How to Get Your Insightly Free Trial

Established in 2009 by Anthony Smith, Insightly is an affordable, powerful and easy-to-use CRM software application that is used by over 400,000 businesses worldwide. The software helps small businesses stay in touch with teammates, employees, and clients and provide a more streamlined and organized approach to handling crucial businesses and communications tasks. It also enables users to track projects, emails, orders, leads, notes, and milestones and features Google Apps Integration to make standard business tasks easier. Are you planning on using Insightly for managing projects and customer relationships? If so, follow these simple steps to get a free trial:

Step 1:

Enter https://www.insightly.com/ into the URL of your browser and explore the website to understand how to use the CRM software for successful project and customer-relationship management. Once figured out, click on the ‘Sign Up for a Free Trial’ option highlighted in red and positioned at the top right corner of the page to get started with the free trial process.

After clicking on the ‘Sign Up for a Free Trial’, you will be redirected to the ‘pricing’ page. Here you will find five different plans: Free, Basic, Plus, Professional, and Enterprise, each of which offers new upgrades and benefits. If you go with the free plan, you will get the most basic features. However, if you choose the more professional ones, you get a free 14-day trial to try out all features! So, click on the ‘Sign Up For a 14 Day Free Trial’ (highlighted in red) to move on with the signing up process and creating your free trial account.

For this step, all you have to do is enter your first name, last name, email address, organization name, the number of employees, type of business, and your phone number. Once completed, click on the next button to get your free trial and begin setting up your account!

  • Easy yet powerful CRM software for everyday use. We've tried 3 different CRMs and this is the first one that meets our needs. It helps us manage leads and tasks associated with them. No learning curve.

    Pros : - Email feature - Mobile app is the best app ever - Reminders - Email integrations

    Cons : - No auto-save when creating leads, tasks, projects

  • Insightly Use Cases and Deployment ScopeI am a solo attorney without support staff. I particularly like the Insightly Gizmo that appears at the bottom of my incoming Gmail. It allows me to "touch it once" and make a Task List item when I first read the incoming email. I can then file the email in the client folder and remove it from my inbox. Similarly, I am able to set up a new "Opportunity" or potential new client from the initial email contact from that prospect. Then, I can attach links to the Opportunity to reference the Referrer, the Owner, etc. Also, when I send email to a representative of the potential client, particularly when I have attached documents, I use the unique bcc email address to direct that email to the Opportunity file within Insightly. The same process is true if/when the Opportunity is turned into a "Project" or new client. When a client telephones I can then click on the Project and see the history of our email communication and document delivery.

    Pros : The Gmail Gizmo is a differentiating factor for me. Of most importance is the ability to set a Task with a reminder and details to describe what needs to be done.I like the ability to have email that I send to a client linked to that client's contact or Project.The are strengths for Insightly because they are efficient. I am operating without support staff. I chose to avoid hiring employees. Therefore, I replace people with technology. I can manage Tasks, Due dates, Contacts and Client

    Cons : The only issue that I have experienced is that occasionally the Gmail gizmo does not appear at the bottom of incoming email. Not sure whether that is an Insightly issue, a Google server issue, or a bandwidth issue at my office. But, it is rare.

    The social media integration feature is useful when trying to research potential business contacts
    Users can track all correspondence by linking their email accounts to Insightly

    What we didn’t like:

    Keeping in touch is what today’s business world is all about. In order to do that, businesses need more creative ways to manage clients, employees and other teammates. In the same time, they want to be able to streamline these contacts without having to access a myriad of applications to do so. Insightly fits perfectly into the needs of today’s business by offering up a nice suite of customer relationship management tools. While large feature laden packages can put themselves out of the price range of small businesses, options like Insightly exist to fit in for both the small and the large business customer. Insightly offers everything that you need to have successful CRM and more. The tool has tracking for email, phone calls, and notes on what was spoken about and when that conversation took place. It also offers the option for administrators to be able to track members’ activity from their home PCs or their mobile devices. Taking cues from social networking, Insightly’s interface evokes a Facebook-type feel. There is a recent activity feed up front and center on the screen, as well as a navigation panel to the left. Members can apply filters to their feed, so they only see what is important to them. There are also links to major projects and the people involved in them. Insightly offers a 14-day free trial, after which you can pick from the Free, Basic, Plus, Professional or Enterprise plans. Free offers just two users with a limited tool set and no Google calendar or MailChimp integration. Moving up in tiers offers more features and more storage, as you would expect.

