Google Drive is an extremely convenient option for file sharing and new document creation, although it’s unlikely to hold much appeal for people looking to backup large quantities of files and keep them as safe as possible

Google Drive is a big name that provides decent value with good performance, which is why it's one of the best online storage services. While the overall value of the 1TB subscription isn't the best, it's well above average. The upload speed was excellent, and while the download speed wasn't as fast, it was still far above average. In addition, it's easier to use than most cloud-storage apps. While there is some concern about the privacy of your files, the two-step verification option is an important security feature.

Google Drive is very user-friendly and is a great option for businesses in search of a reliable office suite, yet do not have the funds to invest in expensive office programs. Google Drive comes with the tools and features that have proven to be great for business collaboration and internal communication, such as Google Calendar, Hangouts and more.

If you're not using Google Drive, what are you using? I use this to build documents, share with colleagues, collaborate in real time, and access files via mobile apps. Google Drive is brilliant for its ability to save your document changes in real time, meaning you rarely lose changes. The only downside is when Google Drive goes down; if you build and access most of your content and documentation on Google Drive, shut-downs essentially turn off your business. Luckily, these black-outs last for only a little time, perhaps a half-hour or less.
Pros : - Real time multiple-user collaborating - Instant saving of document changes - Ability to use view, suggestion, or edit mode - Mobile access and mobile editing - Ease of sharing files
Cons : - Interface not as robust as Microsoft suite - Pulling MS files from your email attachments takes a few steps to convert to a Google Drive file

I love Google Drive. Just as with Gmail, Google's cloud file storage app is not only free, but very easy to use. A big part of that is its seamless integration with Google's other apps. From right within Drive, you can even create new Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Drawings, and Maps. Collaboration on these types of file is a cinch. You can actually see the other person working on the file in real-time. I've used this for personal composition, podcast content scheduling and editing on the fly, even doing content editing for a book. If it's an important file, it gets stored on Drive.
Pros : Very easy to work with others on a single document.
Cons : None that I can think of.

With interface improvements and more features, Google Drive keeps getting better. In fact, it’s practically indispensable if you rely on Android or Chrome OS devices for your work.
All in all, Google Drive is a solid system. It’s possibly the easiest software to set up and install. It’s very intuitive to use. It’s deeply integrated with other Google services, which is a benefit to the more tech-savvy crowd who already use those other services. Plus, as a Google service, it’s only going to get better. Google loves to improve their software to make users happier.

Google Drive Use Cases and Deployment ScopeI work at John Jay College and currently at my organization Google Drive is not being used. However, I use Google Drive for academia purposes and it has been a great way for me to keep track of my work and I am ensured that it will not get lost.
Pros : For the Microsoft Word Google Drive. I love how it saves my document every second. It leaves me at peace knowing that if ever my computer suddenly turns off I know that my document has been saved to the recent edit.Excel is a great feature in Google Drive. I can do all my spreadsheets for school and work if needed.I have done presentations on Google Drive and also created groups of two people or more and we were all able to work on one document and share our ideas and edits.
Cons : Honestly, I have no suggestions of improvement on my end with Google Drive. It has always gave me great use and service. I never had a complaint when using it.

Google Drive Use Cases and Deployment ScopeThe entire organization utilizes Google Drive. It is an ideal platform for shared editing of spreadsheets and documents, in addition to general document sharing. Also, it is ideal for designing templates that can be used to generate standard team documents or sheets, especially when combined with Google Sites and Google Apps Scripts that tie the products together. The sharing settings are simple and easy for document owners to manipulate.
Pros : Simple, easy document sharing. No need to worry about your back-end architecture and setting up complex configurations.Business Continuity... no worries about disaster recovery & such, it's all handled by Google.Ability to import Excel sheets as Google sheets. Most formulas translate directly without issues.
Cons : Increased capabilities for the spreadsheets is always good, although it would be tough to implement the complete array of options available in Excel. Still, Google is regularly improving the product.Google should continue to improve on the available APIs. They are decent, but there are some limitations here and there. They could be simplified more. The apps scripts are simpler to use. For C# and Java, you have to call a number of commands just to get to where you want to modify a cell &

Google Drive Use Cases and Deployment ScopeGoogle Drive is being utilized to promote collaboration between department members. We currently make our curriculum available to all teachers in the department through Google Drive. It allows us to share, edit and monitor all that is being done in the department.
Pros : I love how easy it is to use and navigate.I also love how Google docs, slides and all the other Google apps work well and transition to Microsoft products.I love how it keeps all of our department's files neatly organized.
Cons : I have had a few problems where Google Drive did not update for one of the members in the group. This has only happened two times, but when it did, my colleague could not see what I had accomplished even though I had updated a document.

Google hits a lot of high notes with a deep feature set, powerful collaboration features, and rich ecosystem of multimedia services. Privacy conscious users may still take issue with storing data on Google’s servers. Their pricing model is starting to age. Their feature set is scattered across many interfaces and services. But if those downsides don’t push you away, you’ll be rewarded with a well-featured and solid cloud storage suite.
Google Drive's excellent online editing tools, competitive pricing, and collection of useful apps make it an extremely versatile cloud storage service that appeals to business and personal users alike.
Google Drive is a very useful app for those who constantly work with various files and want to find a way on how to access them while on the go. It’s free, lightweight and easy to use. The only issue is that it could be difficult to work on your sheets since you’re working on a small screen. Other than that, this is a good find.
