aid about the manpower required to manage future cloud applications. We have already discussed how it has been estimated that the cloud alone will generate 14 million jobs by the year 2015. Other articles have discussed a shortage of qualified manpower and have discussed its impact on the fruitful utilization of this technology.
This post discusses how IT professionals can prepare themselves for the coming future. The major job growth will be in fields related to cloud architecture designers, integration experts, smart phone application developers and similar areas will see an increasing demand for manpower. We are already seeing some effects. It is said that the smart phone app development sector has seen the addition of 466,000 new jobs. Of course, many of these jobs would have been filled by persons already active in the IT field and also by those working part time or freelancing.
There are other, non IT sectors that will see an impact too. These are finance, marketing, sales, production and design among others.
