My first impression with Dynamics CRM about three years ago was not great. I've used many of the popular CRM products reviewed on this site, and there are many great solutions out there. If your company has adopted Microsoft Cloud products like Office 365, the Windows operating system, or other elements of the Dynamics business application family, Dynamics CRM Online is a great option for small businesses and large enterprises, For full disclosure, I work for a Dynamics CRM partner which also offers other Microsoft products. A few years ago when I first tried it out, I wasn't at all impressed when I tried their v4.0 product. I have had my frustrations with Microsoft products, and I have expressed my views on them. I've really been impressed how much has changed over the past few years, to make it easy for sales, customer service and marketing professionals to track support cases, opportunities, client interactions and generate reports.
Pros : - Dynamics CRM Online isn't just a "watered down" version of the Microsoft solution, it is very powerful and offers a really flexible, user friendly experience. - There are a number of ways you can customize MS CRM Online for other business processes beyond CRM - HR, memberships, volunteers, events, and there are quite a few professional/amateur sports associations and teams who have bought Microsoft CRM because of how much the solution can be tailored to different use cases. - Microsoft is evolving to make their products compatible with different device platforms, and with apps for iOS and Android, and browser flexibility improving all the time, times are changing. - There are a number of ISV solutions, such as Click Dimensions, The Portal Connector and InsideView which can add a lot of value to Dynamics CRM for marketing, self-serve customer portals to Dynamics CRM. There are a lot of integrations with other Microsoft apps like PowerBI, OneNote, and Dynamics AX, but that's to be expected. You can find many addons
Cons : As a Canadian user, I don't have access to Cortana. I'm not sure how much I'd use it to be honest, but watching some of the promotional videos it seems to be pretty cool. There seems to be a compatibility issue between the new Microsoft Edge browser in Windows 10, but Microsoft will likely get that addressed really soon. The CRM search function has improved, how you can search across the entire system from a central place. Sometimes I have you looked for a contact I knew is in the system I haven't been able to find as easily as I should. No software is without its quirks, but Dynamics CRM has evolved a great deal, and has gained a lot of marketshare in the process.
We have 2 different companies running on timetonote. The system is really simple to use and provides good background of what is going on in the business. The email tracking is really useful and the integration with Google mail and apps are very useful.

I love Contactually. I spend several months researching and testing various CRMs, and Contactually blew them out of the water by a large margin. CRMs can be painfully clunky to use, and I feel like Contactually successfully balances between being easy to use and fully-featured enough to be really useful.More about Contactually

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 is a large program and has many moving parts, which do require some configuration and effort to get working properly on premises. The online version should appeal to small and even medium-sized businesses with limited IT resources. The software boasts superior functions that are marketed to increase productivity. Although, this may be true in the long run, the amount of time and lack of support on the front end makes adoption an issue. From the start, the system would not accept a conversion from free trial to paid account. When calling sales, there was a sales agent available even at night- WOW! Little did I know that this does not filter down to support! The webinars are overall good; but, the time allotted per webinar is not adequate to cover the material and allow time for questions. They are free though! Once you join and begin using the software, the first thing is to load the data. OK, where is the import tools- there they are! The system will upload the data and respond back that the contacts are already there and when your check, there are no contacts. This stops you cold as contacts are the basis for the system's first step in programming. Support! Ah, here lies the issue. The company failed to respond for over 24 hours to support emails and their own form. They do not provide a phone number for support. In fact, the support comes from an "unknown number." When calling the main number, you will simply be told that no one is "available to help you." Again, the only way to get a support tech is to make a fuzz. Who really has time for that in business? 2 starts for the product- would have been higher if I could actually have gotten to use it. 0 starts for support 5 stars for sales and marketing.
