  • The software is ideal primarily for small and medium sized firms that want to remain in contact with their main contractors, collaborators and suppliers, as well as freelancers who need to communicate with their multiple clients using one solid communication platform.

  • Mixed feelings

I have been using, or should I say paying, for Contactually for the past year. I was looking for a CRM that would keep my contacts organized and in one place, and one which would help me follow-up with leads and prospects. Initially, Contactually seemed like the CRM for me. I loved the Outlook plug-in and the social intergrations. However, things started to go sideways quickly. Some of my contacts started syncing incorrectly with Facebook contacts--merging completely different people into one. Contacts that I deleted (repeatedly) were re-appearing with outdated info. Support was quick to respond, but they couldn't provide an answer, or a solution. They blamed Facebook and essentially said there was nothing more that they could do. I eventually had to un-link my Facebook account. About three weeks later, they contacted me to say that they had discovered a bug and that it should be fixed. Some time after that, they discontinued integration with Facebook. The next issue I had was the Outlook plug-in started malfunctioning. I would get error messages when sending email. Again, Support was quick to respond, however they couldn't locate the source of the problem. To be honest, I've never explored the marketing aspects of Contactually--the ability to set up automated email programs etc. I think I knew I wouldn't stick with the system long-term so I didn't bother to set anything up. I've been searching for another (cheaper) CRM for the past month.

Pros : I love the clean interface. Support was always very responsive, if somewhat limited in their ability to provide answers. As far as relationship management, the system does a good job of prompting you to contact people you haven't interacted with in a while. It also gives you a letter grade every week to let you know how you're doing, which is fun and motivating. There are lots of free webinars offered on how to use Contactually and how to improve your business. The Outlook plug-in is great (when

Cons : For me, the cost is too much for a system that I am not using to its full potential. In the process of trying to find another CRM, I've encountered plenty alternatives at less than 1/3 the cost. The inability of Support to identify and solve problems I had with the system is also a con. The only Social integrations are Twitter and Linked In, so the benefits of those to me are slim. The bottom line is that I would probably stick with Contactually if the price was right--and for me that means no m

Staying top of mind made made easier, great app for networkers

By far one of the most useful apps for anyone who needs to nurture and kindle relationships with other people. Whether you're networking, influencer stalking, lead nurturing, customer gratifying, friendship building, literally whatever you do that obligates you to build a relationship with another person, Contactually will make that process easier.

Pros : Contact management via their "bucket" system is awesome. Setting automatic "stay in touch" reminders to whole buckets at once is awesome. Having your complete conversation history for each contact directly within the app is awesome. The "scale mail" feature, think of it as bulk emailing (like mailchimp) but directly from your own email inbox (this means you'll be less likely to end up in spam while being able to send one email to dozens of people) is awesome.

Cons : Their pipeline feature needs some work. It's a bit clunky, but when it's as good as other apps out there, it'll add so much value to the app.

Fantastic support to back up a good and constantly improving product.

It's really the team at Contactually that make this such a great product. They pro-actively support user to get the most out of the system.

Pros : Fantastic customer service and support, great understanding of the real-world challenges of their market, solid CRM features.

Cons : Some of the interface is still a puzzle to figure out how to use it. For example, it always takes me a while to find the "add contact" button.

  • Contactually provides an extremely user-friendly CRM that would be an asset to any law firm looking to help its team stay on top of its contacts. Though the feature set don’t exactly make it a Salesforce competitor, it provides a solid set of CRM tools to help law firms manage their contacts, keep in touch, and develop their business.

  • Contactually might be a little more expensive than comparable CRM tools, but with its phenomenal support and almost limitless integrations, it's well worth considering.

  • Comparing to other vendors providing relationship marketing functionality, Contactually outstands in focus, simplicity, and a good partner network.

All in all a very good product and company presentation – well done!

  • Great CRM for the relationship champion

    What do you like best?

The bucket structure which helps to stay on top of all important relationships. Also like the playful elements with the bucket game.

    What do you dislike?

Search functionalities are not good enough yet. I would like to be able to search any data field and create reports of the people who introduced me to whom, what events brought the most deals etc. Sometimes, the email integration has a small snafu, but the support team is always available and able to fix that quickly.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you're used to traditional CRM system and want to push out cold emails to your huge database, Contactually might miss some features you need. Their system is not geared toward the sales person, who always wants to shove their products down the throat of thousands of contacts. They focus on the relationship sale and provide all functionality you need to build a really strong network. We're a huge fan of their system and their customer support!

