Merchant insight

Unlike other competitors, Contactually actively suggests to its users who to follow up with on a daily basis - acting as a daily "to do" list. By designating each Bucket with a follow-up timer (ie: 10 days, 30 days, etc.), Contactually will prompt a follow-up based on the last email, phone call, or text message you sent. This automation allows your CRM to be proactive when conducting follow-up and outreach.

Additionally, Contactually allows you to use Scale Mail - a proprietary email tool which gives the ability to personally email up to 50 at once whole delivering high-quality, personal emails.

  • The software is ideal primarily for small and medium sized firms that want to remain in contact with their main contractors, collaborators and suppliers, as well as freelancers who need to communicate with their multiple clients using one solid communication platform.

  • I have been using, or should I say paying, for Contactually for the past year. I was looking for a CRM that would keep my contacts organized and in one place, and one which would help me follow-up with leads and prospects. Initially, Contactually seemed like the CRM for me. I loved the Outlook plug-in and the social intergrations. However, things started to go sideways quickly. Some of my contacts started syncing incorrectly with Facebook contacts--merging completely different people into one. Contacts that I deleted (repeatedly) were re-appearing with outdated info. Support was quick to respond, but they couldn't provide an answer, or a solution. They blamed Facebook and essentially said there was nothing more that they could do. I eventually had to un-link my Facebook account. About three weeks later, they contacted me to say that they had discovered a bug and that it should be fixed. Some time after that, they discontinued integration with Facebook. The next issue I had was the Outlook plug-in started malfunctioning. I would get error messages when sending email. Again, Support was quick to respond, however they couldn't locate the source of the problem. To be honest, I've never explored the marketing aspects of Contactually--the ability to set up automated email programs etc. I think I knew I wouldn't stick with the system long-term so I didn't bother to set anything up. I've been searching for another (cheaper) CRM for the past month.

Pros : I love the clean interface. Support was always very responsive, if somewhat limited in their ability to provide answers. As far as relationship management, the system does a good job of prompting you to contact people you haven't interacted with in a while. It also gives you a letter grade every week to let you know how you're doing, which is fun and motivating. There are lots of free webinars offered on how to use Contactually and how to improve your business. The Outlook plug-in is great (when

Cons : For me, the cost is too much for a system that I am not using to its full potential. In the process of trying to find another CRM, I've encountered plenty alternatives at less than 1/3 the cost. The inability of Support to identify and solve problems I had with the system is also a con. The only Social integrations are Twitter and Linked In, so the benefits of those to me are slim. The bottom line is that I would probably stick with Contactually if the price was right--and for me that means no m

  • Contactually provides an extremely user-friendly CRM that would be an asset to any law firm looking to help its team stay on top of its contacts. Though the feature set don’t exactly make it a Salesforce competitor, it provides a solid set of CRM tools to help law firms manage their contacts, keep in touch, and develop their business.

I am a professional coach and have dozens of clients with whom I need to get regularly in touch (followup in between sessions). I had been looking and trying differents CRMs (such as Nimble and Pipedrive) and Contactually is the best for what it does at a reasonable monthly price. Here are the real reasons why I love it so much:

    a) It's easy to use. Simple. Really simple. I love the "buckets" way to organize all your contacts. It's visual and fun!

    b) It allows me to schedule different auto-responder sequences. As a coach I need to add value in between sessions, and have around 20 programs that automatically send personalized emails to my customers and work the way I would manually do. It saves me a huge amount of time, and what is more important: my clients are happy because feel nurtured by me!

    c) It allows me to mass message all my contacts (but they receive a personalized message) in one click. You can easily target your database (by filtering with "tags" and other "custom fields") and send personalized emails to all of them (with a limit of 300 messages per day - enough for a small biz like me).

    Pros :

    • The ideal CRM for small business owners because it's simple and easy to use.
    • You can easily access all your contact database (sync with social media accounts such as your LinkedIn connections), and quickly see your network health (and remind you of interacting more with "key" people).
    • You don't have to install anything (it's a web based service) and you can access all your conversations in your mobile phone (and it even tracks your calls with those contacts).
    • Fully customizable contacts and email templates that saves you time.

    Cons :

    • The single thing that I am not a fan of Contactually is the customer support. I have had about 3-5 issues in the last 3 years (nothing really important), but it took too long to come up with a solution (maybe 3-4 days when I expected a prompt solution within 2-3 hours.
    • Sometimes the person I was talking with had not all the knowledge to answer my questions...but all in all, Contactually is the only software I am happy to keep and pay every month for.
