage the security you want your modules to have, so it is pretty aligned to what is happening around the globe. If you have any questions or concerns about this tool, just contact me!

    Easy to get started with low-cost investment a small start-up business can get started for as little to nothing as long as they are willing to put in a few hours of work. Easy to view and organize interface to see a list of leads, contacts, and companies you are working with.

    Fairly easy to customize the module fields to input words that are specific to your industry as well as organize it in such a way to be easy to find fields. For example, I have a service based industry and custom fields can include clients, active prospects, non-active customer/prospects, vendors, and much much more. I regularly try to add more fields to sources of leads and clients because I have affiliates to link to. So very easy to customize. If you're just starting up, this is one of the best tools you can invest into, all it takes is some time and if you have some extra money to invest per month you can unlock quite a few more features.

    I'm in the marketing field, and I always recommend a CRM of sorts including Zoho to clients for a way to organize their customer and contact database, by doing so you can smoother operations, follow up with leads and clients, and easy access to a lot of online video tutorials. You can then grow with Zoho with many add-on services that easily integrates with the main CRM system.

    Pros :

    • My biggest thing is that even on the free license plan you have access to their mobile app. That is huge for me and for small start-up businesses.
    • Customization features and modules are fairly easy to work with, but you don't have to be super technologically advanced to actually handle the customizations.
    • There are multiple apps for the multiple extensions that they have which help for when you are on the go.

    Cons :

    • The only downside I would say is that not all the extensions can be accessed from the CRM system, but they do integrate with each other.

    Zoho has a lot to offer in terms of connecting individuals with companies, several individuals with companies, companies with companies, etc. There are other solid rivals, but Zoho is second to none, except to InfusionSoft. Honestly, the only thing I believe it does better than InfusionSoft is Zoho's self-integration software family the CRM is part of. SalesForce and Insightly are two other competitors worth mentioning.

    I think for the average user, some of these web apps on the market today could overwhelm them. Zoho has seemed to be one of the less confusing in the CRM industry, and that's a conclusion I have made based on talking to others who use the software and are at different tech savvy levels of comfort. Most CRM's take time, and patients because they each have their own terminology/lingo within their systems.

    If you're adventurous, you could even head over to CodeCanyon.net and check out some of the very affordable self-hosted platform CRM's that are quite impressive, to say the least.

    Pros :

    • Customization: You can customize the modules, fields, layouts, reports, etc.
    • Easy integration with their other products.
    • Well priced based on competitor rates Workflow, Opportunity, Data, Quotes, Email, and Orders Management.
    • Mobile Friendly: This CRM is very mobile friendly, so whether you're at your desk, on the road with a laptop, or out and about with a smart phone or tablet, you'll experience an easy to navigate the system.

    Cons :

    • Doesn't integrate well with WordPress sites from my experience System is moderately difficult to use, and most normal end users will get frustrated with this one UX look seems neglected.
    • Average user may have a small learning curve, but should be okay.

    We use Zoho for several of our business processes and to keep all our systems centralized. Zoho is so easy to set up and customize for your marketing, sales and case tracking efforts. It has the ability to integrate with various services and build dashboards/reporting as-needed. It seems you can do just about anything to Zoho CRM to automate a business process.

    Pros :

    • Ability to visualize exactly what is happening for our business and our client's businesses in real time.
    • Save money over competing services, and allows you to pay monthly per user vs. quarterly or yearly.

    Cons :

    • You get the occasional crash/downtime but overall works most of the time.
    • Support is there, but it is not US-based and sometimes not high quality. They do seem to try hard when you need it, though.
    • If you need 100% support, you may want to pay more for other services.

    Zoho is a very cost effective platform, especially for new business owners. I initially signed up for Zoho to build my website. The software is very user-friendly and uses drag-and-drop functionality making building a website an easy process, especially for those who aren’t tech or computer savvy. You are limited to the amount of pages you can create in the free version of Zoho, but I was able to upload and format all my content. After building my website, I realized I needed to automate and streamline certain business processes such as collecting information for website visitors, sending and receiving emails and creating and scheduling email templates.

    Zoho has a great customer relationship management or CRM system that offers all the basic features needed to keep track of your audience and engage them in conversation. I use it to collect new leads, convert leads to potential clients and store business contacts. You may need to update your subscription to adapt to the complexity of your business processes, however, the enterprise subscription is still affordable especially if you're using the additional features. There are several other products offered on the Zoho platform as well.   

    Pros :

    • The cost of the platform is reasonable and very user-friendly.
    • The support offered by Zoho is very helpful and convenient.
    • Several questions that I had were answered via email. One question I had, had to be resolved over the phone. Although in this particular instance, my issue did not get resolved right away, the representative did follow up with me regarding resolution.

    Cons :

    • The only downside to Zoho is I haven’t found someone who is able to perform SEO optimization for my site because they didn’t understand the system that well.
    • The web forms are also not the most flexible, they’re pretty basic but captures the basic information you’d want from a new user or subscriber.
