I discovered Google Analytics when I made a Redbubble account and started uploading my work. I wanted to keep track of how many visitors my page had, saw my content, know which of those contents was the most popular.. overall statistics about my page and how to manage it.I found this platform to be very user-friendly and tried it with my portfolio, it was the best decision I've made. I can now see how many people come to my site, what they do when they're there, how much time they spend on a tab and which of my posts are more popular.
Crazy Egg is a great heat map tool that allows you to get a visual representation of how users engage with your website, with several ways to see the data, from the ‘confetti’ click locations, to scroll maps that help you to understand the percentage of people who scroll down your website. It provides you with a clear picture of obstacles that your users may be facing and buttons/links that are not being clicked, allowing you to update your pages to make them more intuitive and function the way that your users expect them to function.
There are plans that have been designed for everyone, from a small low-cost plan that provides enough data for somebody that has a small website with low traffic, to agencies that manage high traffic websites, tracking multiple pages across multiple domains. There are several ways to view your user engagement, each one of them has its own benefits, giving you clear visuals of user interaction. You can block IP addresses to ensure that you (or your company) don’t influence the results The interface is so easy to use, allowing you to quickly set up tracking and easily switch between your snapshots.
All opinions are personal, and they don't reflect the opinions of my employer either past, present or future. The amount of data and options are amazing. Really powerful tool. As well as the fact that all that data can be combine with different search levels really makes this tool one of the best out there. I've been impressed by the quality of information you can find on Kissmetrics, and they always have something new which is interesting.

Google Analytics is a free service and is arguably one of the most powerful tools you'll ever use in order to develop your website. It links with all of your other Google account information allowing you to access everything from a single connection. The charts are appealing and the information is greatly accurate. Since bots can appear seemingly random, it's a welcome change to not have to include those inorganic numbers if you are trying to gauge your site's popularity.More about Google Analytics

I’ve tested a couple of other heatmap tracking tools and none of them has come near to what Crazy Egg has to offer. Ditch the eye tracking tools, and even In-Page analytics, and pick up Crazy Egg if you want to increase your website’s conversion rate. I highly recommend Crazy Egg. It’s very easy to use and fairly priced. It gives you what you want. No fluff!More about Crazy Egg

Google Analytics offers users an amazing amount of data about their website visitors. Primarily geared toward e-commerce, some of the functionality of Google Analytics isn’t relevant to libraries. More importantly, the data is given without context, allowing users to see how website visitors are behaving but not why. In light of this, Google Analytics is most powerful as a tool for gathering information to complement and inform other library assessment efforts.More about Google Analytics

We have been using the tool for a couple of years to measure precisely our conversion funnel on various A/B tests. It requires quite a bit of training before you can really master the various options and reports but it is powerful. Over the last couple of years they have been increasing very significantly their entry pack which makes it today a pricey solution. The price varies based on the number of events you track per month. The main issue is that you don't receive any warnings if you go over your plan limit and they start charging you the next plan automatically. On top, as you don't receive any invoice by email you need to be on top of your credit card statement to know how much your are spendingMore about KISSmetrics
