  • SalesforceIQ has been a decent CRM, I've used it both doing Business Development myself and extracting data to do analytics on our business development. We put a lot of time into looking for the right tool and it seems like all CRMs (Zoho, Streak, Close.io, ...) all have their good sides and bad sides: sfIQ is strong on allowing a customizable sales process for each pipeline.

Pros : They've been really responsive to feature requests, though the follow up that those features have actually been built hasn't be as good. The sfIQ Google Chrome extension is really helpful and allows you to use much of the functionality of sfIQ in gmail and elsewhere.

Cons : Occasionally sfIQ is really slow. It works excellently on super fast internet connections but on desktop wifi in the field it can get annoying, that's less of a problem with the native mobile apps. The automatic info it adds on companies is more often garbage than not, and it's not edible, which isn't awesome. Their more expensive plans are really expensive: those get you great support, but the product is still just as satisfactory.

  • If your team’s workflow is strongly email centric, and you’re having trouble keeping everything together, SalesforceIQ is a great CRM app to try. It’ll help you keep all the conversations together, giving you the best possible view of your team’s interactions with each of your clients’ teams.

  • RelateIQ is designed for professionals in any industry within small, medium and large businesses alike. The app is suitable for sales teams, community managers, customer success reps and account managers who need a better way to manage and track the communications and contact details of their professional relationships. The app can be used by an entire team or just one person.

I'm using this app every day at work. I have the chrome extension that sits in the top right corner and left-hand side of my Gmail email composition window. On the top right is a small button that allows me to merely click in order to associate an incoming or outgoing email with a specific lead or contact. Prior to this app, I used to manually import all of my received emails into the appropriate lead or contact profile - this wasted astronomical amounts of time in the name of data integrity in an effort to create a complete story for each of my deals.

Overall, I have loved this app. It has saved me unbelievable amounts of time and made my life a lot easier. I remember that receiving emails used to feel like a three step process; Read, Log, and Respond. Now, like the rest of the world, I get to focus all of my attention on reading and responding instead of clicking 20 buttons in order to log the message. There are more features to this app, I will go into them in the pros section

    Pros :

    • The ability to log an incoming or outgoing message at the touch of two buttons.
    • The ability to set a Salesforce follow-up task for 1 week after sending in the case that the lead or contact does not answer. I used to have to do this by logging into Salesforce, finding the appropriate profile, clicking "create task", and then modifying appropriately the task to read what I needed it to read. Now I can simply elect to click an icon that sets this follow-up task for me and only if I don't receive a response. I love that. It's so easy.
    • Read Receipts: I love this. I had an app dedicated to this purpose prior to Salesforce I1s Chrome extension, when that came along I was able t get rid of an old app and keep it all in the Salesforce family. andnbsp;

    Cons :

    • None that I can think of.

Recently, at my new company, we started using Salesforce IQ within our Gmail emails. We have been using Salesforce IQ for a handful of aspects, including tracking emails, understanding when someone opens our email, tying the emails back to Salesforce, providing times we are free to chat and sending emails out at a future time. I've been using Salesforce (the CRM) for over 5 years now, but Salesforce IQ tied to my email has made life much easier. Now, I don't need to to tie emails back to the account/lead/contact through the BCC "emailtosalesforce/...." which is nice. Along with that, I can specify how I want the tracking to work, and whether I want to tie it to the contact, the opportunity, or (if for some reason) we have multiple options on the email itself.

    Pros :

    • Tracking: Being able to see who and when someone opens an email is a huge benefit when it comes to sales. The Salesforce IQ application gives the sales team insight into how emails are working, and when we should follow up.
    • Timing: one of the most tedious aspects of following up with prospects (or even contacts) is sending over times that you are available to speak, connect or demo. With the Salesforce IQ application, you can plug times directly into the email based on times you are free (synced to your work calendar).
    • Creating contacts/leads in SFDC: Salesforce IQ allows you to create new leads/contacts in Salesforce when they do not exist.

    Cons :

    • Creating new contacts/leads - sometimes when you create a contact or lead (straight from Gmail), it doesn't allow you to edit the contact/lead right there. The problem with this, is that you end up creating a new point being - x - "contact@aol.com" x - First Name - contact@aol.com x - Last name - ______ x - email - contact@aol.com.
    • You cannot edit the subject lines in which it goes into Salesforce. With a long string, you end with a handful of "Re: xxxxx" when it would be nice to edit (from the source) and change it to "EE - meeting with management this week"
