  • A great sales management solution

    This may not have the potential and power to handle larger companies. But for startups and small businesses, this is a tremendous offering even if it just helps you refine and implement a sales process and system. In my opinion one of the best features is that it more or less forces you to add a new activity as soon as you complete the last task. Which I think is important because it keeps the focus on activity and off getting lucky or hoping the deal closes.

    Pros : - Good interface - Drag and drop - Plenty of features to get started - See pipeline graphs and data easily

    Cons : - Doesn't have a recurring product estimator, only fixed price deals (would be really helpful to know if a deal is positive ROI based on Lifetime Value etc)

    My sole CRM and Deal Tracking system

    Fresh out of the box, PIPEDRIVE did all the heavy lifting for my new business. For me, its a full service CRM, DEAL and ACTIVITY TRACKING system. Keeps me focused, aware and accountable.

    Pros : Immediately accessible. Customizable. Integrates with PandaDoc. One stop shopping: no need for additional software or apps to track my business.

    Cons : Customizing column headers and data inside existing fields (IE DETAILS) could be easier. Its not intuitive for me....at all. Its tricky and difficult to get the columns to reflect my business terms. But I spend time with the online tutorials...they help. Would be great to be able to have a 1/2 hour free consultation ONE MONTH after starting to use PipeDrive. And then to be able to have more online sessions w/an actual person, for a fee, if needed. Thank you.

    Great App - not just for sales...

    I use this app to help track conversations whilst looking for a new job- helps me remember the last conversations I had, when to make another call or email and keep on top of all the activities that I have done. What is really good about it is that it works seamlessly across devices - phone, iPad, PC, mac. their customer response is also amazing.

    Pros : Seamlessly works across devices

    Cons : the dashboard could be a bit more flexible and customisable - but that really is just a request rather than a con!

  • Close more deals with Pipedrive

    Pipedrive Use Cases and Deployment ScopeWe started using Pipedrive CRM for our sales activities in last quarter of 2014. I use Pipedrive to manage activities with prospects and our sales team. Every time we have a new prospect, we add it to Pipedrive and define the right pipeline for them. As we continue working with prospects, we keep changing the stages in pipelines until we close the deal (WON or LOST). We also rely on Pipedrive to get our sales reporting and business development team performance.

    Pros : Pipeline and Stages: Pipedrive helps with maintaining the exact status where we are with a prospect. For example, when I start communicating with a prospect, I will put them in a Pipeline named "Unqualified

    Cons : When we close a deal by marking "WON or LOST", All the activities regarding that deal, still stay in active mode. But I think the activities either should be closed automatically or I should see a popup with an activity list of that specific deal, SO I can close myself.CSV Import is a great feature. But if Pipedrive can also add a screen like a spreadsheet view, so we can add multiple contact details directly in Pipedrive, that would be helpful. In that case I don't need to first type it into a

    Pipedrive Use Cases and Deployment ScopePipedrive has allowed us to take our loosely informal sales process and put a solid cloud based framework to it.  Pipedrive reduces the number of e-mails related to sales activities by half.  Missed or forgotten follow-up is a thing of the past as Pipedrive does not allow you to let things slip.  Using Pipedrive doubles your sales efforts...period.

    Pipedrive for Sales and Contact Management is Great

    Pipedrive Use Cases and Deployment ScopeI used Pipedrive in a sales capacity to keep track of key accounts and identify where they were in the sales cycle.  In a separate project, my supervisor and I used Pipedrive in conjunction to keep track of all communication (in-person, email, telephone) either of us had with business prospects.  This proved an excellent way to keep us both informed of how certain key relationships were developing and helped identify to us both simultaneously where we needed to increase efforts to reach out to potential business partners.

    Pros : I love the ability to add email communication directly into a prospect's record in real time. This is especially helpful if you have long sales cycles or multiple people working with a single account.Pipedrive is intuitive and easy to navigate.The ability to identify what a sale is worth and indicate goals etc is great. The visual graphic indicators of where you are versus your goal is extremely helpful.