    I first learned about Insightly in researching CRMs for the furniture company, I was heading up marketing and assisting training new sales reps. Teaching old dogs new tricks is no simple task in sales and furniture sales, it's even more apparent. Most seasoned sales reps are anti-computer, so I needed a CRM that was easy to use and simple to reference. Insightly did the trick. I tried several before landing on Insightly. Some have more features but added complications that frustrated my test subjects. Our sales team needed a simple solution to capture customer info and the products they were interested in. The integration with our Gmail powered email service was the biggest selling point. I added it to our account, and everyone was able to add emails sent to the customer directly into the captured customer info in Insightly, so if that rep was to leave, I could reassign that lead to another rep. This came in handy and keeping the customer happy and making the transition to another sales rep seamless. I do wish the follow-up process was more hands off but for the price, it's worth that step's absence. Plus, your sales team should be reviewing their leads on a daily basis anyways, right? You can even test out Insightly with three free accounts and most of the features for free. I think that's pretty awesome as most companies don't let you use it without harassing you mercilessly until you decide to keep it or pass. I used Insightly for 2 months before handing off to the team of 300+ sales reps. And they liked it As with any new procedure, there is some training involved. But sales reps who are organized can see the benefits and adapt rather quickly. I was really surprised at how easy it was to get them to use it. I normally had to fight everyone to get them to use it. But that Google App integration puts it just a click away when anyone within the company was browsing the corporate intranet page I built. Younger sales teams may pose a greater demand on more robust CRMs with all kinds of features. But if you're looking for simplicity and are using the Google Apps for Work platform, I recommend giving Insightly a shot.

    Pros :

    • Simple to use.
    • Easy GUI for seasoned sales teams.
    • Great customer service.
    • Same day responses to questions.
    • Great price!
    • Google Apps for Work integration.
    • Gmail integration is simple.

    Cons :

    • Reminders are not automatic.
    • Emails to customers are not automatic like some CRMs.

    Insightly is a decent Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution for startup companies. It is very helpful in keeping track of open opportunities as well as the win ratio. Insightly also features a contact database and allows tasks to be assigned to team members, sending immediate mail notifications. The status of every opportunity can be input and color-coded, which is very helpful for keeping track. There are various options for generating reports and keeping tabs on the various sales opportunities. The free version is capped at 3 users and 2,500 registries, which makes it suitable for startup companies only. Also, any company who starts working with Insightly must budget the eventual upgrade for when the team size grows, and the registries run out. The file storage space is only 100MB in the free version, so a complementary solution is recommended. Account management is the main weak spot of Insightly- sometimes when a new user is created the workspace isn’t associated, and it is necessary to delete the account and create it again. There are also occasionally failed logins and slow loading times.

    Pros :

    1)There is a free version which is very suitable for startup companies. The registry limit is somewhat high so it will not become a limitation in the short term. 2)Collaboration is greatly simplified thanks to e-mail notifications and reporting tools. 3)Keeping track of opportunities is very easy due to the labeling and color-coding features. 4)There is an app available for smartphones and other mobile devices, which further enhances CRM capabilities.

    Cons :

    • Account creation options are confusing. Sometimes a user account is created and upon login it is a completely new and empty workspace. The unique solution is to completely delete the new account and create it again.
    • User limit (3) and storage limit (100 MB) are the main limitations of the free version.
    • Occasional login problems. The web interface is very slow at times- definitely not recommended for larger companies.

    Every business needs to keep track of communications with its clients. It's especially critical in the sales process when you want to know where each client stands in the sales cycle. In addition to that, Insightly can also be used to communicate internally with fellow teammates and to send out emails to customers. The online CRM platform helps companies organize their interactions and it is also very easy to keep track of projects, emails and notes. At our company, we use it mainly for the sales cycle and to organize our notes so that everyone has access to them and can add to them or make comments from time to time. Insightly has the following options for its users: Free, Basic, Plus, Professional, and Enterprise. A 14-day free trial is available as well for the Professional plan. The free plan however does not allow third party integration such as Evernote, MailChimp etc. For the price they charge, I think Insightly is a great CRM software that offers plenty of features to its users. If this is the first CRM software you’re using, you will not be disappointed. You can always opt for a free trial before paying or opt for the free plan to familiarize yourself with the CRM software. However, please note that this software is strictly for CRM purposes and not for budgeting/accounting/quotes etc.

    Pros : - Easy to use - Free 14-day trial of the Professional plan - Good for small to medium sized enterprises - Affordable pricing - Good reporting tools - Email marketing - Can add/import contacts easily

    Cons : - Might seem overwhelming at first because of the multitude of features available - Lack of a clean dashboard - Not ideal for big companies - Good for light use only