What business problems are you solving? What benefits have you realized?

We needed a system which matches our sales approach of a relationship based sale. We are now able to drive 90% of our business through referrals and stay top of mind with our network to get introduced when they have a prospect for us

This is the CRM that I have been looking for, for years...

    What do you like best?

What I love is that takes all of the contact information from multiple sources such as Social Media sites and combines them to be one person or contact. This seems simple, but I don't know of another CRM program that does that. Once a contact updates their profile in Linkedin.com or Facebook.com, it is updated in my database.

    What do you dislike?

I don't like the fact that when I send out a bulk message using their ScaleMail feature, it does not let me know who actually opened or looked at my message for me to know what works in my internet marketing and what does not. If I send an individual message, their system does let me know that information.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Watch ALL of the How To Videos that are available first before you dive in so that you can setup a game plan and know how you are going to benefit from this CRM over what you have been trying to do.

What business problems are you solving? What benefits have you realized?

I have over 3,300 personal and professional contacts that I have personally made over the decades thus they are not Cold contacts and I want to engage these people for various reasons throughout the year based on what Bucket I put them in. This system is so organized and thus the right contact get the right message and hears from me rather easily. In my business, I want and need to stay on people's radar and this CRM allows me to do that with limited effort.

I love Contactually -- it's the best CRM on the market for me.

    What do you like best?

Bucketing. With almost 10,000 contact files on Linkedin, Facebook, Google, iPhone, Outlook, and business cards, I was looking for years for a good CRM solution that would allow me to synchronize, de-dupe, and ORGANIZE my contacts. I loved the bucket game (I really, really want it to be back on the App again) because it allowed me to organize all my contacts in seconds, minutes, days -- and it was fun and convenient too.

    What do you dislike?

I wish the Bucket Game were on the App. It's so convenient to play in 60-second intervals, which makes it especially good to do on a smartphone. I would play the Bucket Game once or twice a day if it were on the App. I wish the de-dupe program were a little smarter because I still have a lot of duplicates that need to be merged, but aren't flagged. When I'm on the contacts page, if I check multiple "buckets," the system assumes I want to see any contacts that are bucketed in one or more of the checked buckets. I wish checking the buckets was more like an "AND" operator instead of an "OR."

Recommendations to others considering the product

Give it 30 days and use it substantially -- bucket, bucket, bucket, and get organized. If you don't like it, you can export all your contacts, and those buckets/tags will be saved in the spreadsheet, making it less of a waste.

What business problems are you solving? What benefits have you realized?

It is far easier for me to reach out to large numbers of contacts in meaningful, individualized ways -- whether it's checking in with them, inviting them to events, asking them to participate in giving campaigns, or anything else. My contacts are so much better organized, so I can find people more easily when I need to.

  • Looks great, but keep looking

Contactually Use Cases and Deployment ScopeLooking for a solution to automate my contact management by keeping contacts up to date, tracking them via social, and providing basic lead scoring.

Pros : Easy to useGuided direction to clean up/manage contacts

Cons : Social tracking is really only through Twitter so though you can add LinkedIn, G+, and even AngelList social profiles, you don't get users' social posts from thoseThe feature that highlights opportunities to stay connected with "important" contacts COULD be incredible but it only reports to you when those users have birthdays or they tweet @ you. Rather worthless in that regard. Would be nice if Important contacts showed every time those people posted something on social media.Becomes laboriou

  • Contactually is a breath of fresh air. So much so that I am able to overlook its flaws and quirks. And since Contactually is less than 2 years old, I expect that there will be upgrades, improvements, and added features coming down the pipe in the near future. Contactually didn’t blow my mind, but it is a very solid 4/5 stars. If you need an excellent CRM, and not a powerful all-in-one solution, I definitely recommend giving Contactually a try.

  • I love Contactually. I spend several months researching and testing various CRMs, and Contactually blew them out of the water by a large margin. CRMs can be painfully clunky to use, and I feel like Contactually successfully balances between being easy to use and fully-featured enough to be really useful.
