Cloudswave Score for Cyberlink Media Suite
Rating based on 12 Critic Reviews
While CyberLink Media Suite 12 costs just under $120 retail (with a 30-day trial), it may be a bargain for many users, especially when you consider that it packs not only some powerful media authoring and managing tools that already work together, but it can also replace component Blu-ray or DVD players in a home media system.

The complexity of Media Suite is undeniable. It works as a media editor, player, organizer, ripper, burner, and converter. Yet, the set of software programs would be complete if it included a screen recording tool. The home users won't have any reproach about the suite since the advanced editing features exceed the average capacities of most similar programs.

While you may not need all the various components, those that you do will be able to handle numerous tasks. The Media Suite approach does help to remove any confusion over which tool is best suited for individual tasks. Rather than just open the individual application, Media Suite attempts to place you at the correct point within the software to begin your work. A wide range of video and audio formats are supported along with peripherals and you can convert content to over 100 of the more popular mobile devices and consoles.
For the most part, we were pleased with what we saw from CyberLink Media Suite. Any little issue we found will likely be remedied with future versions. We recommend this program because it’s the combination of the best of the best from CyberLink’s catalog. It’s hard to argue against several excellent programs rolled into one powerful utility.

Media Suite 10 offers tons of features and functions, most of which can be useful to the average user. Yet in deciding whether Media Suite 10 is a good purchase for you, you need to consider how many of Media Suite’s functions are performed by applications you already own.
If the answer to these questions is yes, you’ll need to decide whether Media Suite 10 adds enough additional capabilities over what you already have to make it worthwhile addition to your existing mix.

This comprehensive multimedia playback suite comes with full 3D capabilities but suffers from some small oversights.
If you want to convert media for portable use or social networks, this should be your first port of call. It's fast and reliable compared to the open source encoders we've tried, it has a wide range of outputs and the movies it produced from our test video transferred easily to iPhone and were generally of good quality.

There's no Blu-ray support, and we miss MediaEspresso, but the suite is still packed with powerful features - and it's great value for money

CyberLink offers the slickest media suite, with fast GPU-enhanced operation and the best media-suite video editor. Blu-ray playing, authoring, and burning are also plusses. If you're looking for powerful audio editing, however, look elsewhere
