  • I tested about 25 different task trackers; and we decided on Redbooth just do to its general usability to track tasks across multiple projects by both internal and external staff. We had tried Asana - but in the end; no one used it .. to cumbersome, ugly and more complicated then our staff needed or could handle. Redbooth ws the 3rd little bears bed that just fit right :)

    Pros : Design Ease of Use Power

    Cons : Time tracking not linked into a more powerful engine Could use a more robust calendar.

  • There is a lot to like about Redbooth. It’s a robust project management application with some very interesting advanced features and even more interesting features for Pro plans. While there’s plenty to like about Redbooth, for me, the friction involved in task entry and management, along with the lack of a decent iOS app added to my frustration with having a not processed ‘inbox’.

  • Redbooth online collaboration software is simple to use, flexible, affordable and has great integrations. It has displayed continuous growth both as a company and as a collaboration platform. Over 400,000 client organizations including Fortune 100 companies can attest to it.

    The main advice I would give any organization considering a project management platform is to make sure it will be adopted from the top down. Our company has struggled to maintain the excitement and momentum we had when first implementing because many of our leaders are not using it, therefore causing employees to slack off and move away from using the system.

    We have been using Redbooth for about a year in our Corporate Support Center. Our Marketing Department mainly uses it to manage creative requests from our nationally dispersed Client Support and Business Development teams. (We were previously using email/sticky notes).

    Redbooth has been a life-changing tool for our graphic designer. She is able to attach designed documents directly in Redbooth, get feedback, make adjustments, and resend — all without having to access email. In addition, our Client Managers can submit a request (and research the status of their requests) from anywhere.

    The interface itself is very intuitive. And, similar to Trello, the individual tasks can be very simple (name, owner, due date), or they can get really complex (description, attached documentation, etc.). Where it differs from Trello is that users have the ability to see their own tasks aggregated on the dashboard, rather than having to move project to project to see each one’s associated tasks.

    Perhaps our favorite feature is the video calling / screen sharing. We have GoToMeeting and use it frequently for meetings with clients, but we have switched many internal meetings over to Redbooth. In addition, for one-on-ones with remote team members, we are able to have a “face to face” meeting over the Internet!

    Redbooth also offers an iPhone app, but from my experience it is lacking. The app constantly needs “refreshed” to see the most up-to-date tasks, meaning it is not truly real-time.

    Pros :

    • Easily organize team.
    • Create multiple projects with permissions for each.
    • Online meeting tool with video calling and screen sharing.
    • Task list templates for projects with similar timelines.
    • Task aggregation on dashboard.

    Cons :

    • Mobile app is a little bit sluggish and not truly real-time.
    • Tasks cannot be assigned to multiple people.