    Cons : Customizing the stages to fit our needs was a little tricky in the beginning but we worked it out.Not everyone uses Pipedrive for "sales" its also a great way just to keep everyone informed about activity on a particular prospect - so maybe a way to take out the "sales" portion would be good

    What do you like best?

    I've been working in sales for almost 10 years. As of now I haven't seen more convenient system to organize leads and deals than Pipedrive.

    What do you dislike?

    It is not about like or dislike, is more about improvement.

    I think it would be very good if you can add a reading panel option, like in MS Outlook where you can pop-up the email in the different window or just click on the email and read in the reading panel, reply on your email etc, without switching to another screen. If you can implement the same - in the bottom or in the sides of thee screen - once you highlight the lead you can read and do editing in the panel, no need to open the lead. I am sure it will increase speed of working with leads and save some time (Money!!!) for us... Again - it must be an option. You like it -you use it. You don't - go to VIEW menu, and choose to off the reading panel.

    Pipedrive has allowed us to bring a framework around our sales process. It has reduced email volumes and automated follow-up actions.

    - Reduce email

    - Automate follow up

    - Increase collaboration

    What do you dislike?

    Pipedrive is still in it's infancy so features and functionality that you know will be there one day just aren't there yet.

    Think carefully about how you set up your pipelines before getting to deep into data accumulation.

    Ever contact clients over US Mail? Tough!

    What do you like best?

    For whatever reason, Pipedrive seems to be the only CRM software that (sort of) allows you to accurately upload contacts from an excel spreadsheet. I still ended up having to convert it to a .csv file to get it right, but that's till better than PayPanther, Nutshell, or (gag) Clio. So I'm not giving it a zero.

    What do you dislike?

    As simple as you might think it would be to design software that allows you to click on a few clients to whom you would like to send thank-you cards, holiday cards, or a newsletter, Pipedrive has found a special way to say that they don't care. Need to export 30 names out of your 300 contacts to excel so you can make labels? Well, make sure you make note of those thirty names on a piece of paper and then prepare to manually filter each individual name. Had plans this morning? Not any more, you don't! You have 150 holiday cards to send, time to get filtering.

    Someday, there will be CRM software designed by actual sales professionals, and not by IT professionals who have seen movies about what sales people probably do.

    Recommendations to others considering the product

    Solve Pipedrive's inability to be used as a practical sales tool and you are probably headed in the right direction.

    What business problems are you solving? What benefits have you realized?

    The problems I anm not solving with this software are staying top-of-mind with my relationships, clients, and former clients.

  • Pipedrive is off to a great start. Their recent success and impressive funding make me very hopeful for how Pipedrive will evolve. This is one CRM I will keep a close eye on as they develop.

  • This is a very sales focussed application and while it manages people and organisations passably it does not make any real pretences at being a full CRM.

  • What we liked:

    Users can drag and drop clients into new categories as their deals progress
    Red light/green light feature notifies users when they need to take action on a project
    Unreached goals automatically carry over to the next sales cycle
    Pipedrive backs up its users’ data on a daily basis

    What we didn’t like:

  • Pipedrive innovates with its whiteboard driven sales process which, now it has been transposed to the internet, can provide a flexible, focused and effective sales tool. It however misses an opportunity to make the life of Sales Person easier with tools aimed at giving him more insight into their prospects at each step. We hope to see Pipedrive evolve in this direction in the future.

  • Pipedrive is on the right track but we remain unconvinced that it’s up to par with the more established sales automation CRMs. The interface is fresh and convenient for a sales team but some important features are missing.

  • Pipedrive is sales management software that allows you to better visualize your sales process from start to close. Pipedrive is unlike any sales app I’ve ever seen, and it has an interesting and very cool approach. It’s huge amount of customizable features makes it powerful and incredibly useful. However, there are a couple of features I thought I’d see just based on what was already there that I didn’t see. There is also the pretty big bug they have with comma handling. That being said, if you’re a small-medium sized business serious about your sales, Pipedrive is definitely worth a look.
