I have to admit, I'm not using Cubby a lot. There is so many competition, that at sometimes, you need to stick to one. Cubby is not very popular, so when you want to share with others, you will get a lot of "I don't have a Cubby account". I know, the answer is "go get one, it's free" but you will receive a "why, I already use ***" So, why Cubby? First, it's by LogMeIn, one of the best cloud company. Second, they give you 1 GB free for each friend you invite, and that's a lot! And Third... you have a real selective sync. Instead of having a root folder, with a subfolder, you create "Cubbies". A Cubby is like a folder. You can share, and sync a Cubby. When you install the desktop client, you will select which Cubby you want to sync. You may want to sync your documents on your personal and professional computer, but maybe sync your personal picture only on your personal computers. Also, maybe your pictures are on your C: drive, but your documents are on your D: drive. With Cubby, you select the Cubby, click sync, and choose the destination folder, for each Cubby. I use it to sync my Outlook signatures, my games save, my apps configurations, etc. You can simply create a Cubby by Dragging and Dropping a folder into Cubby. It may be used to share, or to backup. Unfortunately, storage is pretty expensive. You can have 1 TB for 10$/month from competition while with Cubby, 1 TB will be 40$/month. The Cubby client is pretty big, without a lot of advanced features. They have DirectSync to sync across computers, without the cloud, but only with the paid version. The data is encrypted, and you can add client-side encryption if you really need it!

Pros :

  • Selective Sync Select destinations individually 1 GB for friend invite From LogMeIn.

Cons :

  • Not very popular.
  • The client is ugly.

CloudApp is a very useful software and really well developed, through the use of this software, and through his own Internet service, you can share any topology files such as pictures, video, music, with an impressive ease of use. To start using the program, you need to download the software, about 60MB installer directly from the website. Obviously, in order to use the service, you must create a new account when you created your account with your user and your password you can use either the Web service that the client application.

Pros :

  • Once the program is installed, you can upload files by simply dragging and dropping one of your files on the small icon in the shape of a cloud.
  • At this point, the file will be immediately uploaded online on the Cloud made available by CloudApp.
  • The strength of this software is definitely for sharing his incredible speed and ease of use, all this has been possible thanks to its user interface that proves very intuitive, minimized, essential enough, to help the 'usability is also possible to use the shortcuts to make it even faster.
  • The default shortcuts which are always used to make the 2 main features of the program: Shift - Alt5, with this shortcut you can make a screenshot of your screen, the convenience of the screenshot of CloudApp is the ability to cut out the part that most interests you and share this way only a portion of the screenshot.
  • Shift - Alt - 6, with this shortcut, will have the ability to record video portions, always having the ability to crop a portion you like, and you can easily send gif created by you and absolutely smooth, crisp customized.
  • Using the icon you can also directly access to the various functions and preferences including: deciding whether to automatically open the Web interface (this will take you directly to your personal page,) to show notifications, to decide whether to run directly CloudApp login to decide how to use the link to the share, etc.
  • One of the very useful features is Auto-Upload, with this feature you can choose to upload a screenshot automatically. The link that provides you CloudApp is a link that you can share where you want without limits, this allows maximum liberty of sharing.
-If you want, you can of course also work using the Web interface, but using the application obviously makes everything faster.
  • The Web interface is different, however, are available additional features such as view the history of your recent screenshots and on the left you have your library with Popular categories, Images, Bookmarks, Testing, Audio, Video, etc. Trash.

Cons :

  • Cloud app provides different types of accounts, the free account, however, has limitations Loading such as file length and the number of uploaded files, is a bit too oriented to be a paid service.andnbsp;

I hate beta because it can entice developers to keep their product in a constant state of development (I’m looking at you, Google). Even in Cubby’s beta infancy, I believe it is the first true competitor to make a legitimate run on the cloud syncing crown. LogMeIn has a solid user base and they are known for producing a good product at the right price. If they extend that level of quality and product innovation into an already feature robust Cubby, Google Drive will be the least of Dropbox’s problems.

For as many syncandbackup solutions there are out there, not one makes sharing files easier than Cloud. Available on the market since 2010, the recently-updated Cloud 1.5 is now more powerful than ever, with the ability to generate public links, personalized upload notifications, and Raindrops support for extending its functionality.
