  • Reliably does everything thats needed

Found the app to be very easy to use. Allows for easy set-up of a webinar and the sign-up page looks professional. The connection is always clear with no lag, additionally the software has some handy features for presenters such as screen selection and features around highlighting with your mouse. Moreover, the ability to record webianrs for future re-use is also useful. Overall if you want to run professional webinars this is great.

Pros : Excellent feature set. Great software with no lag/bugs. Good compatibility across devices. Professional look and feel.

Cons : Doesn't allow for he landing pages to be customised enough, would like more options around typography and background.

Excellent value and very useful features

I've used this for 2 to 3 webcasts a month for several years now. The recent (late 2014) roll-out of an entire new feature set really brought GoToWebinar to the top of web conferencing usability. Highly recommended.

Pros : Ease of event setup, source tracking and excellent in-conference capabilities. Running events is fairly simple.

Cons : Registration landing pages are not flexible and are very confining.

  • Citrix GoToWebinar (with Marketo Sync)

GoToWebinar Use Cases and Deployment ScopeFirst, to be clear, my primary work with GoToWebinar is on the back end to sync our webinars to our marketing automation tool, in our case, Marketo. My experiences have been from this perspective, as well as being part of the test webinars and setup for those that we produce for marketing purposes. As mentioned, our marketing team holds a series of supply industry-relevant webinars to help educate transportation and operations professionals in current issues facing the supply chain world. These webinars are held either with all panelists on-site or sometimes with panelists off-site as well. While our organization has many licenses for GoToMeeting, our webinar usage is confined to our marketing team.  We started hosting our own webinars in order to have better visibility into the kind of ROI it was providing. It cut our costs to run them on our own, and it helps us to see what topics are best for our existing customer base, as well as prospective ones.

Pros : GoToWebinar syncs easily with Marketo from Marketo's Launch Point menu. They work fairly seamlessly with little hands-on work required. Since it was important for us to have visibility into what kind of growth we can get from running webinars, this has been the single greatest piece about using the platform. We are able to use Marketo's built-in analytic tools to determine the efficacy of our topics, our panelists, and running webinars in general.GoToWebinar is able to support a panelist-type we

Cons : We have had some issues using GoTo to run a live webinar that is based on a previous recording. In our particular instance, we had a panelist have to cancel last minute, and it was a struggle to successfully record a practice to then run for the live webinar. The platform is built more for a live-session.In the past, we have had recordings disappear. We record all of our webinars to then house online for people to watch at their leisure (a common practice). There have been, on more than one occa

  • A Solid Tool for the Online Presenter

    What do you like best?

GoToWebinar is a straight forward tool with a new interface. The new interface is more modern than before, and I find it easier to navigate. It does its main jobs of hosting and presenting content well. The process of creating sessions is well thought out and easy to execute. The interface while hosting is also easy to interact with.

    What do you dislike?

The audio controls leave something to be desired. If a user has dialed in without an audio PIN, it can be difficult to isolate and eliminate unwanted interference and feedback. I would appreciate enhanced customizability of the registration pages. I would also like recording links to be the same as the original recording. As of now, we have to post to our website twice as we archive recorded sessions.

Recommendations to others considering the product

The pricing of GoToWebinar was attractive next to the competition. For the most part, we've had a good experience with GoToWebinar, but it's not without it's quirks. The new interface is an improvement, but I would still like to see more customization options on the registration pages. Practice a few times before going on the air and go through their recorded trainings to familiarize yourself with the tools and best practices.

What business problems are you solving? What benefits have you realized?

We use GoToWebinar to host customer and end-user trainings on a variety of topics relevant to our industry. By doing so, we are enhancing our mindshare as well as positioning ourselves as a thought leader in the industry. And well, it feels good to share information with people that will help them in their business and lead to their success.

Great for everything except Video Streaming

    What do you like best?

Very easy interface to use and some customization features are appealing. The ease of recording is also very nice. I don't usually use their registration system but the few times I have I find it easy and have not heard many complaints from my users. I also like the mobile access features.

    What do you dislike?

The lack of decent video streaming (if I wanted to play a video during my presentation). Although I hear they are fixing this with a new release, I'm still listing it here. I also don't care for the fact that I can't use my phone/tablets camera as a webcam when I use the mobile version.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Call CITRIX and ask for discounts. The price on the website is usually higher then what you can negotiate.

What business problems are you solving? What benefits have you realized?

Running an education program, we were looking for a solution that allowed many of our attendees outside of the metro area to attend trainings. GTW turned out to be a great solution for a variety of reasons: 1) inexpensive (when compared to others) 2) recording feature allowed us to share with those whose schedules didn't allow for live attendance and 3) Chat Logs capture questions (and answers) allowing us to go back and follow up with attendees that needed extra attention.

  • GoToWebinar delivers. The screen sharing, broadcasting, recordings, and interactivity tools all work without lag or bugs. The detailed reporting metrics are impressive and informative. GoToWebinar has my stamp of approval.

  • GoToWebinar makes it easy to create an online seminar, invite attendees and conduct a presentation. Additionally, its customer support is excellent, though you may not need to use it because the application is very user friendly. We look forward to future updates that will hopefully add the hottest features on the market such as mobile accessibility and seamless attendee payment integration.

  • Much like GoToMeeting, GoToWebinar is an extremely intuitive and easy-to-use tool for large live meetings and webinars. It is a great tool for beginner users who are new to hosting Internet-based seminars, but it still has all the more advanced tools that will satisfy the needs of the more seasoned webinar organizer.

  • GoToWebinar can be recommended without hesitation to any company seriously committed to maximizing reach of their target audiences, in the most cost-effective, secure and reliable manner. With unmatched and multiple user-friendly, features, GoToWebinar stands head and shoulders above the rest.

  • GoToWebinar is reasonably priced because it allows up to 1,000 participants. This is ideal for larger companies or entrepreneurs who make money from Web conferences. The polling tool also helps keep participants engaged in the conference. GoToWebinar is a useful service for professionals who do not need to video chat with participants or view participants during conferences. This service offers time-saving features and polling tools to use during conferences. However, video quality is poor, and the service has no option to connect a Web camera during the conference.

  • Webinars are one of the best tools for evening the playing field for small-to-medium sized businesses. GTW is an established product you can have confidence in. It offers both PC and Mac support, and in response to some earlier criticism, has recently revamped its webinar mobility.
